For a standard roof and cage you might want to add more holes to the front bracket to lower it half way. And if your short you could use a rod coupling to extend the bolt and use washers and a piece of pipe that fits over the rod coupling
the seating position in the x3 is perfect , they really nail it by grabbing tips from sport cars manufactures and implemented the proper way a seat should be install in a high performance vehicle. i feel that people that hate the seating position are the guys that drive the rzr because im a skinny dude and i fit like the car was made to my height and weight no cap !!!!
It is good, for me just needed to be lowered cause of the roof but overall I really like how it comes from the factory, seating definitely is a personal thing and what works for some just does not work for others.
Hi thank you for the video it's much appreciated I'm 66 and need all the room I could get. Is it possible to remove the tube/spacer in the back and not cut anything, drop the seat down then put the tube on top?
@@wernergarage7078 Well i got mine home and dropped the front 2 bolts down. Lost about 3 inches of legroom. The high position in the front seems best for legroom. Im going to try removing the rear spacer and see if its any better.
@@crookedpigsbbq I was referring to my seat mod. Since that is the video you commented on. Sorry for the misunderstanding, if you lower the back position that give the most leg room, it's an easy mod and it will allow you to lower the front and not loose the legroom.
Donnie Genton 64.5" tall to the top of the roof, I'm running 15" ride height with 32" tires, a stock car with 30" tires and factory roof should still be under 6' with out an issue, they have a much lower profile than a RZR.
That's a good way to do it. I decided to cut them proportionately as I wanted adjustability for different drivers but the washer method can really customize it to the specific driver
If you're short like me, you should do the opposite. Keep front seat on high position and add 1/2" to spacer. Can the bolts be replaced for longer ones? They are probably welded into place. Bolt length would be the challenge for short people.
Yeah so I just took the front nut and bolt off my Can-Am 2020 maverick X.3 RC and I’m in a wheelchair that’s the only reason I’m leaving a comment. And it’s not that simple as you state the tension when I push down on the seat in front to try to get it to those lower holes feels like I should loosen something in the back I’m no pro I don’t have a Can-Am Chiltons book But I think you left something out about adjusting the seat or I am inept
Hi JB, you will need to loosen the 2 rear nuts to remove the tension. Sorry that the video did not clarify that. There are to silver aluminum spacers that sit under the rear seat mount. In the video I cut those down to better adjust the seat to my needs.
