Can a Human Replace a Vacuum Pump in a Vacuum Chamber? How Low of a Pressure Can a Human Make?

In this video I replace the vacuum pump for my vacuum chamber with just my mouth and lungs in order to see how low of a pressure a human is capable of achieving with just the mouth and lungs. Since we use vacuum suction all the time in sucking liquids into straws I have been curious just how low of a pressure that I could achieve. So I measured it with my vacuum gauge. I was quite surprised by the results!

I have a question and you should try this. What would happen if you put dry ice with some water in the vacuume chamber cause normally in a sealed container it expands and eventually explodes but how would that work in a vacuume chamber if all the air is being sucked out? Would the chamber never create a suction since it's constantly trying to create pressure and then at the same time is trying to suck out the pressure or what? Could you do a video on this please.

What you need is a one way check valve to maintain the vacuum without sucking your tongue back down the tube. It will measure what you can pull without losing the volume while you are pulling, just a thought. Love your channel.

I've always wondered if it is possible to remove air bubble from say silicone or resin just by manually sucking the air out. Not sure about inhaling the fumes but would it be possible say just 100ml of the resin in volume in a 500ml bottle maybe?

Why didn't you use a one-way valve on the end of the tube so that you didn't have to keep closing the thing with your hand when you needed to take a break? I think it's easier to suck air out of something when you don't have to worry about maintaining the seal/accidentally letting air in. I'm guessing you would have been able to get more air out of your chamber that way.

I believe you need an accumulator peice like a small cup to suck from so you can use more mouth contact for your seal and I believe it would be easier to pull vacuum from a larger peice, like you get more of the air to grab and pull if you will

First, LOVE your channel! Second, we know that a cellphone can receive a signal inside a vacuum. So would you be able to use a wireless mic to record inside a vacuum? Both with the mic set inside and then suspended in the vacuum. I know that the sound doesn't have that medium to travel through but my question for this experiment is this, would the sound vibrating on the outside of the vacuum be enough to travel to the mic??
