It's more of a Knight thing rather than Chovy. Knight has weak mentals against strong mid. He'd play Azir and Asol in LPL but only comfort pick against Chovy. He even claimed in spring season his Azir is ready yet GENG just give him Azir in game 4 but he choose to last pick Vex. It's such an LPL thing. 369 also last picked Udyr into Ksante in the last game they're playing T1. Bin is probably the only real chad lpl star player.

i agree with yamato, because he has deep champ pool. and 1st game wasnt ban against chovy problem, it was knight ahri problem.

I can see both their points. I think IWD is right if you have a key strategy and deep champion pool. This strategy would be great for Showmaker for example because he plays literally everything. Knight however is notoriously known for his minimal champion pool. On the champs he’s good at he’s phenomenal but Chovy can play his 8th best champion at least at the same level as Knight’s 5th best. So in this series Yamato is right because you are essentially impacting Knight more than you are Chovy.

how the fuck did u conclude knight wasnt the issue? Just because u are a fan boy? This is legit the biggest mid gap we have seen in a long time. The jgler gap was very much facilitated by Knight and the team deciding to int the bot dive in game 2. BLG cant afford to ban anything other than mid because of his champ pool. BLG has to ban 3-5 mid champions not because they want to ban out Chovy but a lot to do with how Knight can't play Azir, Corki, Asol, Hwei, Ori. They cant even afford to give one and trade the other because HE CANT PLAY ANY OF THESE CHAMPIONS. Mid is getting hard gapped starting from the draft because our little Knight cant play any one of the meta champions well enough to avoid having to do 5 mid bans and then picking first and still getting gapped in every matchup. All GenG had to do was just ban the only champs knight plays afte that Taliyah and Ahri. Chovy literally picks 4 champs in 4 games and shit all over knight. Knight was a passenger this game and this would not even have been close if it wasnt for ON and BIN. Maybe Knight comes back and smacks GenG But this was a huge mid gap

Banning Azir game 2 is criminal from BLG staff, you can't blame them for leaving nida open after they won game 1 but chovy's azir shouldn't scare any team playing international. I agree the issue for BLG needs to be the jungle, game 1 canyon can't do anything because of his pick and you could see in game 4 that it was very close, likely because mao can't have the impact nida has. Unfortunately for BLG they let corki open which makes 0 sense (for a senna ban, really ?). I think they need to take the playbook they had vs T1/Faker and drop it on canyon, get rid of asol corki first with one jungle ban and either counter pick the jungle matchup or drop 2 more bans on canyon second rotation, Xun looks FAR weaker than Canyon so you really have to make sure he's as comfortable as possible or else it'll just be game 2/3 over and over again. But maybe they don't even get the rematch and we get G2/GenG which would be super hype

@@SStrikeFury Xun usually goes way deep on Vi ults, too far forward with no follow up such that he dies before his team even gets to the target (in fairness I think many junglers do this, not just him) so I was a bit concerned when I saw the Vi lock-in.

Definitely ban Asol 123, maybe pick one other mid that you have no answer to, but other than that you need to give Bin space (he performed the best on the team this series I think) and make Xun comfortable since he is the weak link. I don't think we're gonna get GEN/G2, I have a bad feeling about the G2-T1 series. If both teams played like they did in their respective previous series then G2 should easily clear, but.... G2 played at a higher level than normal and T1 insanely poorly compared to normal. I can't help but feel like Hans' performance was a fluke, or BB will sprint it vs Zeus, or Yike will get out-performed or something. T1 is looking bad, but they have been known to recover their form unexpectedly in the past. The only finals I don't want to see is GEN/T1, so as long as either G2 or BLG defeat them I'm happy.
