I think that's actually it. A number of these cards are cards that can be decent, but require things to go right for the deck to function, so are actually included in decks... And then those decks, you know, lose so they lose cubes/etc. Card that are just flagrantly *unplayable*, that don't even have the glimmer of a use case, are going to hover closer to 0/no data available because, well, no one would ever run them.
I suspect what drags down cards with specific use cases are people trying to make them work in decks that can't quite reliably hit that use case, which makes the decks worse for their inclusion and drags the card down, unlike some, arguably "worse" cards, that are so obviously bad that no one runs them in the first place. Can't lose cubes if you aren't in any decks.
How the heck did Namor not make the list of the worst cards. I truly don't understand that card. 11 power is never winning a lane. And without his buff he's just a 4/6 which is terrible by current Snap standards.
It's a problem with the methodology of relying on data collection, not that the card is good. He's a Series 1 card. He will have a win rate higher by that alone because newer players will be using him, facing opponents who will also be using early series cards and facing more bots, giving him an inflated win rate. He will also will be outclassed very early, so people won't continue to use him as they progress even into Series 3, unlike Wolfsbane or Warpath.
I mean I was clowning on high collection decks with Namor recently. The real trick with him is that he forces a lot of resources from your opponent to contend with, but all you have to do is add a Klaw and a Spectrum and you have 21 power. Is the opponent going to commit 21 power to that lane? Or waste Shang Chi on Namor? Not likely. And if they *do* spend resources on it, they aren't fighting the other lanes. So essentially you can treat him like Nebula. Set him, forget him, win if you can and win the others if you can’t.
Dude, I’ve been stealing games with Rhino 😂 As soon as someone storms for that stupid war machine legion combo, I hit them with a rhino and they just retreat 😂
I think Rhino suffers a little just for Scarlet Witch existing. She might have potential crazy (good/bad) results, but if your goal is just "turn off problem locations" she's the same stats for 1 cheaper.
@@thaddeusgenhelm8979 yeah, I keep expecting rhino to get a buff or a change, but he doesn’t have the fandom like captain America and he’s reliably boring, so it feels like he’s just forgotten 🤷♂️
I think relying on cube rate is a flawed way to rank cards. - Cube farming can skew the results if they arent played in other decks, which can explain Martyr and Hulkling. Hell, even BRB given he got an old comic cover art recently and decks he's in aren't popular. - Some Series 1&2 cards get higher cube rates in the lower ranks, but get outclassed and replaced by the time Series 3 rolls around. So they get inflated cube rates. - Conversely, some Series 1&2 cards stick around too long into Series 3+ because they require Series 4-5 cards to replace them. Wolfsbane and Warpath are good examples. I think you remove Wolfsbane, Sasquatch, BRB, Hulkling, and Mantis. And I think you add something like Kang, Daredevil, Orka, Groot, Yellowjacket, Namor, Drax, Star-Lord, Rescue, Ghost, or Kingpin.
I love playing with Arishem decks as its a different deck every time, and you have to constantly adapt to the cards it gives you. I prefer it this way rather than playing with the same cards constantly, like destroy, move, etc. Its makes the game play more varied and has you thinking each turn. Also, its feels awesome when you randomly get a card that you are needing to win the game.
I remember having 2 keys that week and choosing not to risk it as I "didn't have most of the cards for a decent arishem deck anyway" fast forward today Arishem alone is enough to win
@@richieagame503 He would be REALLY busted as an on-curve 2/3 play. His effect is fine. Making him a 3/5 should already give him the much needed bump he needs to be usable out of Arishem.
