when you do tweaking to lower the cost after doing the tweaking to a side you should delete the other side and copy the tweaked one so the structure remains symmetrical
Really love how intimidating his name is for this game. Like imagine it's your first time playing, so you check the leaderboards and see "Real Civil Engineer" 😅
It would be hilarious if one of the top players from Poly Bridge 2 used the name _Fake Civil Engineer_ in Poly Bridge 3 and just went through and beat RCE by just a few dollars on each and every level.
Honestly I'm really amazed by your courage just doing these little acapella songs. I don't know many people that bring up the confidence to do that and take it with humor, and actually I think the lack of embarrasement makes you perform better and I that makes me really enjoy them tbh
I wouldn't really call it courage. Being able to laugh at yourself is an important part of life. People who can't laugh at themselves are usually miserable saps who can only laugh at other peoples misfortune, and find genuinely funny stuff not that funny.
Courage means to fight through your fear and do something despite how dangerous/scary it is. Not exactly the case when singing a song in a video. Matt's becoming a better performer though, both in singing and lyrics.
If you look past the fact that they are very unrefined, there are usually gems hidden in there. Like half the reason i watch his polybridge videos is because of the bangers, haha.
as a fun fact about pb3... Roads seem to be more costly in this game compared to others. Also weight is now based on the length and material used instead of just being based off of how many joints/nodes you have unlike in previous games.
For hydraulics, remember the rule if you attach the hydraulics closer to the fulcrum of your lever(bridge component), you’ll gain more travel of the lever while simultaneously reducing the length (cost) of the hydraulics. It’s a lot like the muscles in the human arm - they usually attach short on the bone to make a large arm movement with a small muscle.
I dated an engineer once, and at the beginning the relationship was built on a strong foundation. After I while I decided I wanted to move on because she was so attached to me all the time. My stress was so high I almost couldn't bear it. I think she knew what was going to happen, and I saw her muscles tense up to brace for the bad news. We both felt the suspense hanging in the air, and I finally told her that her constant presence was just a bridge too far for me and I'd reached my breaking point. I had to do it for my sake, but I know I gave her truss issues for a long time after that. Everything ended up alright though, because she's now in a happy poly relationship with two architects!
In the Netherlands there is this old TV show about two neighbours who fix things and their names are Mat and Pat. The TV show is called Buurman en Buurman (Buurman meaning neighbour)
How is it even the slightest bit unexpected that matt would like nice bridges? His love for bridges is literally most of what this channel is built upon
As a musician, I personally prefer the music right up front. It also acts as intro. However, from a video content point, you can get more content in if it's done as a montage. I don't know which would be the more popular choice though.
Ah the classic tale of bridge crossed lovers. An engineer meets that special someone, but he realizes they’re an architect. So in despair they burn their bridges. Tragic.
he already did, the video's been out since yesterday, and with tyler's pacing RCE is going to flip his lid when he realizes the next few records are unbeatable for those who don't know, the tyler in question is the guy from the Aliensrock youtube channel
Poly Bridge 2 levels also had a good amount of detail, and you can spin the camera around just like how you can in this game, so calling it a bad looking game is a bit harsh. There are a lot of people who hate the new art, but imo they are just two different styles that both got a healthy dose of love and look pretty neat imo.
I have noticed that I hadn’t watched your videos in a long long time, but now the polybridge content is back I’m watching (and loving) your videos again
2:19 - It's a beautiful day outside. Birds are singing, flowers are blooming... On days like this... kids like you... S H O U L D B E B U R N I N G I N H E L L
Very emotional montage song! Romeo and Juliet? Pppft, old news! Make way for the new classic love tragedy: "The Engineer and the Architect"! You asked if we prefer intro songs or montage songs, and I'm not sure tbh. They are lovely either way! ^^
