Martin, too bad you don't drive here in the east coast of the US. I'd like to see you drive your insane way on our Dragon with 313 curves in 11 miles. I'll be running it in a few months when it get's a tad warmer.
Pat, this is exactly what CanAm world is about. There is a place for everyone. You want fun and easy riding.. Ryker is great. You need more powerful tool. F3... you want to ride super luxury RT is there... plus you always can adjust any model to your fit... well this is CanAm world 😎😎😎
I’m getting the Ryker Rally because I have had a total knee replacement and I want to go on the thousands of kilometres of gravel and dirt roads round here. I have my motorbikes for the road, but I don’t trust my knee off road.
SUPER!!!! enjoy it and be safe out there... look for twisty and little bit "gravel" kind of roads when you will be familiar with the bike... you will love it there!!!! be safe. martin
Hi Peter, yes you are right. It was not and this Ryker was very first ryker in europe and nobody was aware aboutb restrictions in respect to emmisions..
Rob, when i bought TheBeast, i cannot say i have had the money to buy it. I went thru loan, some sacrifice and sold my elder z4. I know i know, there are different levels of "cannot" afford, but its always about trying your best to achieve your dreams. At the end, this was one of the best decisions of my life 😉😉😉
Nice video Martin. My first Can Am was a Ryker 600 and I had it for a year and drove almost 10.000km with it. Because I like long trips I switched to a Spyder F3 which sits more comfortable. I liked the Ryker a lot, it’s more agile than a Spyder. The Spyder is more comfortable as I mentioned earlier. A minus point of the F3 is it’s rear suspension. It’s too soft and so I will switch it with a Fox suspension. Have a nice day 👍
Yup, all true Mike. Also switching the swaybar is more noticable on Spyder than on Ryker and i think is a lot needed, not only the rear shock. www.martinthevlogger.com/canam-spyder-f3-st-rs-gs-swaybars-springs-suspension
Nice Video! I just went through this battle with F3-S or Ryker. I am a new Can-Am rider, coming from an Yamaha R6 sportbike. After some discussion, watching RU-vid videos, and some test rides. I went with the F3-S Daytona Edition. I like cruise control, power, and shifting.
Welcome to this world of cool 3wheelers. Daytona has great color combination. Trust me or not. I did ton of videos and newer had the option to test the Sport button. :(((( curious to see what it can do on road like this one in video
Just did similar. Found a 2015 f3-s posted used w 4800miles on it, the day I was heading out to get the ryker... so glad with my decision. I can’t imagine not having the fun of shifting. This is the first bike I have ever rode. Both would have been cool for me but no way I could go automatic having now experienced the f3-s sm6.
The reason I bought the F3s (2020) instead of the Ryker was because of the bigger engine and power output plus being in a wheelchair you still have the option of changing gears manually, I didn't really want a fully automatic. Good comparison between the two Trikes. Have already changed the rear shock as the standard was like a Pogo Stick (Crap) Seen your video with the sneak peek of the new graphics should look good.
Hehehe, love the wording - pogo stick :)))) and yeah, for me the deal breaker is gear changing option... hope new F3 will keep this, as they already throw away the manual.... 😔😔😔
Great comparison. I have owned a 2014 RT, 2015 F3S and just picked up a 2021 Ryker 900 Rally. I don’t own the Spyders anymore and got the Ryker based on price. My favorite was the F3S as well if price wasn’t a factor. The Ryker is very close to the F3S in the fun factor zone and the money you save is worth considering, especially if you are using this as a second or third toy. Very good video. The way you passed on some of those turns gave me a pucker sensation though😋😋.
Thank you Scott for nice words about the review. I tottalywgot your point and yes, R.R. is a good fun toy specially if you have few more in garage...🤘🤘🤘
I’m looking to buy, small commute and some long. The question is the price difference, a tuner and minor mods on the Ryker could put you much closer to the spyder for a few hundred dollars extra.
You can be faster with Ryker that is unlocked. This were the EU versions and i was not told they are Emmisions locked. So PedalBox or Pedal Commander, Ryker US version 900, or unlocked EU and yes.. and for handling swaybar kit and maybe shocks upgrade and you will be close.... but downshifting is for me a fun factor and... well i would miss it
@@MartinTheVlogger thank you for the reply! I do agree with you on the shifting. I also want something my wife can jump on and just ride. The price difference between the two is over half the price. I think for a beginner like ourselves we would start with the Ryker and move up. Happy riding! Much love from Texas.
