Way better than 5 million useless dialogues you can't even influence by your choice so the choice is there JUST TO NOT LET people autoplay and afk. Noone cares about dislogue.

I know it's the polar opposite way of playing the event compared to the intended way, but killing the boss while avoiding any of it's mechanics was one of the best combat experiences i've ever had in genshin, it turns the fight into an actually rough AND interactive challenge (instead of other bosses that just run away or throw invincibility phases at you)

I purposely avoided the holes as i though it would result in a knock out, man i didn't know it teleports you back to the arena without any penalty. I agree wholeheartedly that we need a better combat focussed end game which isn't spiral abyss.

I love the chill easy events. Not every thing has to be a struggle with big numbers and proper team comp. Just ur faves, or a lvl 1 qiqi.

I'm actually thinking this might end up as a test for mechanics in a potential permanent version of Divine Ingenuity, given its mentions in the flavor text and the like. I don't know exactly what they'd be testing, but parts of this event just feel way too specific to be a one-off thing. Hoyo often likes to test future content through events like this, after all.

I really enjoyed that it's a chill event. You don't need to spend much time and exploring the camp was interesting. Just wished we'd get a bit of lore or learn hilichurlish with that musk girl. Some new Infos would've been great and also a little explanation why there's this event now. That labyrinth warrior is one of my fave events ever. I totally need a rerun!

I actually used the first megachurl as a damage dummy. It was surprisingly effective for that purpose, and I hope we can have actual damage dummies in the future for that reason.

+1 for labyrinth warrior. When I was still playing in mobile it was quite an experience having a round consisted of a group of rifthounds or elemental geovishaps, panicking and all. I miss that experience 😂

I thought it was pretty fun but it does seem quite idiot-proof as you've proved with this video. I'm not entirely sure how they could have improved it though, if they made it so that you had to take way longer to take it down it would probably have gotten a bit old?

I think its health and the damage it receives via mechanics are fine. To improve this battle, I would make the Megachurl more aggressive (attacks more often) and shorten the animation of its attacks to make evading them harder. Oh, and make falling down the holes actually damage you! My vision on combat difficulty almost never involves just adding more health or reducing the time available. Turning enemies into HP sponges or making DPS checks is not fun!

I liked this event. I thought it was silly and cute. This type of combat event designed with more challenge; would still be possible to defeat with a level 1 QiQi. Simply because the combat portion wasn't designed with numbers in mind, but following the mechanics. And I wouldn't have minded more challenge and nuance with the mechanics, either.

i mean yes its easy, But a whole new boss with somewhat unique mechanics that isn't just a dps check? i think in itself this is a great event, imagine events like this being mixed with labyrinth warriors (it wont happen)

There's been a huge hole in my heart ever since Labyrinth Warriors ended... Looking back at it now it almost felt like a prelude to the Simulated Universe in Star Rail, but set in one massive building rather than segmented by loading zones. One of the most fun, difficult and engaging challenges they've given us, and now we get EZ Clap, one and done. mechanic-carrying challenges with over-powered trial characters. Frick.

Me, the moment I saw the floor fall: 1. Purposely fall, see what happens. 2. Purposely fall, see if you can land on the walls under the arena (you can, after which the boss can only hurt you with its magic attack). 3. Try to push the boss in the hole (boss becomes immobile once attack begins).

I never take the hillichurl events seriously, I'm pretty sure they're intended to be goofy. When they said I had to hit the fruit back at the boss I instantly knew it was just gonna be goofy silly stuff. I do want more high end combat content but looking at it just for what it is it was very fun I loved it.

This hilichurl event was pretty amusing, didn't take too long or have any unnecessary dialogue so it was a nice change of pace. Still, I would definitely like seeing Labyrinth Warriors to come back, but for multiple regions other than Inazuma. ♡

On the contrary, I wish we could have more events like these. Not everything has to be a dps check or require strategy. When it comes to combat events, I just want to finish quickly and get my rewards

@@b1gorno426A bit idiotic to ask but consider this, then the higher experienced player would complain about not getting compensated appropriately after their hard work. You work hard planning and strategying and then get end up getting same rewards as people who did nothing for the event except participating. Similar to an event where the first place gets nothing but only participation rewards

As someone who loves to have ultimates constantly charged and characters at full HP, I LOVED that falling wouldn't mean my characters die. 😂

