What is Cataract?
A cataract is an opacification of the eye's natural crystalline lens that loses its capacity and becomes opaque, interfering with your vision.

He is stating that eye drops don't dissolve cataracts. A cataract is a physical opacification of our natural crystalline lens. By putting drops, we cannot reverse the process.

Cataract surgery fails 35% to 50% of the time and requires follow up procedures and interventions but the good doctor won't talk about that. There is in development a non-surgical process that clears cataracts in mice with a success rate of 85% and will soon be ready for human trials. A delay in surgical treatment at this time might be prudent.

Dr. Rajashekar, I am very confused that all the eye experts that I have seen on RU-vid all of them wear spectacles even in my own country that I consulted all of them young and old also wear spectacles. I'm 85 years old and I have been diagnosed recently to have cataract on my right eye, and whenever my eye surgeon examine my eye every 6 months, I ask him why he wears glasses when he has all the technology at his disposal to perfect his vision, he only smiles and walks away without giving me an answer.

Cataract surgery will result in the need for spectacles/glasses because the replacement lens placed in the eye is fixed focus at one distance only.

About ten years ago, I saw eye drops in local drug stores, that advertised to temporarily eliminate the effects of cataracts! As that was not a problem then, I never investigated buying them! Today, they don't appear to be on the market anymore! Were they a failure or did the ophthalmic industry feel that those requiring cataract surgery, would be greatly reduced & sought to remove them from stores? Money Talks!

Sorry doc, this N-Acetyl Carnosine works! It stings a little when first used, as it penetrates the lens from the outside and dissolves the cataracts underneath. People can prolong lens-replacement for years with this eyedrops. Your statement is baseless. The protein, L-carnosine, is known to have an antioxidant effect on the cataractous lens, so biochemically there is sound logic for exploring L-carnosine as an agent to reverse or even prevent progression of cataract. When applied as an eye drop, L-carnosine cannot penetrate the eye.

Doctor-I have an advanced cataract on my left eye. I also have 'Retnopathy of Prematurity". My eye doctor (retinal specialist) has told me that cataract surgery is more risky in my case because of the 'RoP'. He said I could lose all vision as a complication of cataract surgery. I have cancelled one surgery already. In such a case would it be worth trying the drops? I would not so much be hoping for improved vision, but rather that the drops (n-acetyl carnosine) would halt or slow further worsening of the cataract. Thanks for any help.

My eye specialist told me the eye drops prescription he gave me is to reduce the eye pressure of the eye liquid. Because high pressure causes glaucoma. And glaucoma is the root cause of cataract forming in the eye or the lens. So what is your opinion on that dear Dr.??

I have dry eye. I'm gonna look for some new ones as mine are expired and try it. Maybe that'll cit the haze when I take my glasses off. The haze isn't there with glasses. Looking at my eyes you can't see anything. He put drops in my eyes and some kind of viewer and said you have cataracts. Don't worry you have time. Well I'm gonna try to find another optometrist, a competent one who made lenses ignoring my lazy right eye so my eyes can't focus together and the lenses won't let me see close. I'm NOT going to wear reading glasses just to see my damn food! These glasses are straining my eyes that hurt like heck. But he got 300 bucks out of me! I'll see if regular dry eye drops will work. When my eyes water and I dry them no haze without my glasses. Then it comes back.

Thoroughly unconvincing video. Eye drops can't do something because ... no reason given. What kind of eye drops? No mention. What exactly happens during cataract formation? Well, go learn that somewhere else, no info in this video. Also, he keeps talking about focus when what cataracts change is the light level and color transmission of the lens, not its focus.

The fluid causing cataracts is a thick white solution similar to in an ant bite. There is also a very sticky yellow liquid. I was diagnosed with cataracts. I was told I have a year before I will be blind. I have created a cure for aids; and. Needed a cure for cataracts. I used a sea salt strong solution because salt pulls out infection I noticed I sometimes pull the white and yellow liquids from my eye on the right side. I wash once or more every day as I need.

Well....Robert, you didn't say what is the sea salt solution. Does salt in the eye hurt? Does it pull out the cataract? Does it burn or injure your eye?

@@heyheyyo2389 Sea salt in the eye burns but does not damage the eye. It is similar to getting ocean water in the eye. The solution pulls the white substance out of the eye.Sea salt may be used in wounds to pull out infection as well as pulls out spider bite toxins. It does burn however. I appreciate your bringing that up to my attention.

@@epicone2449 it is slightly foggy at times but clears up after flushing with sea salt water. What happened is a thick sticky fluid builds up and doesn't allow the white substance to come out of the eyes. Maybe just water flushing would suffice butte salt draws out the fluids I have had no worsening of my eyesight. The sea salt solution doesn't cure the cataracts It draws out the white fluids causing eyesight loss.

I have been using prescription eye drops for a long time for glaucoma I have the complete set glaucoma, macular degeneration and cataracts. Drops are Dorzolamide, you need to see an optomologist.
