My problem with the updated RU-vid layout was that almost every video I watched, it would show a comment on the right that always said something along the lines of "this was the best part of the video" or "that part was hilarious OMG" and it would spoil a great moment in the video for me. I'm glad they switched it back, I like seeing more recommended videos without scrolling, and not seeing comments on videos I don't want to see them for.
