What does the Bible say about exorcism? Do exorcists exist today? In today's video we answer your question: Can a Christian today perform an exorcism? Source: www.gotquestions.org/Christia...
Yes that’s how I came to faith I dated a satanist who “sold her soul to find out what she already knew” quite a way to come to faith Jesus was the name that caused her to seize with her eyes rolling behind her head as the demon inside her begged through her voice “please please don’t send me back to hell” “ it feels like I’m dying on a loop right now” and at one point “I know Jesus but who are you” the whole time tempting and distracting and lying anything to avoid the pain. What is the source of the pain? LOVE think kinda like Voldemort in the first Harry Potter, if you think it’s you doing it and get prideful nothing happens and it begins to lie and manipulate, you kinda have to keep a cool head and concentrate Gods love while using the name Jesus as authority over the demon. Gods love is a consuming fire to the wicked but to us it is light and joy. She desperately needs prayer it’s been over 5 years and she lies saying I beat her or tried to kill her I love her very very much more than any other woman I very much feel like Hosea, I have the story on my RU-vid channel and the demonic artwork she drew or shared to give you an idea that I’m not lying.
We need not only Love from God and more be filled with Word of God. For His words is two edged swords and put on the whole armor of God (Eph 6) so we will be able stand against wiles of the devil.
Mark 16:17-18 King James Version 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
It's not often that I disagree with your videos, GQ, but I have to disagree on this one. I am afraid that if a demon manifested itself in a church today that most Christians wouldn't even know what to do. Most would probably take the person outside and leave them in that state. I think it goes to show the extreme lack of faith being displayed in the western church right now. I think part of that is due to the many false teachers and cults that have arisen. We don't want to be identified with them so we shun whatever it is they claimed to have done in God's name. While I think to a certain degree that is healthy, that doesn't mean God's word is no longer his word. I think it goes back to what Jesus said. When he returns, will he find faith on the earth? I believe signifying that when he does return faith will be at an all time low and where there is no faith (or little faith), God can only do so much.
Amen ! Preach the gospel the great commission don’t get sidetracked with all this spirituality. trying to know what God is, and what the devil is in every day life is not what Jesus intended the church to do.
Nothing you presented really says whether or not a Christian "can" perform an exorcism, as the question asks. The Bible nowhere forbids a Christian from being able to perform an exorcism. Rather, you seem to have addressed whether a Christian should or does, to which you've only said that it's hard to determine. I'd be curious to hear your response to the question that was asked as to whether a Christian "can" perform an exorcism. Blessings!
Jesus made it clear at Matthew 7:22,23 that: “Many will say to me in that day: ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and EXPEL demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?” But Jesus declares to them: “ I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness!” Any who claim today to expel demons aren’t instruments of God but agents of the Devil. In using persons as exorcists, even doing so in Jesus’ name, Satan would not be divided against himself. Rather, by this seemingly good work of undoing the case of demon possession, Satan would be transforming himself into “an angel of light,”thereby advancing his power and influence over the deceived. (2 Corinthians 11:14) Certain gifts like speaking in tongues and expelling demons was necessary when the first century Christian congregation was formed to show it had God’s backing. But the Bible tells us at 1 Corinthians 13:8 that these gifts would CEASE! And that happened with the death of all of the apostles by the end of the first century C.E. True Christians do not have the power to expel demons!
Mark 16:17 & Acts 16:18 explain that this was not only spoken of by our Lord Jesus Christ, but also done after his resurrection by Paul. @GotQuestionsMinistries - you are incorrect on this topic and it is very unsettling.
The New Testament outlines believers casting out demons. So either you're saying that demons stopped possessing people, or that Christians have just become inactive in our role to do so. I say the latter
Take your instructions from Jesus, in the word, not this video! The Bible is so clear that Jesus wants his followers to cast out demons, heal the sick etc. eg. Mark 3:15; Mat 10:8 We are never to cease doing God‘s work, which means being like Jesus and setting the captives free ! Believers please beware, this video does not line up with the word of God! 🙏🙏🙏
In general you guys never reply to the video title's question, or eventually the "response" is we don't know how, therefore we don't have to do that. Is there a part of the Bible saying that demonic possessions will stop occurring?? Is it written that the Apostles received a developed handbook to perform the exorcisms?
@@dougrotondi2691 He had a physical malady, he wasn't possessed, even if the source of his pain was of the devil. Job too was given great sickness by the devil but was never possessed
