Hey Justin! I really enjoy your videos. I like that they aren't scripted and you come across as 'just one of the guys'. I've learned some great tips from your videos. The only suggestion i have is that you try and edit them down to about 20 min or less if possible. The wizmaker looks cool...I'm going to take a closer look at that device for sure. Cheers and good luck growing your channel.

Thanks fabiollo! Yea it’s hard to get enough info in there and get it down. The goal is always 10min and man I rarely ever can hit it!

While I don't think I'll ever have a use for something like this it is very cool. Thanks for sharing! I'm not sure how feasible it would be but the butterfly would look awesome if the unfilled parts were brown and the shapes you made were blues.

Yea I was more stocked I was actually able to produce it, if I had more material I could obviously experiment more to get a bigger range of colors and make something intricate.

I will be receiving my review unit today. I have a lasermatic 10 that allows for diode frequency adjustment to color steel. it will be a neat comparison. I also have a MOPA Fiber that will be an interesting comparison for color on steel. I have air assist on all my lasers via a shop air compressor, so i will tie it into my air line for air assist. I do wish an air pump was standard equipment with the wizmaker. if you ever have any questions, feel free to ask. i have 2 fibers, UV galvo, co2 galvo, 2 co2 gantries, and a few diodes. thanks for the review video!

What air pressure were you running for the thick cut attempts? i work with alot of thin metal with the fiber lasers and running air across the metal with air assist helps to minimize the chance of warping.
@BitnerBuilt
@BitnerBuilt 11 месяцев назад
The small pump I have it maxes out at 30l/m so had it at max for the 19mm material

Cool thanks for the offer. I’m actually producing 10 marketing videos (non RU-vid) for wizmaker over the next two months so might take you up on that. Yea being able to adjust diode frequency and the fibers should be able to make nice colorings!

In knife making they will put the blade into an oven to temper the metal. The temp will determine the color. Also, there is a prosses called hot bluing for metal parts like screws for example. Which is doing the same thing. This is a different prosses than a laser but it's the heat in all these cases is what is causing the color change. Hope this helps. Stay awesome.

in the laser world, you hear it called annealing quite often. when, as you stated, its tempering. i do some blacksmithing and this initially frustrated me, so i gave in and just went with it. :)

Does the wizmaker also cut out the metal business csrds?
@BitnerBuilt
@BitnerBuilt Год назад
it can cut stainless steel that's .05mm thick but most just buy the business card blanks off amazon for $0.07 each in a pack of 550 (im sure there are big bulk discount places too) here's a link to the multi color pack amzn.to/44drmap and here's black ones that look cool amzn.to/3PriHNA

Your business card times were radically different because the QR code was highly detailed and the small section of the saw blade was smaller and simpler. You werent comparing apples to apples. You have to consider this in all comparisons.
@BitnerBuilt
@BitnerBuilt Год назад
You are absolutely right that I didn’t do it apples to apples, so I just went down after reading this and sat at light burn, added in a QR code up in the corner and ran my preview test and it says that it would be two minutes 48 seconds. I have swapped out the QR code in that one for a sawblade coming off the side, which was a little off position anyway. My engraving speed on this is 15,000 at 50% power one pass.that sawblade was a solid burn for a bigger area than the qr (if it had fit)