I've been playing Emporer Hulkling in Arishem eversince I got him as an Alioth substitute and I have to say I really love him in the Mix. Embrace the chaos. Love your vids, they are an essential component to my pre sleep routine❤
Buff ideas: Mantis: same condition but actually steal from opponents hand Martyr: 2/7 Mordo: like dr. strange, but pulling lowest power card Wolfsbane: 2/0 Nakia: 3/4 Rhino: same ability but add a rock to opponents side of ruins Sauron: 3/5 since it's more of a negative ability like ghost Warpath: no idea, maybe 4/6 BRB: 4/7 would be too strong so maybe just make Stormbreaker a 0/2 Sasquatch: 6/11 (?) Hulkling: no idea, just wait for a better pool of 6-cost cards
All of them are fine except sauron. You just need to know how to play them and leave behind mainstream deck, for Sauron, he can be only play for negative ongoing cards and no new negative ongoing cards. So they need buff him. Also, from what i heard, SD rarely buff or nerf Series 3 below because it ruin new player gameplay.
second dinner said that hulkling couldn’t be properly balanced at 5 cost no matter what power they tried because 5-drops aren’t meant to have those effects
You could do an Arishem deck with the eleven cards of which you have the fewest boosters. That won't necessarily guarantee *bad* cards, but good luck finding any synergy between the included cards and any that are randomly generated.
This is a very interesting experiment, I did something similar myself. Sometimes a game can be won with a single card + random power stats, and Arishem might as well provide you with it. I built a very bad deck like this but without Arishem, and still managed to win games because I had Rogue (stealing a key ongoing), Scarlet Witch (turning off limbo) and Gambit. Being unpredictable is a big factor in this game right now, and Arishem is all about it. Bad decks will never be consistent, but compared to other card games I've played, it is way more doable to win with them or win because of favorable RNG.
I think I played against you today, you had bad optimise deck with Gambit (no discard sinergy) and some random other cards like Orka? Without Arishem? The player collection level was 10035 and his highest rank was iron 14? It was you? What was you doing in gold conquest? Thank you for infinite ticket so. Easy win for me.
Sasquatch is a woman, at least the one in the game because she is based on Exiles Sasquatch - an alternate universe version… which is confusing because the main 616 Sasquatch is a guy
See deck labeled worst Marvel Snap cards, clicks video, immediate confusion when no Kang. Or is the fact that Kang sees 0 play not register it on the stats page.
Bad Arishem deck idea - create a deck that specifically relies on just making a horribly big deck, so the two absolutely needed cards are Arishem and Thanos, then i would add in the asgard trio of Thor, Beta Ray Bill And Jane Foster, this is the fundamentals, then add in Lockjaw, Blink and Jubilee to get randomly added cards and that is the Terrishem core. I feel like you get to make it however you want from there, because sure you can add more anti-synergy like warpath and Ultron, but the Terrishem is meant to just be a massive deck and there is some merit in trying to make this core work. Arishem, Thanos, Thor, Beta Ray Bill, Jane Foster, Lockjaw, Blink and Jubilee. Just to collect the list in one place.
I defend Martyr, Wolfsbane, Sasquatch and Arishem. They are good for me. Martyr best use in Living Tribunal deck to steal priority and i got infinite multiple time ever since her released. Wolfsbane good with Mr.Negative Sasquatch good with bounce or Arishem with she hulk and skaar deck. Arishem was God. Before they nerf him, loki, blob, and doc oct.
martyr is a. unusable because hydra bob has a strictly better effect and b. probably does better in zoo where you can fill up each location and prevent her from sabotaging you
@@icenovice i already said martyr is better for my living tribunal deck. I just dump her and magik at annoying location to steal priority so i can play cosmo early, at other location i dump cosmo, iron man, living tribunal and onslaught or captain america. Since her release till now approx 2000 game i played she only move 5 times because i am bored and what happen if i put her with ironman and living, most loses because living tribunal not enough number or living and iron man never drawn. Zoo was never my cup of tea. I am kind of guy play unexpected play like living tribunal, arishem or move. I wanted hydra bob so bad but i can't get him because i wasted my key for arishem. If i get him i play with martyr and silk with combination of cerebro and madame web to make unexpected play.
