I used to weigh near 300 lbs, I just measured yesterday and am at 238 lbs, I started the journey early in 2020 and it makes me so happy I've been achieving my goals, but I lost almost 10 lbs last month because of my new job. So I've learned that not only is diet and excersising important, but having hobbies and a active job makes a huge difference
That’s awesome. I used to be a solid 300 and now I’m 240. I’m only 5’7 so I still got a lot of work to do, but I’m really proud of myself. We can do this!
Way to go buddy. I was in the same spot 305 lbs Christmas of 2019. Now I'm bouncing right between 225 and 235 lbs, eating steak and veggies like a king. I think I have gone as far as diet can carry me so i got a cage, weights and my resistance bands show up in a week. Keep on keepin' on.
White Okay ru-vid.comUgkx6K7NWahp9y3ir1gVAwysOCHOOPSnWZbw . I got it from my browser's history. I know that it's really frustrating to be over-weighted but all is possible with a strong determination. Good luck…..
He's right. I've recently lost fifty pounds by working full body, but most of all push ups and squats. The weight just fell off and the muscles firmed up in two months. And I haven't even gone to the gym yet in this process! Now I'll just supplement my workout with these chest exercises. Thanks!
I feel the same way. I hate extremely hot days because the shirt will never come off because well if I do not want to see it then I know no one else does either. People say women are only body shamed but well we all know that is bsht.
@@KianaShalix yeah dog. But listen, one thing Jeff overlooks is attitude towards self. You need to have your own back. Literally have your back stronger and be your own best friend. Accept yourself. You don't occur in a vacuum, you are in a society. Look at society. So Be gentle with yourself. Also, the overarching way to achieve all that he says is a by-product of being proud of yourself and kind to yourself.
Jeff, I started your program about 10 years ago. And even though it's been years since I last logged in, I maintain everything I've learned from you. That's why I look like an athlete now (because I trained like an athlete) and am working on my NASM PT certification currently. You have been a huge inspiration. I'll continue to view your content looking for new tips (no tricks).

He even kept his knees together to engage the Adductors as well, to ensure he's really working his core and not his hip flexors That's what I heard at least
I played basketball with my brother one day with my shirt off. I felt somewhat good about my belly but I have chest fat. So I was running up the court and my brother told me I have man boobs. I walked off the court and just broke down because It made me feel so bad about myself. It gave me the motivation to start working out and now I am feeling a little better. I am going to try to do this routine and see the difference. Thanks Jeff!!!!!
Legend has it that if Jeff loses a tooth on one side of his mouth, he knocks the same one out on the other side to prevent muscle imbalance in his jaw muscles
1. Check if it's gyno or not . 2. keep a proper diet 3. Do chest exercises to increase the muscle in the chest ( exercises are in the video) 4. Keep your posture straight. Don't lean too much. Keep your back straight.
@@udhavstandout8733i was a football player i had good body then, but i quit it 5 years ago and after 1 year and 4 months suddenly my body starts to store much fat and being soft after that i started a hard job and in just 2 months i lose 16 kgs because i dont eat much but i regained it when i quit the job and now i workout for 5 hours in the gym, i dont drink alcoholic drinks and soda too i also dont eat much but i dont have proper diet i gain muscle but it isn't that much visible because of the fat, i am 64kgs right now
I wish I saw this when I was in 6th grade, I had no idea what was going on with my body so instead of exercising and eating right, I starved myself and fucked up my posture to hide my chest. At my worst I damn near looked like a holocaust survivor. 24 now and It's thanks to Jeff's videos that I'm starting to get my life back and out of pain. I thank you for the videos Jeff, you're going to save a lot of guys from what I went through.
Thank you Jeff, not only did my chest size decrease but so did my thighs/legs and stomach. I appreciate the time you put into giving us tips and motivating young men.
Jeff as a 48yr old man, I wanted to say Thank You for taking the time to help us with all that you have done, After a rough 18months you have not only given me the motivation to get back in the gym but to get my old ass diced for summer. I ordered a few tees on the website to help support your brand, 6'5 260 18%bf start of week 7 of a 20 week program. You are a Masterpiece. Drucifer
it's great that this guy not only talks about the physical side of having chest fat but also the emotional side , such as embarrassment at going to the gym or beach etc, which can be a big issue with men. Loved the video presentation and advice.