Like the parry event, this had some interesting mechanics, but knowing you're always able to defeat the enemies using those mechanics took all of the excitement out of the event. It lacked depth, similar to the recent cooking event. The mechanics have possibilities, where it would be fun to implement them into general combat, but are otherwise one-note. Labyrinth Warriors, on the other hand, provided some neat buffing and debuffing effects that show what _Genshin_ 's endgame content could be like. Of course, we already know how Mihoyo likes their endgame content thanks to _HSR_ 's Simulated Universe and Peak Fiction, and _HI3_ 's Abyss, Elysian Realm, and Memorial Arena. Universal Mirage is more a farming area than endgame. It's an odd choice not to offer the whales and leviathans some sort of challenge. Players should always be able to find the level they're at, so they can have a challenge if they want, or an easy experience if they want that instead. What's neat about _HI3_ 's ranking system is that as long as you have the gear and the technique, you can rise to different levels, and have things be about the right level for you -- unless you already maxed everyone and everything out, so you're leading Nirvana every week. Not an issue for me, since I'm always bouncing between Agony III and Red Lotus.

Wow, I wish I knew there was no penalty for falling. It was a source of great annoyance and anxiety running around trying not to fall into those, and made it hard to complete it in time.I also recall struggling to get in the 3 minute limit on the plunge attack round because I was doing so little damage to him.

I kinda miss the pyramid challenge event with characters trials, maybe it wasn't super difficult but it was fun, this event makes the ley lines and book farming ones look more entertaining Tho it would be fun if they add more local legends and include this guy as one!

If we look up at some comments from hoyo, they stated, that they doing expansion on late game, but the problem is - when? I suppose it won't be until natlan... And, i hope this will be the labyrinth, aka simulated universe. I hope, they won't frick up with rewards...

If I had to guess, this event was purely geared toward the new players. It's in Mondstadt, has a low AR requirement of 20, and I'm not sure about the story progression requirement but I imagine it's not much either. It's nice of them to be thinking of the new players but a difficulty option could've been nice too

I would love co-op combat event. But not the mini-game co-op combat event. Because that megachurl was more of a minigame than a boss. I don't mind minigames, but I wish there was serious combat event with co-op.

Here's hoping they make another. And if they don't, then here's hoping they remove all limitations on the next Divine Ingenuity so that we can enjoy co-op combat at both ends of the spectrum, from casual and easygoing to insane bonkers dead-in-a-second fights in rooms filled with multiple bosses simultaneously!

@@Moosashi They really should make so everyone can get all the rewards, but there is still possible challenge for those who want more hardcore mode. And my favorite combat events are those who have trial characters and your own characters. because that way you can compliment the lack of certain element character or just play someone you didn't get. Like if you have Miko, but want to pair her with Alhaitham, but you don't have him, but trial has Alhaitham. That would be cool. Some events only let you use your characters, other events don't even let you use your own chars at all. But the best are the mixed trial and own chars. This helps lower AR players too.

I'm kinda sad this event feels 75% done. We got a uinque hili, he has great mechanics.. if made with hard combat in mind... the sneak part was nice. But it just suddenly appears, the sneak part is very linear tbh, and not combat focus also yeah kinda weird how they don't innovate on old good events and keep making new ones. Even fungi pokemon was changed to tower defense. Like playing FnaF and then playing FnaF world

If you want challenge just play weak characters against the hardest contents in the game. Don't choose an easy mode and complain how easy it is.

The events look very different when viewed through eyes of veteran player and through eyes of someone who did not manage to reach any high AR yet. If you want challenge, you can challenge yourself to beating the boss without use of its mechanics. But making it hard or impossible for new or weak players to reach at rewards does not help keeping the game popular.

level 1 Qiqi is too strong! lol! Not even lying, I went in to one of these challenges in co op and it somehow took us 7 minuets to clear despite having a Neuvillette and Xiao on the team. I had to retry with a different group to get the rewards. I very much enjoy these co op domains but wish hoyo would extend the game play so it took longer in general. My fav was the platform defense mini game from GAA 2. It took like 4 or 5 min for the platform to get from point A to point B and complete the challenge. Meanwhile players had to work together to keep that path clear. Also we desperately need another rerun of Windtrace. It's been over a year and I think it's the player bases fav event.

Personally, I don't want Hoyo to rerun LW, they should make it a permanent game mode. I have 3 teams that shred Abyss and nothing to do with them

That's the optimal solution! Toss in optional Co-Op, swap out the theme, traps, and enemies every version update, and boom! You have yourself a proper endgame mode that isn't a boring DPS race against a timer. Add a difficulty selector like Star Rail's Simulated Universe too, and everybody is happy.

I am pretty bad at games, but Genshin is very easy. Too easy, particularly the events, but I don't know the last time I really had to know the mechanics of a world boss either. The local legends is a nice little step, I wiped for the first time in months and have avoided them since, but I like that they're there.

