Hello speicher. This summer i went camping with my me3.0 i did only put weight on the seat and apply the seatbelth strap. Turn on the ignition on the button as you did and it did run all night, with out the motorhood open.. i did not try it after the 3.0.7 update through.. Hope you do a new camping video in the alps showing if you found new gadtes and tips n tricks. Example how to level the bed, without example dreambokses. Nice to have you back and even better now also in english😊
Such a video in the alps is already in my backlog with some new tricks and new gear. Leveling the bed is one main topic i'm currently working on. Plans are a custom made built-in "camper-module" with diy-components and with the building plan available for those who do not want to buy an expensive product :)
Not camping related, but still releated to how the Enyaq handles activation/deactivation; Do you know or have any experience on how the Enyaq works using a jumpstarter on the 12v battery? I carry a 12v jumpstarter in case I ever get into a situation with a dead 12v battery and is unable to start the car ignition. However after experiencing the car turn off ignition whenever I leave the car, I wonder how this procedure of jumpstarting would work, if the car automaticly shuts of the ignition again when leaving the car? I.e If I pop the hood, connect the jumpstarter, get into the car and start it successfully, and then gets out of the car just to have the car turn off the ignition again would be kinda depressing. Looking at your video it seems the car will enter a maintenace mode with the hood open (atleast on the ME3 which I have), and probably that means that I can actually get out of the car after starting it with a jumpstart without it shutting off??.... But then again I cant drive with the hood open.... so what happens when the hood then is closed and I'm outside the vehicle closing it? Does it turn off immediatly, or does it stay on until I get in the seat and leave again? It would seem kinda fiddly and bad design to have to carry a jumpstarter, a sandbag and also fasten the seatbelt just to start the car successfully with a flat battery if you are alone in the car :-/ -Actually I wish Skoda could implement a feature that could be activated from the infomtainment keeping the car ignition on for atleast 5 minutes after leaving the car so that it doesnt shutoff/reset when just getting out of the vehicle to put something in the trunk or check the mailbox - that would actually be simply clever ;-)
Really useful to know thank you - I had wondered how to leave the low voltage fridge running in the trunk on the 12V supply, now I know! Can you re-lock the car after you have triggered this mode though? (thinking I may need to leave it to go to the toilets etc!)
Yes, you can lock the car again. But for the 12V supply it is much easier because you can just set a fuse to have it always on. But main problem is dicharge of the 12V battery which will not be recharged without active high voltage battery.
Do you or anyone else know if this works on the new 2024 version with software 4.0? I have one incoming in the summer and haven’t been able to find information wether it works or not
As of now the SW4 does not have a camping or camp mode. But I guess the trick shown works also with SW4 but I cannot try it at the moment. Will do as soon as possible