Hey Jeff, I'm 35 and my shoulders, back, and knees are pretty worn out from football/rugby/military. Your channel has already helped me start to get back into shape, but I'm wondering if you have any recommendations for exercises that are best to do with these problems? Thank you for making these videos!
I've worked out with weights since I was 14 and I'm now 49. I found this channel a couple years back and I have to say, it's made a big difference. I saw another video on a similar subject which was the outer chest and how to shape it. Jeff demonstrated wide grip presses, dips and light fly's which I started doing immediately and wow, what a difference. My chest filled out and I finally got that classic wide chest. Anyone watching and wondering if this is just another channel or if it's something special and worth paying attention to, I urge you to watch all his video's!
I was in decent shape 4 years ago and found this channel very helpful in molding my body into the shape I wanted. I had a major stroke 4 years ago and I am still recovering. I have a lot of weakness on my entire left side. I've gained 30 pounds since my stroke, mostly due to inactivity and poor diet, I have found the advice on this channel to be the most consistent with what my occupation and physical therapists tell me to do. The only difference is that their goal is to get me to a baseline compared to average people. The exercises show on this channel have a goal set for a higher standard and I appreciate that.
I've followed some of Jeff's workouts over the past month.. And I really do see the difference in the way my body looks overall. So there is truth to what he preaches.
Thanks jeff I needed this advice. Already knew I need to create a caloric deficit but these exercises are what I was missing. I'm a trucker so I have to get my reps in the parking lot most of the time and I am going to have to get creative to simulate some of these but you definitely got me started in the right direction. I got big and lean and then said to myself, "okay I made it! Now I can eat whatever I want and stop lifting!'.....aaaaand now I have love handles a 2 pack and man cans LOL!!!!
To lose the stubborn fat (chest, love-handles, or wherever else your body stocks it) you need: Caloric deficit + Time + Patience!! There is no magic fix.
@@johnnybravo4737 no not the chest just I’ve grown some fat on the belly coz of all the bad food I’ve been eating coz of loss of Appetite. The diet portion would help.
Hey Jeff, Thank you for being my motivator. I am 74 and one of those guys very self conscious about my chest aka man boobs. I started using My Fitness Pal not only for calorie intake but monitoring what I put into my body. I have put a mini gym in my garage and my day starts at 0600. I just started with a routine and eating. I know changes happen with consistency and discipline. I continue to watch your videos and add to my list on the dry erase board. Thanks again, keep up the good work inspiring people and doing exercise the right way...
Thank you so much for this video, I was watching you before COVID and used your tips in the gym and managed to lose 11kg in 4 months before COVID shut everything down and I ended up hospitalised. Now I’m discharged and will go back to the gym ASAP. Love your videos!
@@batuhanyigit6168 I'm a master personal trainer and I still watch him. There's always something I can learn that can help me grow individually and professionally.
BUILT A STRONG CORE WITH BANDS , would be very useful and good addition to the recent band series. Legs and triceps as well. Thank you Jeff for all the great content !
Thanks for your video, it applies to me. About 2 yrs ago I weighed 265 pounds I got down to 185 and did that with only smaller portion size. I’m 65 years old, walk 3 miles a day and look forward to working the rest of your video into my life style.
"Don't let the opinion of the average man sway you.Dream and he thinks you're crazy. Succeed and he thinks you're lucky.Acquire wealth and he thinks you're greedy .Pay no attention, He simply don't understand." Stay blessed
@@Monk_Funk I'm not the one you asked, but let me tell you this. I wasn't skinny, still aren't, but after I started working out I'm seeing my body taking shape, like actual shape is starting to form where fat was before. Now I'm no fitness guru, but I think face pulls are carrying me.
Your gut biome might be holding you stuck at this level. I fasted a bit, which is proven to help reset gut microbiome, and it made a slight caloric deficit work better for me afterward.
