Can a DJI MINI 2 Capture FPV Footage?

In this video we experiment with the DJI MINI 2 when adding the prop guards accessory to see if FPV like footage can be captured. We go up into a forest and push both the drone and the propeller guards to their limit. As well as this we test out a new bit of a kit in the Insta 360 One X2, an amazing 360 camera with endless possibilities.

i got the pro guards and it drains the battery. nice views there. always watch out for the one branch that may come up for a surprise.

I still use my mini 2 for these kind of shots what your trying out with prop guards and had some amazing results ,I tried the same shots with the air 2 s and hit obstacles even with the obstacle guidance on. The only way to do these kind of shots is with prop guards on , when you want crazy footage like I do you have to take risks to get that footage ,but I must admit when the drone went under that tree on the steam ,I wouldn’t have attempted that but it was a great shot you did .

Think we are on the same journey with FPV, although I have a cinelog25 on order , we the wee one a Tinyhawk 3 in the office. Maybe look at a simple 3D printer bar between the prop guards abovce the the camera though

Thanks for that! Jack is practicing before he gets let lose on our protek35 that we bought. He has done lots of hours on the simulator and internal practice drone s is ready for the real thing soon. Enjoy and happy flying, hope u enjoy the video and we will get a bar printed, like the idea!

What happened to FPV mode??? The view should tilt, but it doesn't.

Of course always an option but we were opting for a different feel

@@edinburghdronecompany That's what FPV mode is! FPV mode is failing here, with the most recent Fly app. FPV mode means the view tilts when the drone tilts. It's the simplest thing in the world. You just nail the camera to the drone and that's FPV mode...

@@edinburghdronecompany I updated the Fly app to Android Version V 1.5.10 and now FPV mode does not work, the view remains in line with the horizon instead of tilting with the drone like it should. I have been asking all over about this but seems nobody has a clue. DJI replied but has not confirmed or denied the problem. Litchi FPV mode does not work either, confirmed by Litchi.

@@JonathanSterlingUSA - unknown, we didn’t have it switched on. We have heard of a few updated related issues especially on android with DJI but sadly we can’t do anything locally, only each brand can change software.
