The camping moon fuel transfer adapter allows you to transfer gas from one canister to another. Follow the link below to get one for yourself. www.amazon.com...
I got myself one of those gizmos as a stocking stuffer from the wife last Christmas (she was pretty surprised when I opened it Christmas morning lol). It's a great little doo-dat and worked exactly as advertised and helped me clean up my collection of partial canisters that never seemed to have enough fuel to take on a hike but too much fuel left to simply throw away. Well worth the money in my opinion.
Got one for 2€ from Aliexpress. Saved me so much money on the Camino from leftover fuel canisters. Lots of people leave behind half empty canisters when they buy a new one.
I bought a cheap unbranded one of these a couple of years ago. I put both canisters in the freezer and let gravity do the work of transfering the liquid gas. Never had a problem except once, when I overfilled. Attaching a stove and turning it on resulted in liquid gas coming out, so I just reversed the process to lower the content and all worked well. Now I can buy the cheaper (by volume) big gas cans and transfer to my tiny cans for weekend trips or medium cans for a week. It's been a game changer. The only thing to watch out for is that you shouldn't put propane mix into a butane-only can, the pressures are higher with propane.
This was very helpful. I bought the Camping Moon limited edition year of the rabbit lantern that came with a mini isobutane canister. I then purchased the fuel transfer adapter, and now I can just follow your example. Thanks!!!
👍 have had one for a while, mine was cheaper, but not quite as nice as the one you have. Give Chris the near empty one…. Maybe w less fuel available he won’t burn his steak or pancakes so badly ! 🤣