I have my friends on mute, my family on mute, my groups on mute but I have Jeff's video notifications on so that I can come here within an hour to get that free workout. It's always , " better luck next time" 😭😭😭
Addressing 1 Is psuedo-gynecomastia not gynecomastia (not the same thing) gynecomastia effects males through puberty and in most cases goes away shortly after while psuedo-gynecomastia effects adults and the primary factor being testosterone/estrogens imbalance, primarily caused by food intake. To fight and eliminate this health issue stop eating high carb foods and high sugar foods. The moobs will melt away. Love the vid, great info, good content.
Thanks Jeff- sound advice delivered in an understandable way. Following your programs I've shed a stone already, well actually about 22 pounds in the last 5 months. Now working on the chest. I'm 67 and let myself slide but now I'm getting back on track. Thanks again man- and compliments of the season.
Me: breathes Jeff: breathing is actually killing your gains Me: stops breathing Jeff: however if you squeeze ur core and use your external rotation to breathe it is beneficial
Hello ATHLEAN, I've been bullied for almost 4 months in school and I'm sick and tired of them touching my chest and now I Started a 1000 calories per day I'm on day 2 and I noticed some changes. I LOVE YOU AND THANK YOU GODBLESS!
Bruhh. I was offended and amused at the same time by "man cans"... But "bitch tits" just ripped my heart out and had me laughing my azz off. I need to get my chest in shape...that's why I'm here.
I like how you broke it down fat stores lower, then rises. Lose fat where you last gained it at, which is head, neck, shoulders, chest arms, belly etcetera in a reverse way. My chest is getting leaner and more defined, and my stomach and legs are the last to go in that regards. Thank you man.
Hi I’m a 240lb male and I started working on my body since summer and looking back from then and now I feel like my body has awakened, thanks man keep up the work
I have man boobs as well and it sucks. My weight overall is normal for my height. But no matter how much weight I lose I still have man boobs. And I actually had gyno surgery a long time ago so it sucks to have them back.
@@teesmith501 keep consistent Tee. Be happy in your skin no matter what. You have way more to offer than just physical traits. God made us all different. Work hard and keep trying man. Hey Jeff thanks for another great video. I’m a commercial driver I recently purchased some TRX ropes that I now incorporate with my weighted vest. I only eat one meal a day and I balance my vitamin mineral intake through supplements when I have that One meal. It’s working beautifully and my weight is just falling off. Not just in one area but in all areas.. Just a quick testimony and I hope it helps all your viewers to never give up. You can still get into shape without having to pay expensive gym memberships and if you are mobile like Me you learn to keep a routine and focus on your health. Guys and gals I wanna tell you something you only have one life and we all need to focus on keeping ourselves healthy and not taking for granted what we have. We have an incredible body that is an incredible machine that can do incredible amazing things. Diet and exercise together will work. What I do is one meal a day and I eliminate carbs I eat a meat with a vegetable and I drink lots and lots of water. I drink lemon juice with a little bit of apple cider vinegar in the morning and at night. My sleep apnea has gone away I no longer snore and I have no more headaches and my high blood pressure has gone down to Normal. This works for me I hope that you will find something that does work for you and I hope that what I have given here will help others thank you!
im the first, ur the second :( if u lose a lot of bodyfat it wont look that weird anymore , but u gotta stay lean because the gyno will apear really fast as you gain bodyfat
does it happen also in love handles and arms area? cuz my skin feels like not toned no matter how i build it doesnt go away i got rlly lean but still skin is just thiicc idk can someone relate to this ? or am i having another problem ?
