This is why I admire you Chana! I recently went on a camping trip and everything that could go wrong went wrong. I let myself get frustrated and discouraged and forgot to see & appreciate the moments when things were good. And I didn’t even have kids with me! 😂 Seeing this makes me want to work to be more patient and appreciative of the small stuff. Thank you!
Oh nooooo! Camping is hard. I am a very experienced camper and backpacker and yet I forgot silly things like a can opener that we needed for breakfast (thanks to Mom for saving the day LOL). It was so rough. But I needed to try, and I am glad I did. I am so glad this inspires you to be more patient and appreciative of the small stuff! I find that for me, when I am more appreciative of the small stuff, I have an easier time being patient. Let me know how your next trip goes! I truly hope you go back again :)
I love your spirit and how you turn challenging situations and always make them somehow positive! Most people including myself are not always so optimistic through these obstacles. Just love your outlook on life:) I also think your incredible patience and guidance is teaching your kids to be like you and to make the best out of whatever life throws at you:)
Oh thank you so much for your kind and heartfelt words 😊❤️ I really appreciate you taking the time to tell me those things. Thank you for making my day! Hope you have a fantastic week :)
I think your positive outlook is so lovely. You really made the best out of the setbacks and it looks like a wonderful time! You made me want to go camping!⛺️ Shana Tova!
Belushi87 Thank you for your answer! We were a camping family at the same time i have always been in awe of these RV/campers: they look so cool! Thank you for your answer! Shana tova
Belushi87 we have been looking into a trailer... My husband doesn’t love tent camping the way I do 😂 There are some pretty fancy pop up campers these days! One was parked at a site near us with an air conditioner and bathroom!!!! In a pop up!!!
So nice to enjoy my dinner with this sweet camping video from the fall 2020 🥰 I love going on hike’s, I do it everyday day, mostly in the neighborhood, but sometimes other places too. I am also doing everything in a skirt or a dress, and I love to see what I feel, like it is so natural, and comfortable, and no stress at all 😊 Love and blessings from Johanne, Norway 🇳🇴
So glad your trip worked out for you in the end. We love camping and we are so sad we didn’t get to go this year. I love the differences in your climate, though - you can go camping in winter?! 🥶 And being able to take the rain cover off the tent...even in the height of summer here everything is soaked with dew first thing and the nights can be chilly, so bed mats and extra blankets are a must. I really miss it! Although I love that my kids are still talking about our long camping trip two years ago as the best holiday ever, even though it rained for the entire week (I agree with them, it was awesome). Roll on next year!
So glad you enjoyed our adventure! Ya, winter is the time to camp here! It rarely gets too cold and it’s so much easier to bundle up a little than it is to try to cool off when it’s 100°+ out 🥵 That’s so great that your kids loved your trip so much!!!! I’m not sure my kids would love a rainy campout lol then again... rain puddles are fun!!!
Wow...wonder woman taking the children on a camping trip by yourself even with your parents near by!! I am an indoorsy girl....I need my little comforts. However we did camp out growing up and eating breakfast cooked outside is pretty delicious so it does have some advantages.:)
I grew up camping, that was pretty much every vacation we ever took, head up to the mountains and sleep in a tent! SO I am pretty used to it :) I totally agree with you, cooked breakfast on a camping trip is the best! We usually do pancakes, but this meal was what we were eating at home so its what we brought camping. What did you like to eat while camping for breakfast?
@@jaroffireflies Oh yes, I will refer to you as wonder woman from now on. I really like that 😁. Not really a fan of camping and the outdoors and all the insects... but hey that's why I love to watch your videos. You do a lot of stuff I would never do, or can't do and that's why your vids are so interesting to me.
@@jaroffireflies Well, Arlene and I (and for sure a bunch of other viewers who don't want to comment!) can't change how you feel about yourself, but we can let you know how we see you. So... wonder woman it is 💕😉
I am sooo sorry about the fire ants!! We have them where I live also haven't been bitten for a long time! Also grew up with poison ivy & poison sumac all over the place! Lots of prayers & love! 💞
Shana Tova to you as well! I am not sure if what I did was brave or stupid lol And like I said it had ups and downs in roller coaster fashion lol But I will definitely do this again :) More Camping!!! LOL
frum it up no sleep until the next night boooo I actually took the kids to go play in the creek all afternoon after we got back home 😂😂😂 Needless to say, we all slept very well :) Abd BH my son was safe! Failed equipment like that could put him in the hospital easily if unnoticed
Wow! I've never been camping.....city dweller over here....was there a restroom? Did fire ants bother at night? I've recently had events happens that has demanded I slow down....camping is now on my bucket list. Were you able to wash your hands in the morning? Would that water source be appropriate for dunking new dishes?
Camping is awesome! There was a restroom close by with showers and everything. The ants did not bother us at night thankfully!!! Please let me know if you try camping, it’s so much fun! We did have running water at our campsite which made hand washing simple. The lake would have been appropriate for dunking new dishes, but it was not necessary because we didn’t bring anything new that hadn’t been toveled (dunked) already :)