Ok, great video and comparison! I already own 2 can am outlanders, an XT and an XMR, both have Silverback tires, so not great for street driving, but basically the same transmission as the Ryker, but I also love shifting but had to get rid of my Harley's due to too many A-holes that cant drive. Long story short tho, my last accident actually corrected my ingrown toenail on my foot! So cant complain too much! 😂😂😂
This going to be my first time on any motorbike. I'm thinking about getting that Ryker 900.. awesome video even though you made me a little nervous by how fast you were going.. any tips? I'm going to the class next month before I buy.
Hi buddy. 5 years ago, when i bought TheBeast i was in your shoes. I remember my first rYde around the block. I wanted to return the bike because it was so powerful. And look at me now :)))) my advice?just Enjoy it & always wear proper helmet. Having 3 wheels its huge benefit. If something goes wrong, there are many security features you can relly on. Have a look on this video maybe. I dont know what i was realy saying, but it should be about rYding ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WBUmmt6ngms.html Anytime you have any question, feel free to ask 😉😉😉😉
Dynojet have released the below 50mph torque limiter unlock now.. They emailed me to let me know yesterday... Finally we can get 100% throttle from 0 to 50 instead of 30%....
I love my F3s, but because Ryker is lighter, you can hit the corners more easilly. On other hand i am missing bit of power, but in US, there is different engine map on Ryker, fue to emmisions, so US Rykers are faster. In general, i love the feeling of rYding these kind of bikes
Unfortunately i have found out that in EU they are using different engine map due to emissions. Anyway i dont think it would be faster with my weight because 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
you will be super happy with your call. I have learned that Ryker in EU is slower than Ryker in US due to Emission restrictions, so you also will have more power. :)
I already habe my baby Rickie he is so wonderful to ride being a women small and a pilipina from philippinen 🇵🇭 i have raise my flag. I recommend 1000 percent so so good 😊 to have a ryker Rally edition thanks from my loving husband so blessed. And thank you for tips👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
If you know your bYke, if you see the whole curve - you cannot compare view that camera gives you, compared to my view.. trust me, its more safe than giving this bYke to not skilled dude to use on the straight line 🤘🤘🤘🤘
@@MartinTheVlogger I appreciate your reply. It seems you are a gentlemen. Rare are the persons who accepts criticism or someone’s else different opinion.
@@Azantys why should i be pissed about your comment? Its valid comment Sir and many times ppl think they are saying "negative" things and they piss me off.. true is, of course not all of them are "correct" but i learn from them. I know i have to be a bit more careful when rYding around and recording. Last time one guy told me. Martin i dont like when you record "about" and "instalation" videos in one.. i said... hmm valid point... ever dince then i divide those two types of videos.. criticism??? Yeah maybe.. but valid point. Have an awesome weekend 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
@@MartinTheVlogger Martin, many people can’t see but the empty half of a cup. They put thumbs down on some wonderful videos ( musics or Instructional ..). It takes time and energy to make those videos. They rather go and make their own video instead of negatively criticizing a video. I learned from your videos and they are nice. A great weekend to you from Canada !
Looks like Bratislava has changed big time since I've been there having Can Am dealers. Lol Last time was late 80's early 90's when it was still czeskoslovensko. Loved it there and love my Can Am. Thanks for the vids Martin.
Uffff... 80s-90s... maaan, downtown near Danube river its soo different with skyscrapers etc... and these days we have a new mayor and we are also getting finally more trees and other nice things to the city. Its quite a nice place to be 😉😉😉
Great video. I have owned a Spyder F3S before and loved it. Needed a little more power. I was debating of a Ryker Rally or a Spyder. Cheap vs more power🤔. I will see next year.
Scott, if you are from US, Ryker has different ECU map and its more powerful than on video. Unfortunatelly i have learned this couple of months after this video, so.... just a little correction for you for the future 😉😉😉
Greg, i think the reason for that is, that it is EU aprooved warning probably. If i would write "dlhy kamion" i think only us would understand. And one tiny note - Slovakian 😉 Slovenia is also beautiful country but little bit further South. Have an awesome day 😉😉😉😉
