As Dan with Gears and Gaggits said" it's Harley's Swiss army knife". I too have the tour pack but not the Batwing. Can't wait to go on a nice long trip.
I did the same thing to my 2017 Fatboy, and I love it. One thing I would add is the lower fairings on your crash bar. They are really nice and really complete the look.
Off the showroom already its ready to d the miles and that’s what makes the Heritage a best bang for the buck. But the other things you’ve done is equal to any touring bike. So Yes, it is a touring bike!
Love it. I have the 2020 Heritage Classic. I just got my Amazon chopped tour pack with the wrap seat for the wife. It came yesterday. Next will be the fairing. Your bike looks awesome. Ride safe
Heck yes!!!! Agreed on the fairing, for sure! I may never take it off. I love the bars too, but I have no need for anything bigger....the heritage is a nimble bike. Nice vid!
I have a 2018 heritage I use my bike for long trips I have no problems very very relaxing ride I have cruise control when I need it lots of storage with my bags and HD luggage I also have the upgrade HD seat with the back rest love my heritage
Buddy of mine traded his road king for a heritage. He's been riding the heritage from Kentucky to Las Vegas every year for 10 years now. Says he's more comfortable on the heritage. Him and his wife make the trip every year on it. I tend to agree because the sitting position on the heritage is also more comfy to me. I feel awkward on a road king
I have a 2020 hertitage classic and Yes it can be for touring. Its a comfortable ride. Just add an engine guard with foot pegs to stretch the legs. I can do without the fairing but it does look good. To me the bike os the best of both worlds because it can be stripped down in 10 minutes for a completely different look. Remove the saddle bags, wind shield and rear seat and bam its a street cruiser
You can do voiceover. As far as touring on the heritage, yes, but...I'd have to try one. If I was going to get something with a batwing, maybe the EG Standard or a FLHTP. I'd probably have to get a larger windscreen on a heritage anyway. Water tight luggage is a plus. IDK how the HD bags are with either the heritage or touring bikes are in terms of that. The panniers and trunk on my RT are air/water tight and quick detachable, but the panniers are shaped differently. I can get a FF helmet in mine, two in the trunk, but a laptop isn't going in the panniers, where as on a HD, it will.
It will work just fine. I am heading to eureka springs for a few days. I don’t over pack. The fairing is a good idea as buffeting can get to you on a long ride. I don’t know if the bags are waterproof. I put things in 1 gallon bags anyhow. Consider having Sargent work on your other seat. On another bike they rebuilt my stock seat for my me the way I wanted it and the price was reasonable
Sargents does good work had them rework a triumph seat years ago. It's an old habit to put things inside plastic bags. Its a holdover from my leather saddlebag days
Hi barry. That is the stock gel cost finish. They also do color match psint but i dont know what that costs. It comes with the 5 inch windshield. I changed mine to an oem 96 to 13 street glide 4.5 inch unit. Much better quality imho. I also have a5.5 memphis shades light smoke unit i have used . i hope this helps . thanks for watching!
@@randytbird6548 I just ordered one from vector fairings. Haven't fit it yet...but looks like it was made in the same exact factory as yours. I also got the one with no speakers and it has the small glove box. Same exact piece of stainless on the front of the glove box too. I have a feeling these are not made in America but they are awesome!
@@randytbird6548 I should have clarified...I received it yesterday and opened the box...just haven't mounted it yet. I'm sending mine for paint match also.
@@bignorth1000 cool! It wont be hard to mount i would put better fasteners than the button head stock ones. They strip out too easy. I used allen head bolts . the same bolts as the muffler bolts
Any hike can be a touring bike. By cousin rides his Sportster coast to coast every year. I've had a heritage and now a road glide and speaking from experience the heritage makes a fine touring bike. The touring frame is a little better for it but the heritage isn't far behind it.
