removing corruption from Malaysia is like splitting atom. it takes tremendous power & control environment for safety at same time. it is bitter medication for next few years for all Malaysian now before getting better.
I love how you can't actually refute Mahathir's point about Anwar's corrupt use of the anti-corruption apparatus to pursue political detractors. It just proves his point.
Learn more abt politics.. It's nobel of u to stick to ur principle.. But without power.. That would be useless.. Power comes first.. Then rests would be possible..

@@frozenflava nice lie. Chinese colonial settlers cannot enact a racist ethnostate without racists policies whether written or in silence. And malaysia secular laws allow for one to practice their faith freely without Chinese racism.
@@user-ed9so2rb4k of course when pap leaders are given position to companies receiving government projects. Also nepotism, racism, and general theft. All these are above board of course.
The clear answer is no. Najib been granted pardon and early release from prison. Malaysia is clearly sending a signal to all politician to be bold and take part in corruption. You will be pardon.
Agreed those malaysians politicians must dip their hands to steal state's money because they knew they will be free as most procutors are same leopards.
The way I see it Najib has a lot of influence. Balancing the fight against corruption and reviving the economy while maintaining social harmony is tough, but efforts are being made. He's not fully pardoned and it was his jail term was reduced from 12 to 6 years and his fine from RM210 million to RM50 million. He still faces ongoing court cases, which could extend his time. He’s currently 71.
It's really disheartening to see when leaders with questionable records remain in power despite promises of change. But let's not pretend, it's Anwar's choice that we have a coalition government with BN which consists of corrupted and kleptocratic leaders. The reality is coalition governments or compromises may lead to alliances that seem contradictory or unsatisfactory to certain voters. Only in Malaysia, people would still vote for leaders that have incompetent track record, riddled with corruption cases and only pander to race/ religion rhetoric all day long. After all, this is democracy. The power is always in our hands, and like it or not, we are responsible in causing this situation where we have corrupted leaders remaining on top forever.
Mr R Ndeswaran should note that even in this comment section, just talking about the prevalence of corruption in Malaysia is frowned upon. It is quickly deleted and the writer warned of causing discomfort to the community. One wonders why then even have this documentary made???! The problem is not catching the corrupted people in Malaysia it is housing them. They will need prison facilities that can house up to 20 million people.
PMX has done a great job to battle corruption. TPM case is NDAA meaning it is just postpone as PH need UMNO to stay in power. That is the reality of our current politic. Fighting corruption and mantaining power is essential unless you want Bersatu and Pas to rule this country because government is not determine by people but party unless we follow presidential system.