After hitting infinite, i also have a worst cards deck I Play for fun America Chavez (sad what they did to her) Baron Mordo Colossus Rhino Mister Fantastic Punisher Rescue Jessica Jones White Queen Adam Warlock Aero Leader it really cannot win but when it does it really tilts the opponent
Hey Regis, love the content man, i recently binge watched pretty much all your snap shorts and i gotta say, as i worked further back in time it was wild seeing the old versions of nerfed cards popping up. blew my mind how OP some of them seem even by todays standards. like old Zabu. i think a youtube video based around top nerfed cards and how they would impact todays meta if they got reverted would be cool.
Miek is a good card in the few decks that he fits. Mainly Dracula / Modok discard. Adam is a good card in Arishem and literally never played in everything else. And Kang isn’t played enough to be ranked at all lmao.
I like to think SD was like: nah we don't want to deal with Arishem so we are just gonna pair up these very skillful(not) players only against each other and forget about it
I am a new player sonce july and Arishem is the first card I bought with token and gold, I love it. Never playing the same thing is refreshing, I wish there was a similar card in Hearthstone ^^ I am playing it less and less..
Prince Malchezar. There is 2 cards that cost 4 and give you random decks (forgot their names) and there is a cape that give you EVIL deck. There is multiple way to play Like with Arishem.
I'm actually unsurprised Sasquatch is on the list. There are few cards I've straight up regretted wasting keys on, and Sasquatch is absolutely in that category. I constantly wished Sasquatch was just about anything else good almost every time it was playable.
I'm still surprised White Queen isn't on the list of worst performing cards. Like in which deck is she performing better than Wolfsbane or Beta Ray Bill?
Wolfsbane could easily have a 3/2 or even 3/3 baseline now adays. Gladiator/sage/speed all just outclass her with way less commitment. Rhino though is still one of my favorite cards in c3. I prefer him over scarlet witch
I feel like mordo is much better now and is a pain to play against. Is it a card that people just retreat on or not being baked with? I use him with master mold/widow
11:25 with the benefit of hindsight, if Regis had put the Shanna right with the antman he could've won the tie breaker Opp: 19 + 19 + 19 = 57 Regis: 34 + 8 + 19 = 61 However, that play only makes sense in hindsight as why wouldn't you want to get full value out of Shanna and assuming the opponent plays the exact same play
Sasquatch and beta ray shouldn’t have been in the deck imo. Their win rate is bad because people force them Into decks that don’t support them. The other cards sure but beta ray and sassy should’ve been replaced with Adam warlock and groot or Drax probably.
@@RegisKillbin I mean yes 😂. I see what you did there though lol. Granted they did work in your small sample size but I’m js that they aren’t bad cards like the rest of the cards. Bill makes sense but sassy is kind of on rate good in this deck. Warlock would’ve been a better test
i don't mean to be rude or anything, but sometimes i envy those game of yours... you play against complete and utterly morons from time to time, just look at that arishem playing onslaught middle, or that move deck playing far from their move enabler card... but, that said, i think these types of videos are kinda bad for the game, as we know, SD works towards quieting the louder cries, you making a deck with a very fun card that has been guted for 6 weeks straight after release, playing against those players and calling again and again "oh we are 80% winrate", "oh we are 6 and 4 with the worst cards" only serves to postpone any sort of help arishem would receive from SD's side, since you are such a big name in the game, and your opinion heavilly influences those who watches you for anyone interested, arishem is in a terrible spot right now and you should not play him if you want to actually have a good time in the game, his winrate are floating at 49~51% and his cuberate is basically 0 again, i'm not hating towards regi, he is a great entertainer and an even greater player, i follow him since my HS days, i'm hating towards SD who only moves their asses if someone cries hard enough, so i'm putting in a little cry of my own, in hopes that the most fun card in the game returns to being a little bit more playable against good players, and not only the bad ones
At about 9:47 mention "this is best priority play." Ghost in play. So did you mean, this is play should make because Ghost in play? Or did not factor in Ghost because forgot about it? Edit: watched bit more. Forgot looks like. Mystery solved.
