I remember a long time ago I met a guy named angel he had sort of long hair overweight and people weren't very friendly with him and he used all that energy that made him feel down into a positive and now he's a beast like you! I said the same thing to an old.friend of mine We were in prison Dude was in his 50s and weighed about 260lbs, big gut but pretty muscular. I was about 210lbs and could do reps of 20 each set, So when he asked if he could workout with me that day I told him yeah but I'm doing a back workout so will be doing pullups(since the yard I was in only had a pullup and dip bar that's all u could do) He said that's fine And to my amazement dude ended up keeping pace with me and actually doing a bit more After that I trained with him everyday til.we were no longer in the same section Dude was strong af

Pull-ups need to lift like 80% of your whole Bodyweight. Skinny boy who never doing a Workout wouldn't be able to do a Pull up. Not even a Push-up. Unless if the skinny boy have taking a Workout for months or maybe years I'm skinny but can only do 5 reps of Pull-ups.

So many people don't realize the overall effectiveness of pull-ups! I was lucky enough to meet a 245 lb guy that would do 3 sets of 25 wide arm pull-ups daily! He was/is a MONSTER!

@@anthonygibson9875 I can do almost 10 ,I'm 5'9 and 225 lbs a lot of which isn't muscle, however whenever I do them I can never feel my lats working., Im strong enough to lift myself chin above the bar but I usually mostly feel it in my biceps.

Lately however I've been doing assisted pull ups and chin ups and it has helped Alittle but its still difficult .Maybe il buy a band.

@@bradleygutierrez3926 Although usually lighter guys can do more , I think if your weight is mostly muscle sometimes it helps.It isn't unheard of that there are big dudes that can do pull ups and especially push ups( I can do 48 if I try hard) .I've seen many bodybuilders and even strongmen do pull ups , apparently Mariuz Pudizownowski can do 20 pull ups and he used to weigh 300 +lbs at right about 6 ' which is kinda light for a strongman but thats still heavy as fuck .

I been doing pull ups for about year now before hitting the weights. I believe it’s really helping me to loosen up and increase upper strength but the only issue is that my hands are a bit sore next day. Now I have to do it every time I work out, it’s become my routine.

When I used to weigh 170 i can do solid 25-30 but that’s a decade ago, now that I’m 220 I can’t even do 8 even with kipping 😂 but in all seriousness, i know one of these days i can turn myself back to where I used to be, I just know it because it’s already been imbedded in me since that day i first step on a gym 💪🏼💪🏼

I didn't think 230 was considered that big, you making me feel extra big now! I'm at around 275 down from 345. Pull ups are extremely tough for me, but hey on a lat pull down I can probably get close to 230. I get like 1 or 2 pull ups and I'm dead...but that's up from 0.

@@Namenotneeded470 Maybe it is. Though honestly it doesn't seem super impressive. I mean you can just look at the guy and see that he is jacked so almost all of that weight is muscle. I've gone from zero to just a few at 275lbs. If I had been training my body for years and dropped down to 230. I'd imagine it would be fairly easy to do a full long set of pull ups, especially since it's getting easier for me to do now. Though I'm not really knocking the message. You certainly can train to do pull ups even if they are hard for most people. But I kind of think 250+ is where most body builders struggle to do a lot. Obviously I'm not referring to the person who doesn't work out. As the majority of people can not even do a single pull up sadly.

@BloodyNights and yes pull ups obviously get much easier when your in shape and lighter. I used to max out at 30 when I was in shape. Out of shape now I can probably still get at least 10 good ones

Being this bulked and able to do calisthenics is impressive. I was about to hit 20-30 pull ups when I was really slim, now at 220 I can probably hit one.

you need to do them more often then.strengthen that back up lol. I weigh the same and while I admit it’s a bit harder than it used to be hottin 15-20 reps at our body weight is very doable.

​@@theweeklydaily2024 that's because you're not putting effort into them. As I go up in weight I never let my ability to rep out chin ups go. I'm at 210 right now and just did 17 in a max out set. I do weighted often and also rep work like 8*8. Being around 200lbs shouldn't stop you if you're actively training

I'm 225 and can bust out a muscle up just fine. You should be able to do basic bodyweight movements regardless of weight.
