Listen, he used to look handsome and young, but planning a whole ass world conquest conspiracy while wrangling Orin will take a few years off your lifespan.
I still find it to be the ultimate irony that every method of strengthening your tadpole is from trying to get rid of it, besides the emperor's little gift that is
Something you can do with cull the weak and a dead body is throw it, and since it does damage to the dead body that has 0 hp, it lets out a little blast of psychic damage
So, I tested the assertion about the parasites, that you get more as a reward from Minthara when you don't kill Gut or Ragzlin. In my playthrough, I went to the Goblin Camp, straight to Minthara, talked to her, send her to the grove, long rested and raided the grove. I didn't talk to Gut or Dror. I only got one parasite after the raid was done and one more after spending the night with her, just as you. So fighting the leaders (especially Dror) was not in vain.
As per usual fantastic video, an absolute gem one might say. One major thing though! In future runs, if you have heavy armour proficiency make sure that as soon as you go to the mountain pass, you go to that undead fight. It's really scary yes but that's not the point, chug an invisibility potion and loot the bodies in turn based for safety (last run I did which wasn't on the LATEST version but I'd be SHOCKED if this was changed, looting doesn't break invis). The bodies have basic plate armour, which while is minor, we all know the insanity that can come from stacking "just one more AC." I noticed you had what looked to be normal splint before that and thought I'd mention! Also also, there are elixirs that claim to buff tadpoles. I have absolutely no clue what they do, but might be worth checking out! Finally, you should probably try to rush upping your spell save DC ASAP! As illithid abilities scale with it, but they scale with *the DC*, NOT the stat, meaning that magic items that buff your spell save dc can get ungodly. Just imagine a DC ~24-25 black hole being thrown around every turn, followed by other abilities of the same level. Also I lied, there's more, I'm thinking of these as I write the comment and am FAR too lazy to go back and change my wording: This one's way later but a thought I thought I should share nonetheless, the displacer beast form doesn't take up your concentration slot, it's basically like a wildshape iirc. Do with that information what you will.
I set up Astarion partly as a Gloomstalker (also as a Thief) and also with Concentrated Blast. This way he can concentrate on Hunter’s Mark (bonus action) and cast Concentrated Blast in the same turn if needed. You could also set up a Warlock to use Hex for the concentration, which is also a bonus action. A War Domain cleric could use Divine Favour in a similar fashion, and there are probably other combos I’m not aware of 😸
One of the few channels i actually liked and subscribed when asked to... REALLY love the runs and you inspired me to do some more challenging runs myself!
I feel like adding Bard to the build could be great. You’d be making the most of some of those bardic items and have an extra short rest which would be great for many of those tadpole ability’s
What I like to do with Gehk is sneak up behind him and drop a Sussur Bloom in his pocket. No counterspells or zombies. Also you know those two levers on the platform overlooking the Nere fight? If you stand up there, take potshots at the enemies below, and then back up before ending your turn, nobody can hit you. Oh, and if you jump back up to the stairs that lead to the forge, Grym will just stand around unable to reach you, and you can use Minor Illusion to draw him into the center of the room and hit the lever with a ranged attack.
You dont need perilous stakes to find out which one is the real Ethel. She is always the first one in the turn order because she has a buff that gives her a bonus to initiative while the clones do not. You just hover your mouse over the first one to highlight the real Ethel. It also doesnt help her case that she always starts the fight in the same position (top near the entrance)
Glad you had a good time. I prefer being in a party. The social interactions and the talking to the other party members is just too entertaining for me to pass up.
I think that could be cool but I'm really bad at not playing singleplayer haha, I even started up a run with Pheeon and Player_5 but our scheduling is terrible
Hmm can’t help but wonder if I’m act 1 you could raid the Druid grove for the reward of parasites and then kills the goblin leaders for a total of 6 mind flayer parasites
Hello truant if you want to have the difficulty of honor with the freedom of tactician if you download bg3 mod manager and move the honor mod which is pre added to the manager at download you you most likely(not sure if I works with out other mods) you can fight bosses with their legendary actions
How far after the Druid grove do you have to get to get the 3 worms? I just sided against the tieflings for the first time a couple hours ago and minthara only gave me 1 worm at camp even though all 3 leaders were alive
I like your premise, but neither karmic dice nor the opposite maje the dice rolling more authentic. That's the trouble with RNG, it'll never fully replicate dice rolling.
And thats why honor mode is the only. Mode that counts lol so many base rule set changes tac and lower is only for new players to get a basic understanding@the_truant
Have u pirated the game or do u just not play on the current patch lol? They patched Perilous Stakes like 3 months ago, so that u can't actually hit enemys with it anymore.
One critism is that you don''t simply just make laezel jump then dash away in the first fight with the imps. Laezel is useful because if you went high-elf or half-high elf for minor illusion, after the first fight with the two tieflings, you can lure laezel over to either the goblins at the grove hollow or the thieves at the ruin all without her joining your party. Then again, I am a freak that has literally 1000 hours in this game and had hyper optimized everything for solo play.
@@moonlight2870 There was some music near the start of the video around the druids Grove bit that was rather distracting. Thank fully it was not through the entire video.
