Just do your homework and figure out the difference between a quad set up for XC and MX before spending money. Rocket Ron or Hygear suspension can help with suspension for your stock shocks. Way too much info to say here.
The shock springs control the ride height. The standard shock springs make it ride much higher. The XC shocks make the quad ride lower and improve handling, so you can go much faster down the trails. Thats why every DS with the XC package rides lower, and every pro level XC quad you see at the races is sitting lower than any stock quad.
