With the times being that close, I'd like to see you do it without gutting the interior out. I fully believe it is possible. At the very least, save gutting it for a dead last attempt if you need to.

Driver skill difference doesn't account for skill in different cars. Alex has driven a bunch of e46s' and that other guy owns the m3. I think they were each the best driver for each car.

Idk but in switzerland we have "double" numberplates, were you can have one plate for two cars so that they run under the same insurance...maybe there is something similar in the UK?

OK plate story. I actually bought the plate about 10 years ago when I had a 350z. I didn't buy it to put on anything other than a V10 and I thought I'd work really hard and be able to afford a V10 (non BMW) like a CGT, LFA etc. Sadly testing tyres and making RU-vid videos doesn't actually pay much at all so I sellotaped it to this m3 so I didn't have to pay the £80 retention fee every year. One day I'll have that CGT...

Nice, but change your airbags! E46 has killing Takata airbags. Visit your BMW dealer! Its for free. My BMW dealer change two airbags on my E46. (driver and passenger)

MrDanielsahne how much is the kit? 3-4k? You can get hybrid turbo and tune for the diesel for1000£. I think they are trying to keep the price as low as possible. Good luck with the supercharger, I'd like to force induct my 330ci in couple years when i get used to the power

Really enjoyed your previous series and looking forward to this since I recently picked up a 320d msport. I would highly highly recommend a remap for min effort, max fun gains. I used a Superchips Bluefin but there's other options out there. The big gains in low down torque is great fun 😁

They will put on Nankang NS2R witch are low budged extreme performance summer tire, if they chose some high end R comps - Direzza Dz03g or Pirelli Trofeo R, that alone would shave off 2sec

The laps should be done by the same driver in each car, if you want to take this seriously. Also you would have the M3 in complete running order like, not using an M3 with brake issues.

Word Maestro I have an E46 M3. I don’t have brake fade on track days , but did wear out street pads in one day. I now have PFC 08 and have had 3 track days and they are almost like new. I know the E92 is heavier and it’s brakes can get hot. I was speaking to he said he had a flat out ABS malfunction. I think you can even see it on the cluster. That should not happen even if the brakes are getting hot.

Word Maestro All I did was put track pads on for going on the track and the brakes have been fine ever since. Street pads for the street track pads for the track it’s simple.

Looking forward to this! Be warned though, we owned an E46 330d from new and on about 50kmiles a metal grub screw got ingested into the engine and took out two of the six cylinders and blew the engine up. I look forward to seeing your finished product!

They're trying to make it easier for the E46. Nurburgring is a super fast track, the E92's power would be a bit too much to beat.

Right at the start of the video they say "faster" than the M3. In which case to be truly faster the Nurburgring is the ultimate track to prove this.
