Make me feel a lot better now. I got a vod from like 3-4 years ago where I was D2 and my teammate left at 5:00 before 1st kickoff leaving me in a 1v2 all game. I took it to OT for 2.5 minutes. Only lost because I went to block a shot and they missed the ball leaving an open net. Crazy to think there's this much of a gap between ranks. it doesn't feel like it. GC1 now and I feel confident about 1v2ing some champ 1s

The coaching I feel like messed them up they could’ve focused more if they didn’t have someone telling them what to do when they don’t have the mechanics or positioning to do so

I think this comes with experience. I'm used to my teammates leaving me in ranked. I've won so many 1v2s, but I've also lost a lot of 1v2s. I'm more than certain I could take on 2 C1 or C2s as a GC2.

I discovered something recently, and I think that this subject could be nice for your channel, in all youtube rocket league guides, 80% are about mechanics, 19% are about game theory, 1% is about psychology. So for the context, I was stuck at P2, stuck there for a long a** time. One day, I asked myself, how the fuck do I think that I know so much things on this game, and How the fuck my BAD teammates, think they know so much on this game ? I always think that my teammates are the reasons why I'm stuck here, the problem is that, a lot of my teammates also say the same thing about me, and most of the plats I can meet online, say the same kind of sh*t. And it hit me !! the Kruger effect !!! Platinums, think that they know too much, but they know nothing ! So I kept thinking for a few days, what are the effects of this theory on different players : - Frustration : We're frustrated, because people don't do what we think is good in the game. - Overconfidence : We think we're good, we are too confident, because we think that we don't belong here. - Overdoing it : We " understand " how the game works, we watch pros, and we " think " we can understand wat they do, so we try to emulate it, and we fail miserably, but we don't notice it, we wave dash and speed flip and we think to ourself " Oh that's nice, we're fast players, we're GOOOD " So, what's the solution for this ? - Be humble, if you're stuck at a rank, believe me, you play like this rank, and the only proof you need, is that you're stuck. - Blame yourself, blamming others is nothing but useless, even if you're right, it's useless, put it in a simple example, you got in a game with a bad player, he lost you the game, you blamed him, does it make you a better player ? does it give you credibility ? does it make you play better next time ? no no and no ... Stop blamming the others, blame yourself, and always ask yourself, why could YOU do better to win this game - Simplify the game, I found out that I was trying so much to be good, that at the end, I did nothing good, stop trying to be as fast and as accurate as squishy, you need to solidify basics, and climb up from there, play slowly, try to think fast. - And for the last one, and, by far, my favourite one, PLAY ARROUND YOUR TEAMMATES, don't expect them to play arround you ! The thing is that, because we think we're good and better then all the others, we don't trust our teammates, and we want THEM to play around us, but that's bad, that's realy bad, doing this is like going 1 vs 2, it's dumb, I discovered that when I play around my teammates, I enable them a lot, I won 4 games last evening, in the 4 games, I had half the score of my teammate, I can assure you, that I carried the 4 games, I had 9 awesome passes on the 4 games, I also had a lot of great cleares, because I'm not like " Hey, i'm gonna go up, because I expect my teammate to rotate behind me " NO, I was loocking at my teammate, the whole time, and I was thinking the whole time " Is my teammate rotating behind me ? No ? I should go back then ". Play around them, even if they are bad, make them better, and win your games ! Context now : I had this though for a few days and developped this " pscyhology theory " about why I'm stuck, now, I'm D3, it took me 1 day of applying this to go from P2 to D1, a few weeks to go from D1 to D3, now I'm slowly grinding and learning new things. Disclaimer : I'm not saying that this idea will make you WIN MMR GUARANTEED, I just say that, it's a far more better way to look at the game, and that it should make it easier to learn and improve.
