what does this message mean. it's just a warning to let you know around 12k miles your transmission needs to be serviced. The light will stay on until serviced
Thank you so much for this video, I ride my Ryker 600 everyday and once it hit 9.4K miles that message popped up and I freaked out! Taking it to my local Can Am shop to get it serviced this week.
I am still riding mine and its at 10k. They say 12k is the preceivable limit. Not gonna wait that long just waiting til winter 🤣 (or in GA thats January). Thank you so much for watching.🥰
End up spending about 1200 in maintenance fee . Most of it was labor . That’s with tier 1 and tier 2 service . Maintenance light back on at 24,000 miles. Did my own oil change and changed intake gasket out myself. Next I’ll change my spark plugs and give it a tuneup. Then I’ll take it to the shop to reset code for $90. I’ll come out cheaper that way . Save around 1000 . Do it ya self . 😃. Vroom 🏍 💨
Yep. It showed up on mine sooner. The guys at the shop asked if my bike was riding differently, and I told them no. They said,'You possibly have more riding time before you have to bring it in'. I was glad to hear that because just like you, this is prime riding season. I kept it on the road a little longer. I took her in during winter. 😆
I got that message about 5 miles from home coming from a huntsville, al trip and I have almost 10k miles on my 20 ryker 900, I think that major service is $500 here in MS....
Yes I am ignoring it until 12k or it starts riding funny. My shop told me it is just a haunting reminder to not miss that 12k service. I haven't been riding my bike as much given a recent event in my life. I have to tell you if I were riding like before I would have taken it in to get the belt serviced the moment the light came on.
Oh wow. Well I have to tell you at some point a year into having my bike the shop had to do an entire electrical harness replacement. I was riding (on the expressway) and everything went dark. It was terrifying. I hope your bike is still under warranty 😳
Did you ever figure out why this happened or how to fix it? My battery cables were loose and when I tightened them I got this message and only have 1000 miles on my 2020 ryker Rally