I have gynecomastia and making me insanely depressed. No matter how long years of commitment or how heavy I left, my chest will always look weird and saggy. Never let yourself go fat, not even once.
if u lose a lot of bodyfat it wont look that weird anymore , but u gotta stay lean because the gyno will apear really fast as you gain bodyfat. but if you are pretty lean and have it, gotta do the surgery . good luck mate
@@marieneeeegaming9702 I'm lean as hell and it still looks kinda weird smh. And the moment I gain just a lil bit of fat it starts gettin pretty bad. Its annoying as fuck cuz it takes away from all the hard work I put in and makes me look not as good as I want to
Same here man I've always been on the leaner side and never really gained much fat but those puffy nipples make me wanna crawl into the fetal position and just stay in my room :(
I was a full time athlete (soccer) from teenager to age 30 when I damaged my ankle and was no longer able to run. It was hard for me because I was no longer able to do the thing that I loved and really do cardio. That depression and lack of exercise caused me to gain weight obviously but I'm now 36 and determined to get myself in shape again. It has not been easy but through diet and exercise I am making progress but not at my final goal of 180lbs. Started at 220lbs currently at 199lbs.
Jeff, thank you so much! This is exactly the issue I'm dealing with and I was right on the verge of giving up and just hiding in the house until the fall when I could start wearing sweaters again. Thank you thank you thank you!
He’s done it before but he was criticised pretty heavily because he went against what pretty much every other strength athlete or coach would normally say. I would say it’s one of the few things he’s actually been wrong about.
#askjeff Hey Jeff and Jesse, I had a question about sleep. I've tried a lot of methods but some nights I just can't sleep. Would you recommend melatonin supplements? I am a teenager and I'm worried about the side effects of melatonin supplements on my natural hormonal cycle. I eat well and exercise well and even practice healthy habits to maximize sleep quality. However, despite this I find myself wide awake from time to time. I'd appreciate it if you could help! Love from India.
My teenage son finds melatonin very helpful for sleeping, and has no side effects. You can also practice good sleep hygiene and mindfulness meditation. Good luck!
@@heidifink991 Thank you for your advice! I already practice meditation and I'd say I'm pretty hygienic. I'll look into melatonin supplements. Can you recommend one please?
@@smusic6537 you're welcome. FYI, by sleep hygiene, I don't mean being clean, I mean having an evening ritual or habits that you do every night to help get your brain & body ready for sleep, and going to bed at the exact same time every night. It puts you in the sleep habit. As for melatonin, we have tried many brands and they are all good.
I thought I'm getting gynocomastia & I went to doctor he said it's normal it's just fat & now I'm comfortable with it bc I can literally get rid of it whenever I want CHEERS
I think the way Jeff says only a few people have it is misleading. Fat tissue turns testosterone into estrogen, so the more body fat you have the more likely you are to get gynecomastia. I'd avoid being bulked for too long.
What I love about this guy is he isn't like everyone else that tries to make you think just exercise is what you need, and it will be easy and super fast, he is extremely smart when it comes to health and fitness and I've noticed he always starts with diet and how that is the main foundation of which you build your growth in fitness on.
My diet isn't as healthy as it should be. I find myself slouching a lot. I've done it for years to make myself smaller so I don't standout as much. Now that I'm older (54), its becoming a health issue with very High BP. My self image has really gone to pot. I've got to do something now. Thanks Jeff!
Thanks for all the free advice man! You’ve been a great help over the years I’ve followed you… definitely helped a lot learning the science behind the exercise that you think would be common knowledge but can be so easily over looked!
Thanks for making this video Jeff I’ve been struggling with this for awhile and I’ve been working out hard in the gym the past 3 months and I’m making it a big part of my life so thank you for this video
Nah Jeff 100% been watching you from day one and by far you are the best out there I.take my hat off to you you say it as it is honest guy and anyone that has the chance of being under your training what I mean is if you train people they are lucky because they will look better than what most these guys could ever get ya
@@rhyscooper3693 actually theres soooo much research done tht shows its not a myth soy is bad when in its true form unlike completely changed like u get in whey protein or soysauce soy is one of the reasons asians have a very feminine look to them eating tofu and all that shi is so bad for u
Yes I really needed this info I’m 23 my biggest downfall is having man boobs. I be feeling so embarrassed to wear certain shirts , go shirtless sometimes unless I’m at home. I’m tall as well I always wanted to have a nice big chest.
I'm around 16% body fat right now and sometimes I see my 4 pack but my body chooses to store that fat in my chest and my lower belly ffs. Still trying to cut more and see when my body gets rid of that excess fat
