Thanks guys for all the great comments. I put it back together with all new parts that were worn and it’s works perfect. Very happy. Trying to get the side of the transmission case back on can be a pain but I leaned the bike over a little bit a gravity helped me out. Good luck!
Good video thanks for your help, nice to know that slap when it goes into gear is just that upper spring loaded detent shaft and not something else, dam sounds like that was bringing down the house and its nothing to worry about, great stuff...
Thanks for the video, I just got a 2017 xxc 1000r with shifting issues and its not the linkage or the 1 way so I guess Ill dig into the trans. Happy you can replace parts without pulling the engine and trans out!
I already took mine out and rebuilt it. But gonna pull cover like this soon cause high gear wont stay locked in but low works fine. Going in this way this time to see if can get by
Before i got a new xxc gearbox for my xmr, i been in that gearbox about 5 times. I had the shift spring assist break 3 times.. Since then I'm very careful with how I shift the machine. So far so good. It also doesnt help that about 90% of these machines come from the factory with the linkages way out of adjustment.
I just bought a 2013 CanAm Commander LTD with only 811 miles on it. If you press the accelerator too quickly it sounds like a chain is slipping. But now I think I better understand the issue if my model has the same basic transmission design.
I have a 2022 450 Outlander and took it in some mucky mud at that time the RPMs were HIGH just going 10mph so I parked it. well the CVT was filled with mud, so I cleaned it out and Clutch, deep clean. one way was baring was barely moving but the when I put it in gear it grinds then wants to go by its self Normal RPMs.. So... I bought a new clutch and one way baring thinking it was that. Nope.. any ideas? No mud or water got into air filter whatsoever. I still have factory warranty but I know clutches are not covered so I fixed that first. I do not rip up my toy this is the FIRST time i got in mud water over the CVT case ever. Since the wheels engage with out throttle I'm thinking possible throttle body area? or Secondary clutch gears?