I agree hundred percent he dare not touch his DPM 47 Cases dismissed just like that he wants to eradicate corruption and in Malaysia so far only Najib have been convicted the rest so far nothing have happened.
You surely are naive to the actual Malaysian politics. No lad, his DPM SAVED MALAYSIA!!! You take corruption and cases on face value but blind to whatever is happening. It is a necessary sacrifice which is what we say ... "sacrifice a few trees so we can save the entire forest." His dpm actions actually enable PMx to execute into far far bigger corruptions and most important stop future corruptions where Malaysia's debt had ballooned to 1.5 trillions. So be thank ful to the DPM .... I am thankful to him for what he did.
I hope Mahathir will write a book to guide the poor Malays on how to make their children billionaires. He had such a successful story in raising self made billionaires. Please share your wisdom Tun 🙏
Don't forget all the BN component parties, and god knows who else who got "titles" ... the rot cuts across the social strata, not a race issue. We went all in with rent seeking and patronage political economy.
What’s the point of going after small fries? Big ones are never convicted after playing the court room dramas. Taxpayers could only watch in awe…😮 Tell the kids, enter politics, make lots of money by corruption, everything will be ok.?
@@ktng3176 why? Daim, mirzan and mokhsani and mahathir are not big fish ah? U so clever, why don't u do the investigation and provide the proof within 2 months?
The tragedy is that mega wealthy business tycoons who have amassed incredible amounts of money and assets due to political connections, are still pursuing even more wealth at the expense of the vast majority of businesses. Greed has no limits. 🤬
The worst is the land transfer ministry officer wanting a cut for every piece of property transaction. Even council officer , police all waiting and ask for bribe.
He is all talk and he is encouraging it. When he went shaking umno boys' hands when the opposition won u already know he is useless. No need to blame anybody. Please don't point at the chinese , its u people who demand it otherwise nothing moves n we are stuck with interest to be paid n mouth to feed.
He is already all talk since hes in opposition, but some of the malaysians are too blind to see.Its really the end game there for anwar is to become Prime Minister and thats it.
Every Malaysian knows corruption can’t be wiped out in the country. Even killing a person, can just bribe everyone from the police to the judge if you have the money. In Malaysia everything boleh for the right price. If you think this is ridiculous, you are just native.
Anwar is just a snakeoil conman politician. He always like to lie and spin everything he promised. In the end as PM,,he gives contracts and positions to his own cronies and families. so what bullshit is Madani smoking?
Corruption is still very prevalent, especially under the transport ministry, if you have been to Puspakom to do vehicle inspection, they will ask you to go into the room with the director and he will ask how much you willing to pay for the inspection, another time experience it was when a police setup a road block and claim I have violated the traffic rules and told me he can "help me", of course I rejected both of it, so I did my inspection twice and got the saman. No point reporting these types of corruption, the police station will not take the report and even if you did make the report the police will threaten you that "if they found it to be "un-true", they will punish those who smear the polis", but at the end they will still do nothing to investigate it.
How to eliminate corruption when our laws are lenient towards these criminals. We badly needs capital punishments for corruption because is going upwards day by day.
One boy boy was heard suggesting to his father on how to rid Malaysia politicians of corruption. Boy boy whispered into his dad's ear, "why not we pay them millions so that their need to steal millions is no longer needed?"
Singapore model. Pay bureaucrats, ministers and public officials so well that there is no need for them to engage in corruption out of necessity. Out of greed, there is no limit.
The Difference in doing Business in India and China is in the Former the Authorities feel that they are doing you a Favour to make money SO ALL KINDS OF RED TAPE TO MAKE LIFE DIFFICULT and have to pay 'Agents' to get Approvals.Whereas in the LATTER the Authorities come to you to Facilitate the opening of the Business AS THEY FEEL YOU ARE GIVING EMPLOYMENT TO THEIR CITIZENS.This was commented by an Indian Businessman investing in China. The same can be said of Malaysia and Singapore.
As a malaysian, I can tell you right now it is all a show only. Hes a typical politician saying the right thing to gain voters but doesn't have the balls and backbone to do anything. He knows when he does it, everything down the line from top politicians to head of departments all the dominoes will come falling down. That is how bad the corruption is. And he doesn't want to rock the boat.
True, but it is a case now of big fish with little backroom support. If I were Zahid, I would be worried. He is serving a political purpose and this will go away if PH wins the next election and does not need UMNO in a coalition.
Corruption is deep with Malaysians' DNA, I'm not only referring to politicians and government officials, but it is also within all levels of society. Corruption in Malaysia is inclusive of financial bribery, material bribery, racial and ethnic based employment standard in private and public sectors, all types of corruption that gave advantage to the person initiated it and those who are taking it. I don't how corruption can be curbed in this country or any ASEAN countries apart from Brunei and Singapore
never under estimate the evil power of $, it can turn anyone from good to bad instantly. As long as there is shadow on this planet, corruption can happen anywhere anytime. For your infor, Singapore recently charges a minister for corruption. Who said Singapore does not have corruption! Complacency will hurt any country including Singapore, be mindful of this!
Good expose. This is what Malaysia needs. Reform and integrity. This is what our country needs. Praise be with Anwar Ibrahim. He is an old politician and he is making our country great..not like his contemporaries when he was finance minister one time. He is an old and experienced politician.. He can lead us.
Exactly ..if U are a Malaysian..the law applies to you as well. Finally! Someone in this country is doing something for old and educated people like us. Good job Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim
All Malaysian know about the "History of Heavy Corruption in Malaysia" aspecialy we are born here. Hopefully this can change and brighten the future of Malaysia. Pls Stop Corruption. 🙏🙏🏻🙏🏼🙏🏽🙏🏾🙏🏿
How can he fight corruption when his own deputy has a history of corrupt practices? He's just a hypocrite using the anti-corruption agenda to boost his political status.
There's disparity in how corruption cases are handled. The entire might of the police force is brought down to bear against those who received minuscule bribed, while those who embezzled billions are free to jet around the world.
Before trying to fight corruption, PMX has to change his mind set, attitude and the min set and attitude of his cabinet, Civil Servants. They need to lead by example, lead a simple life, remove wastage and luxury, stop using Police Escort, stop wasting money. Buat ini dulu, bila jadi mentri pakai KOT, Tie branded mahal, nak polis ikut, nak PA banyak, lupa macam mana nak pikul beg sendiri. Minda wakil raykat, menteri, PMX perlu tukar dulu
Many are complaining about Zahid's (discharge not amounting to acquittal) DNAA. It's a court decision. The case still can be opened if there are new evidence/s that could implicate Zahid. Malaysians followed the case. Those who follwed would say that the evidence of corruption was too weak for the court to decide that corruption did really take place. Until new evidence is brought before the court, the case is still open for trial. Zahid is not off the hook yet. If anyone out there who has new evidence, please come forward.
Hahaha. A DNAA is abbreviation for get out of jail card for accused politicians. And also means the politicians in power holding the sword of Damocles over their political foes.
@@pakngah3715 Hahaha to you Pak Ngah if you care to go through court cases. Since you made a sweeping statement like that. Go do some research on DNAA cases and you'll find there have been numerous court judgements issuing DNAA verdits NOT involving politicians. Traffic offences are just the tip of the iceberg. Also, Kim Jong Nam murder case involving the public prosecutor and Siti Aisyah and Doan Thi Huong is one of the many not involving JPJ or politicians. Go do some research.

