My highest respect to Prof. Tajuddin. I appreciate the perbincangan yang cukup mendalam. One point that i am so agree to Prof is about ustaz. Selalu kalau ada orang kata dia mengkaji islam dengan mendalamnya, my impression is, hmmm orang nie maybe sangat aggressive, they cant tolerate other religion beside their own, they see every other human are dirty. Yes, because during my school time, thats what we heard from ustaz. We need more people like Prof. Tajuddin, to tell the truth meaning of mengkaji agama dengan dalam. We are building a nation, and this nation is the place we feel proud of. ❤

As a local Malaysian Chinese businessman, when the KK Mart incident happened, I convened a board meeting with other directors and decided to dramatically shift our company's business model and policies. Previously, our products focused on the Malay market. Now, we're exporting and targeting the international market. We're gradually relocating our product manufacturing lines outside Malaysia and establishing them in Vietnam and Indonesia. Honestly, I have little confidence in doing business in my own country now, especially since we're being specifically targeted by Malays and amidst the BMF movement. I don't know what will happen next, but we're fortunate to still have options to choose from.

It is an extraordinary interview with a man of highest conscience and I am proud of Prof Tajuddin. I wish there are many like him in our society in every religion. I am born Hindu but I grew up with my muslim and Chinese friends but mostly muslim buddies in 80s. Infact my childhood girlfiend when I was 12 years old is a Malay Muslim.I even grow up reading Quran and Jawi in school though not proficient enough. I am addicted to Malay novels and I scored high in Bahasa Melayu more than even my Malay friends. I love Malay language more than my own Tamil language as I grow up reading and writing Malay. I even had a hobby of writing Sajak in Malay. Those days you don’t see the racial and religion hatred so much like today as now we have social media in our finger tips. This social media is like knife which can be used for good or bad purpose. Now I am in my 50s and I still support my Muslims brothers sisters fight against genocide inflicted on Palestine people. I stand by them wholeheartedly. Hence will I be judged because im Tamil Hindu and because of my skin colour and because I am not a Malay Muslim ? Or will I be treated equal by my Muslim brothers as fellow citizen who has mutual love and admiration for them? We Malays, Chinese and Tamils have thousand years of history together and our culture and language are intertwined. Even our food has so many mix and similarities. We are supposed to treat each other as fellow brothers and protect each other. If we stir racial and religion hatred against each other, we will be divided and the Great Satan from West will easily conquer our country and make us become their slaves. We need leader that unite all the race in Malaysia as one people one nation.

"Is it ok to be sesat?" "Because if you want to go to a place, and you follow somebody, don't you think you'll only know one way?...But if you were sesat you'll probably find ten different ways" Damn that's a perspective I've never heard before......arguably the ones who are just single-mindedly following one/few person with the same belief/ideology are more sesat than the ones who do not follow one single belief/ideology......i.e. the ones who actively ask questions and find solutions to problems while drawing from a wider perspective

Firstly, it's the perspective and personal views from Prof Tajuddin on those topics. There were probably some good views and some were not so accurate, despite claiming as a well read person. He's an architect for god's sake. In Islam, there's an "adab" in seeking knowledge which is from a teacher, an expert on a certain topic, not just by picking up a book and reading and interpreting it to your own liking. I would be happier if he could just speak about architecture, which is his expertise, rather than talking on Islamic issues to the public..imho.

Jakim has weaponised " halal " certification. They can easily shut a food factory by just accusing it of violating halal processes. When asked for evidence, after several months, there was none. Tens of millions lost just because of hearsays. In the end, non muslim halal factories had to hire malay chairman just to handle this issue.

Sadly true. Malaysia needs to urgently remove Islam from the state. Put an end to Islamic institutions and Islam's clerics in affairs of the state.

My salute to Prof Tajuddin for his unwavering courage to speaking up, addressing the elephant in the room. Not many intellectual Malays dare to speak about the pressing sensitive issues we face in Malaysia, not even Keluar Sekejap, you can tell that KJ is trying to preserve his “political brand” and waiting for the right moment to jump back in the lever of power. Well done Harith. Looking forward for Sesat…

It's so refreshing to hear Prof Tajuddin's bold and multi-faceted points of view. I share his insights on seeing the bigger picture and be critically aware of the hidden agendas of those playing up controversial issues for their vested interests. I always felt alone among my community when I don't share their overtly racist sentiments nor believe the narrative that Malays/muslims in Tanah Melayu (especially) are under threat by the non-muslims/non-malays. Just like Prof Tajuddin, I also believe that the conduct of our Prophet was far from racism but one which exuded love, understanding, humanity and compassion and which, we should all uphold in our behaviour regardless of faith. For we are all human after all and to be human is first, to be humane to each other. Thank you Prof Tajuddin and Harith Iskandar for this wonderfully insightful podcast. I used to feel alone for having a different worldview from many of my Malay/muslim relatives/friends/ communities but not anymore. Malaysia is a beautiful multi-racial, multi-cultural and multi -religious country. Unity in diversity is our strength. So, let's not let anyone with extreme worldview and with hidden 'selfish political' agenda manipulate and control us. We can do better and be better if we are open-minded and always seeking knowledge and the truth by reading widely and cross-referencing from various sources before forming an opinion or making a judgement, treat each other right, with love, compassion and respect and we will sustain the beauty of a harmonious Malaysia.

The boycott affected many workers of KK Mart predominantly malays. Am sure many families must have suffered. Always rationalize the consequences of all those directly earning a living from KKM, and the many other industries who are depending on KKM employees to support their business. Eg, the barber, restaurants, retail units and etc etc , the list will go on.

What is the meaning of provocation? Stop abusing it by hiding behind it as cowards . Stop abusing the word provocation like the Gazan being used as human shields by the barbarian Hamas Islamic terrorists organisation. Truth though alien to most abdooos is not the slightest provocation but certainly hurts . One must have brains in the head to understand truth.

One the most sensible scientist like Carl Sagan doesn't need to be in politics. He kept teaching science to the public with a philosophical and moral perspective. People who wants to learn will learn. We don't need Prof to be a PM, Prof Tajuddin should just be Prof Tajuddin or at least our own Carl Sagan.
