Elden Ring might be the only game in the Universe where you can roll, do damage, and perform a headshot at the same time.

Yes. But also no. Dragons dogma had the idea first and carried a much more fluid and damaging motion in their game. Elden ring just cheesed the realism of rolling and pulling a quick NS headshot with bow.

Today I learned that you can get to farum azula by fighting the black blade kindred. I think I'll stick to the four bellfree's parkour instead

The insane need for modders to "fix" the boss scaling is the reason for why Radahn, the genuine victor of the Shattering War, is an easier boss than Godrick, the not only WEAKEST of the demigods, but also the most cowardly. It annoys me to no end, that modders ALWAYS have this delusion that the bosses need to be "fixed". Wanna make them harder? Fine, at a/some new moves that are harder to dodge/deal with, instead of just cranking their dmg, resistances and attack timings.

The thing you're describing is artificial difficulty, cheap ways to increase difficulty. But the difficulty of these bosses are altered because the entire progression has been reworked from the ground up. Godrick wasn't fixed, but buffed to compensate for the new progression and strength players will get from exploring. Though his moveset is a different story. Made worse in every way to appease casuals who are incapable of learning telegraphs and positioning.
