So if someone or a country buy gas from you does it called electricity? If we buy the gas like any other country we use it for what ever we want so why don’t Nigeria also use the gas to give their people full electricity. For me I wish Ghanaians will stop buying from this arrogant Nigerians so we can have our peace , I can’t stand them.

Ghana buys gas because there are independent power producers also generating electricity. They have the right to buy gas to power their electricity.When there was no pipeline most of the gas was been flared (burned)The cheaper the gas the lesser the cost of electricity.The issue with Nigeria is that the country has not invested much in the electricity infrastructure.Ghana has Akosombo,Kpong,Bui which are all hydrodams. Ghana also have Ameri,Asogli, and several thermal generators.Then there are few solar and wind generators.So I don't know why Nigerians think they supply anything to Ghana.Bear in mind that anything you have in abundance is often useless to you unless you make business out of some.So if Nigeria decide to keep their gas,it will go against Nigeria because the gas makes some money for Nigeria. Was Ghana having any Gas problem when there was no West African Gas Pipeline? Nigeria has a larger market and therefore importers use Nigeria as a base to supply a lot of goods to other African markets.
Yes.. Ghana stopped for a while.. it was 2 reasons.. Ghana was owing and Ghana discovered oil.. Ghana started using oil but found out it was expensive so went back to gas... it was using Ghana gas but still not enough so went to Nigeria gas again..... the Nigeria gas Ghana light is just like what happens with Cocoa... Ghana farmer harvest cocoa but doesn't even eat chocolate...

Sunny Media, what you have to know is that Nigeria, Benin, Togo and Ghana build West Africa gas pipeline from Nigeria which of course all these countries paid for... So what's wrong with these? Nigeria has the gas in abundance and these 4 countries build a pipeline from Nigeria to supply these 3 countries with gas.... Even now that Ghana has its own gas we still buy gas from Nigeria.... They sell we buy.. What's wrong with it??

What I know is that when Ghana discovered petrol and gas as well so right now we have our own gas company called Ghana gas which is in charge of supplying gas to feed our generating plants