Typical of Malaysian. Very insecure & no confidence. Always have to put others down to make themselves looks good. Last time to Singaporean, now to Indonesian.
Question is how sincere is the present government to mitigate and correct this corruption menace ? The brown envelope for vehicle inspection is still going strong !!!
The case of minister Yeoh's husband involvement in Selangor government procurement, any investigation being carried out? What is the rectification being carried out?

No one in the world can avoid be corrupted in practices because it is in our culture for decades. Yet nothing done for those coming generations through discipline and order in education. A never ending story that last. SMiLE 😀
If DSAI is sincere in eradicating corruption, a reorganization of all public service depts is best. Data & communication between depts must be available to cross-check each other & reduce administration costs. Gate-keepers must be truly clean. Once the cost of public administration is reduced, this cost can be channelled to deserving public servants.
it's been way too ingrained already. will take decades of sincere effort at all government levels to truly clean up. A noble goal but maybe only our grandchildren's generation can see it
Without PMX and his team, Malaysia is a basket of gone case. Dr. Oo is a poor political analyst. His former analysis of this madani government was completely wrong.

The government is so poor due to corruption by former leaders. Salaries are low due to huge corruption by former leaders . What can the new government do ? Furthermore former corrupt leaders are not convicted and these set bad examples for civil servants.
For decades corrupters in 🇲🇾 they smartly defined corruption as " I Helped You, & You Helped Me Syndrome..." Even religious political party has already termed it as a donation...To change people mindset to viewed corruption as najis is very difficult & will take ages...Thanks Madani Government as cleaning up process is underway including flushing out fairy godfather untouchables corrupters...

Corruption sudah sebati in our society. Bukan tak boleh diselesaikan. Just not that easy yet. Throw all corrupcted ones into prison. It will shut down half of Malaysia. We all cuti umum.
In my opinion, these current old leaders have to go away completely...and be replaced with new generations leaders who are currently in their 20's... So when these young adults become leaders probably in the next 20 or 30 years, then probably a fresh new start will happen where leaders 'might' not favour bribery and 'hopefully' lead the nation accordingly by law and constitution.
No one in Malaysia say no to money, Its no more a corruption country, it is a way of life and malaysian need it, take it easy bro, this world is all wayang. Let us live happily and United That all we need. Don't be jealous if some one has more, you good to them they will share, if you catch them both will loose, its all a game.
How I wished and hoped that this more racist PMX will lose his Tambun seat or wherever he stands. Very obvious this guy can’t help the country recover but burdening the people and will increase the country’s debt. Maybe, he can go to Palestine and stand as the next president there.
Corruption and bribe are culture, reduce to none will be impossible. Malaysia isn't that bad, worst in Phillipines yet to exposure. Sum it up, you don't have to corrupt to be in corruption. Best example in the West, corruption through stock market insider info, paid with a corporate consultant tittle after their govt term due etc
