I bet that whatever standard materialists could come up with to conclude the presence of a mind in AI could be applied to the cosmos to conclude that a mind created the cosmos, and that the materialist would then be forced to either abandon the conclusion that AI has a mind or to accept the conclusion that there’s a mind who created the cosmos.

Whether or not it actually has consciousness or a first-person perspective likely does not matter. The thing to consider is whether AI will succeed in appearing to have the consciousness to influence people... and I think it already is proved it is advanced enough to do that. Goals and motivations may be a program, but that will not make them powerless.

What defines a 1st person? Is there any objective answer to it?

AI can have, and does have consciousness, but of a different type. What I don’t think it can achieve is an ‘ego consciousness’ the ability to say: I AM Only human beings can say that.

I've listened to WLC for years and I am perplexed at his ability to "dodge" questions and constantly go down "rabbit holes" so whoever is trying to follow him usually falls asleep or forgets what the original question was because he really knows how to do this whole "circle of confusion" that all Calvinists do in order to keep you asking, "what is the point?" Do you want the end of religion? You can have what you say you want. To discover God you need to understand God exists. Atheists don't search for God because they believe God doesn’t exist. ¿Why would you search for something you think it doesn't exist? It doesn't make sense. To discover God is the greatest achievement and experience of all time. You can discover God thinking rationally observing and feeling reality. ¿Was the universe created from an eternal intelligent entity? ¿Did God decide to create the universe? For atheists all reality is caused. Atheism is false. Reality is not how atheists say it is. To discover God you have to understand it is better for you if God exists because for atheists life lacks an ultimate purpose and death is terrifying. To discover God you have to understand reality is eternal because from nothing can not be created something. Nothing is absence of existence. Nothing is what innocent and vulnerable children understand by nothing. Something minus something is nothing. Nothing is what you get explaining to deaf ears. Nothing is what you receive when you give to ungrateful people. Nothing is always nothing. Something always existed. Either the universe is eternal or God is eternal. Either what has a beginning of existence is eternal or what created what has a beginning of existence is eternal. You choose your life, you choose your destiny, you choose which is the truth. I think to die is to resurrect to know all, and that's our perfect eternal hell and heaven. When the brain dies causes the mind to transform to know all the information. I think when we die we keep living all of God's lives to have a perfect existence. Atheists have to live to end religion. What do atheists live for? I need to rest. Poetry is free. Poetry can be prohibited. My poetry is censored. God is necessary and it is important to live with knowledge to survive. The truth is atheism is a logical fallacy that assumes God is the religious idea of the creator of the creation to conclude wrongly no creator exists because a particular idea of God doesn’t exist. When you abandon atheism you would feel incredibly better, like if you were eternal and your life mattered. Thank you.

Goodness gracious, Bill. Nobody ever said there was somebody there. AI is not called a "large language model" for nothing. It's a voluble information retrieval system that includes good grammar and composition. Don't be intimidated by it to the point where you feel motivated to reassure the faithful. But maybe you feel threatened by something else - young people have instant global communication and access to vast amounts of information right on their phones. Most of that information is inconceivable in a biblical context. Does that bother you?
