The opening seen here reminded me of the romantic film Titanic "You Jump, I'll Jump". So lovely to see images of the PNW in autumn, Chantrelles in the market, cold rain in the air. The desert is just now cooling to reasonable temperatures - you two would enjoy the atmosphere at Saline Hot Springs in Death Valley and the 5 remote private soaking pools to get the dusty trail off your back
Hearing you talk about women's fear of independance makes me wonder if that doesn't apply to women AND men? Thing is, once somebody becomes an adult, a man's only obvious option is to become independant whereas a woman can choose to forego independance by finding a partner to rely on. Course, I'd hope a woman isn't encouraged to forego independance. Personally, I think relationships achieve more when there's two players on the field, rather than one sitting on the bench... metaphorically speaking. 🙂 Great video, as usual. With so much rain around at this time of year, it's always interesting to see how others deal with it.
That’s a valid point the book talked about too. The new women movement promote that women “should have the choice”. The paradox is, when that choice is given, many women can and WILL go with the easy way. But the easy way don’t always turn out well cuz they lose their own ability over the long run. In a way “handicap” themselves. Still a controversial topic. Just thought provoking as a good read.
You don't become useless when you have a man. You just share responsibility. Going through life is hard and with the right partner, it makes it half easier.
Yes, and we wouldn't even exist if our great great grandparents didn't make themselves tremendously useful to eachother.Whether male or female, they did everything they could for eachother and their families.
Not a "party pooper" until you can't eat meat, dairy or wheat.....then it becomes a real challenge to set out a charcuterie board. We've got all kinds of food intolerance folks in our family/friend circle, including full on celiacs. It's amazing what can be found in Vancouver to accommodate everyone's health/ethical issues. For the true vegans we can even find some decent rennet-free cheeses (or vegetable-based rennet - though the quality of vegan cheeses definitely pales in comparison to traditional cheeses). I was raised in a family that hunted, and am definitely not a vegetarian. Still, I do want to try to support ethically raised and slaughtered animals when and where I can. Being a cheese lover, and supporting the dairy industry and its "dirty little secret" which involves annual slaughter of dairy-cow calves/veal to keep their dairy mammals producing milk, is just something that I've learned to accept. Being able to use the slaughtered calves/lamb kids is preferable to me than wasting the animal, even if it's just the 4th stomach. Having canine teeth and technically being an omnivore helps me justify the enjoyment of a well-rounded diet. Kudos to you for trying not to eat animals. It's not always easy to avoid. Love the photography and editing. Have yet to get any Vessi products. Enjoy the support and protection offered by genuine leather, but maybe some Vessi shoes for hanging around a campsite?....definitely more convenient to kick them off to keep the inside of the tent clean. Men also like to be taken care of.....it takes effort from both partners to continue to learn, grow and enjoy shared independence. It's not an oxymoron. Honestly, the personal satisfaction to be gained by being able to do things for yourself as well as for another is an ongoing incentive to maintain and develop all your skills.
I’m lactose and wheat intolerant.. there are always substitutes for vegan cheese and gluten free crackers. But sometimes I’d take enzyme and suffer cuz I like cheese too much😅 I try gluten free bread as much as I can.
Hi 😊! Very nice video, lovely camping and nice camera work. Keep on ! I also make camping videos, before in Russia, ow in Vietnam. Take care! Good luck with your channel!
I don't see why a man would make a woman useless? In any decent relationship, both partners are very useful to eachother, or there is no partnership. If the woman is useless then she's not doing her part but is rather leaching off the man for her own selfish and shallow reasons.
Careful with that extreme feminism propaganda. It produces single, bitter, childless 40 yr old cat ladies who blame everyone else for their choices.... lol. My prayer for you is to find a man who compliments your strengths with his weaknesses and vice versa. I hope you live a long, full life, have many happy & healthy children, and that you'll continue to be a blessing to others in all that you do. And may you tame the horses you ride, but never be tamed by them.
I have to say…..Ironman, Kings, right hand drive and Vegemite. You’re such an Aussie! I can’t believe it’s over 12 months since we said “hi” at the Eastern Creek show! Come back soon!
