The tip about securing an electric site so you can setup a fan is brilliant! I’m a new to camping, and was absolutely miserable last weekend when trying to sleep in 90 weather. Thank you!

Another thing to help keep camping easier is to have dedicated storage bins and dedicated kitchen equipment. My wife and I bought 3 large totes to fit most of the gear and kitchen equipment into. That way we don't have to raid the kitchen for utensils and pans. Tote 1 - camp fuel, propane tanks, table torch, lights (lanterns, flashlights, solar lights), ropes, tarps, tripod grill, fire starters, table cloth. Tote 2 - propane stove, utensils, pots, pans, enamel plates/bowls/cups/silverware, other kitchen stuff Tote 3 - blankets, first aid, bug spray, and we'll add batteries and games. Then when its time to pack the truck we grab the totes, a cooler for the perishables, canvas bags for non perishables, luggage, tent, screen dome canopy, cots, cot pads, sleeping bags, tiki poles, and tarp poles. Much easier with dedicated storage and dedicated kitchen gear. Get your storage bins and kitchen utensils either at dollar tree or walmart to keep costs low. Ocean state job lot has stuff for cheap like batteries vs going to a home improvement store. Camping equipment is an investment so there is some upfront cost if you like camping. I DONT recommend going cheap on your tent - buy quality. Cots are better than air mattresses because it won't leak or tear and you have a foot of space from the ground, and pads for them make it almost like you're on a real mattress. Buy quality cots and pads.

@@moderntentcamping I have an '09 Ford Ranger. The bed gets full and the rest goes in the child seat area in the cab. It fills up good. As we hope to have kids, we don't know what we'll do at that point. Probably have to take two vehicles! My wife wants to upgrade to a 5th wheel some day, but I say no until we're too old to do tents (early 30's now). She got me into camping and I thought I would hate it, but I fell in love with it. We've definitely used the points in your videos for guidance.

@@deborahnaybor2233 We don’t have any camping recipes but we do cook a lot of good tasting foods at home and cook most of these same things in our campsite. Unfortunately, we don’t plan our meals ahead - and so our meals are pulled together at the last minute - according to our plans for the day, our taste hankerings, and the ingredients we have at hand. I love to fry in my cast iron skillet and bake in my cast iron Dutch oven. When camping, we usually cook breakfast every day and another meal most days. And I usually bake one thing every day. Biscuits, cornbread, fruit pie, and sometimes white bread. Since my wife is Mexican, we frequently eat Mexican foods and I hope to video a few of these in the future. Thank you for your continued support and comments. Take care.

Buy a 20x16 tarp and use it as a roof for your tent. Have one end lower than the other (where it makes sense) so if it rains your tent doesnt get very wet, if at all, and you have a dry area to sit outside the tent.

www.academy.com/p/coghlans-10-in-heavy-duty-nail-pegs-4-pack We camp a lot in Tennessee and This is what we use. We pack 25 of them in our tool bag and use them to setup both tent and kitchen shelter. When the plastic top breaks, we replace it with a large metal washer from Home Depot. When they bend, we use the back of our camp axe to re-straighten them. When they get stuck in the ground, we use pliers and sometimes a small crow bar to remove them. Hope this is helpful.
