Camping with the Bearded Hobbit. On my latest camping adventure, I visit 5D Ranch in Navasota, TX where I do a little tarp camping. On this excursion, I build a simple shelter using a tarps. I'm more of a hammock camper but this was a great chance to try out a few things.

I wish I had done this 20 years ago. In Boy Scouts we did primitive camping at Enchanted Rock when it was cold (wrapped up in tarp like a burrito), one of the islands in Houston County Lake (laid on a tarp in the open air ), and Order of the Arrow (laid in sleeping bag on the hard dark ground).

@@Hobbitbuilds Order of the Arrow may have been legalized indentured servitude. We weren't allowed to talk for two days in addition to manual labor.