Same, I was yawning through this event. I suspect Hoyo uses the "trying new mechanics" thing as a distraction, likely so they can avoid commiting to any of said changes. (how else would one explain all the unaddressed Day 1 complaints?)

Genshin is and has always been Testing Impact. Testing stuff for later, or for another game. Imagine making combat part of the core experience of a game and then keep making fights stupidly easy.. I can't man. Exploration feels like a kid following a candy trail, and the only "difficult" endgame content is enemies stalling for time on a timed fight. I'm almost dropping this cash cow already..

I think the entire boss fight was made so casuals can finish it easily but for meta players not being able to finish it quickly since in my experience every single time after knocking it down and doing my rotation it's back to 300% resit before I even finish it

it's easier than the dog event back in Inazuma and has less reasoning than the dog event in Inazuma (I still don't understand why any of the event happened, like I know that people complain about pointless quests attached to combat events with just a domain but this one isn't pure combat and I don't understand the logic of its existence) also seriously, Labyrinth warriors 2 when

i do love boss raid events in genshin and i did like that they tried encouraging players to engage with new mechanics for this one, but i really wish they added difficulty options like some of the other combat events like feast of the departed warriors. for veteran players with well built teams this was just too easy and pretty underwhelming. the most fun i had was taking underleveled characters into coop where the boss is 4x the hp, but another funny thing is that you can match with really low ar players and the boss can die in like 2 hits lol. anyway i'm definitely going to put in the patch survey that this was too easy and to add difficult options and i encourage other people to as well! edit: i just got to the end of the video and saw you said exactly what i said about feast of the departed warriors and i totally agree lol

3:17 They way you say this implies to me that you think casuals are a final consideration/thought for the devs instead of the main thing. Because, in case you missed it, Genshin is 100% catered to the casuals. That's why, for example, in combat events, the task that requires the lowest amount of points is the one that gives you the best reward, primos, while the hardest challenges only give ore (and I think mora). 😂 It's also why the Abyss doesn't really give much primos, so casuals don't get FOMO. Seriously, at this point, after +3 years and that infamous interview, I don't understand why hardcore combat-enjoying players are still here, this is not the game for you. 😅 I mean, I do hope you continue your Traveler only challenge account 'cause it's great, but you sounded somehow still hopeful that they will add challenging content in this game and I just wanna let you and everyone else I see here in the comments with a similar sentiment know, that that will most likely never happen. Seriously, for your own enjoyment, you're better off quitting the game and waiting for Wuthering Waves to release. That game looks like it'll scratch combat-enjoying players who were left disappointed by Genshin right on the spot. I hope you try it out, Moosashi.

When I learned that by the time I finished setting up my rotation the boss was already rising up again, I thought "yeah, into the trash it goes". I wish the boss stayed downed for longer. Not against the gimmicks but this detail soured everything for me

That's why you do your setup *before* knocking it down. Unless you're running something really finnicky, you can totally one-round kill it if you set up ahead of time.

i played this event in co-op and just swung my weapon and killed it...they really needed to make the mechanics a little bit challenging....also the other part where you jump from hilichrul to hilichrul was also very boring...i didn't even bother to ge tcaught because there weren't enough of those samachruls to pay attention...its like there are 3 different paths and only one samachrul guarding all the three...i thought it would be a fun event but it was pretty unsatisfactory

The mechanics are fine, but the fact that him slipping does so much damage is pretty lame. Here's hoping all of the character building QOLs they've put in recently diminishes the number of casuals complaining combat events are too hard.

Better for it to be too easy so everyone can complete events than for it to be too hard and only end-game players be able to complete it.

The main reward is already at the easiest difficulty possible since... forever actually. most events aren't even worth going for higher difficulties since at max you can gain a few thousand mora and almost no exp books. I really don't understand that argument

I fully agree, way too stupid easy, to the point I ignored the mechanics and still won (within time) but couldn't get all rewards, so I was forced to go back and beat it again to get the rewards, really dumb that we are forced into doing that.

It's so easy, the fun is non-existant. What's the point of this fucking game anymore? Casual content is so fucking boring. At this point, bring Custom Boss Rush, Labyrinth Warriors, Divine Ingenuity and Baptist Abyss back. What's the point of releasing characters if there is no hard content to use them?!!!!!!

Yeah, this is why I've always pulled for either characters I just like, or characters who have cool, exclusive exploration mechanics: Xiao, Kazuha, Keqing, Furina, etc. It makes saving Primogems very, very easy... Also, a big "heck yes" to those events returning. I miss them all!

It's as if HAVING MECHANICS is wqs more fun that "more hp and timed content = high difficulty". I hope WuWa is the thing that kills Genshin FOR ME. Because as someone who likes hard games Genshin is most definitely NOT it.
