Can Firewood Bring YOU Happiness? 

Cutting, splitting and stacking is the most relaxing recreation I’ve ever done. Hard work heals the mind, stresses the body so I sleep deep, makes me Christmas money for the grand dudes, warms our home and our soul. I sell 1/3, 1/2 and whole cords only in addition to part time tree service work so not a whole lot of time for full time firewood. You’re doing a fine job on your channel, I’ll watch whatever you toss at us. 👍

I would agree, normally relaxed having a fire.

Travis, you absolutely nailed it. People buy bundles for convenience it is way easier to grab 4 $5 dollar bundles than a $20 rack. It also is cleaner in a vehicle. Many of my customers have cars, SUVs and vans.

Like SaltRock said already. I enjoy the time cutting, splitting, and stacking. And at the end the travel time to delivery. Granted, I dont have grandkids yet that hopefully at least 10 years away. But firewood has paid for maintenance on the house and other things that have been needed over the years Firewood, for me, is 90% relaxing to me.

this was a good video. i like more of the talking while working videos vs splitting but a nice mix of both works too. the trip to the arborist sounds interesting.

I think the different options are needed. Eveyones situation is different for their needs.

I've thought about the larger racks and decided I'm only doing 5.00 dollar bundles. Was thinking of putting a pad of paper and attached pencil for suggestions, also I've put putting a few of our local ad flyers in bundles. I asked the distributor person what they did with leftover ones from previous week and he handed me a bundle. They are soft newsprint that burns easily!

If someone wanted to buy a “truck load” you can do some math. There are many bed sizes, even to the rim or heaping, 5.5 foot, 6 foot bed, 6.5, and 8 foot bed. Just agree on the difference between a level truck , heaping load, or as much as it could possibly hold. Also stacked in or thrown in.
