That brute hiding on the roof of the control panel room I have run into way more times than I can count every time I play Halo 3, I don't know what that guys deal is.
Yeah me too. I don't remember it happening until recently. Like within the last 2 years. Once recently he actually flew down so I think it is a 343 MCC bug.
@@rm25088 Oh I didn't know about that. I only just recently started playing MCC, bought it a couple months ago and really the only problem I have with it is I can't play Combat Evolved and 2 on anniversary graphics and the brute in Halo 3 on Crows Nest.
I love that you bothered to make a catapult for the one in Crow's Nest, though I will point out that it is indeed possible to just "jungle gym" your way up there once you activate the elevator. I can't remember if the hammer is strictly necessary for it off the top of my head, but it can probably speed it up if you know when to swing it on your way up. I've seen it done in speedruns. One small critique: Tilt does not upgrade the ranks of most enemies like you said. That's Thunderstorm. Tilt increases weaknesses and resistances. So for example, shields are more resistant to bullet damage but even weaker to plasma damage. This also applies to vehicles and it's what makes such launches possible without it blowing up as easily (and punching it into place for that matter). Loving your videos btw. Just found them yesterday. Keep up the good work.
So when you say "upgrades the ranks of most enemies" that is the Thunderstorm skull, Tilt increases strengths and weaknesses which is why it works on vehicles!
Frags have greater explosion force, but plasmas work differently when not attached to an item. They don’t explode with a lot of force. But on items it goes crazy.
You dont know how to brute shot jump? Its just like in quake. Shoot the wall you are riding up, at your feet and blast yourself upward. its like a rocket jump but you do it as you are going up a wall.
So.... ya got stuck at the second elevator fully, like completely... and just skipped ahead.... Bruh.... DQ. So what are the standards for calling something completed... get stuck at any point and just skip it and call it a succes XD Come on.....
Dude getting in that elevator was a bonus because it’s on the same mission. It’s literally part of a cutscene at the end of the mission and leads to an empty shaft. I can’t merge space time and change the in game code to merge two missions together. Also I got into the elevator like 6 checkpoint triggers before the end of the mission. I would have the world record speedrun if this was possible. Ffs it’s Halo, not the Olympics
I have been able to finish Crow’s Nest without using the elevator. Not sure what death barrier you’re talking about though. I use the gravity hammer to propel myself across the water off of that grate you were fucking with in the beginning, and I land inside the elevator shaft and I’m able to jump my way up to the next part with no problems or death barriers. It’s a speed running trick I learned from a few RU-vidrs.
There’s a death barrier if you don’t activate the elevator. The world record speedrun uses the elevator. Jumping your way up is far slower and doesn’t make sense because you have to activate the elevator to proceed anyways.
@@TheShiltShow are you talking about Nailz’ speedrun? Around the 11:44 mark in his run he does the hammer jump across the water and into the shaft and up into the next section of the mission without hitting any barriers or activating the elevator and he’s able to complete the mission with no problems. I’m not trying to take anything away from your video by mentioning this trick because I think the way you got up there was very unique and probably easier to do since you can die very easily if you don’t nail the hammer jump correctly. I guess it was just surprising to me that you didn’t do the aforementioned trick. Regardless, cool video and I’m excited for the next one.
You did it bro, just like every weeks ! Just a question, why you didn't change the name of your channel ? I like "The Shilt Show" cause you made an survey, that why im asking you 😅
Thank you! I turned problem solving from an anxiety into a passion and I am beyond blessed to be able to share with people that care each and every week, like you. Thank you for watching!!
@TheShiltShow This is the second amazing video I've come across, consider me subscribed. Keep up the amazing problem solving! It puts my Halo antics to shame!
The ability to pick up an object and turn it around would be very handy in Halo's campaign. Likewise, when Half-Life did elevators, they made sure to have a service ladder. Fantastic job with skipping the elevators. It makes me wish that Halo 5's Spartans were like Boba Fett or a Grunt's methane pack--Prometheans, Flood and/or Covenant shooting Team Osiris or Blue Team would make them spiral out of control. And that an Energy Sword could slice through a grappling hook.
I mean I’m speedrunning, the crows nest elevator you can just skip the elevator entirely by jumping on the frames of the elevator. You wasted your time on that one.
Fun fact fuel rod cannon bolts bounce because the covenant didn't want grunts to kill everyone. So the fact you bounced a bolt and killed everything went against everything designed for this weapon 😂
@@TheShiltShow might have taken me a bit longer to see the video without your YT short appearing on my home screen, clever and consistent content deserves consistent support
I've actually hit the button inside the elevator at the end of crows nest, then got out of the elevator before the door closed. I think it teleports you back in, but it still feels like a valid way to do this.
Just recently got recommended your channel and I can’t get enough, man! The stuff you pull off in these games blows my mind and takes me back to the split screen days messing around with my brothers! Keep up the awesome work! (Edit) my brothers and I could never pull off anything this cool though😂
People keep saying this, but using the fence launch to get across the water is irrelevant because you still have to activate the elevator button to proceed through the mission. People seem to be confusing a speed running tactic with actually having to skip the elevator
@@TheShiltShow but you launch yourself where it is bypassing the trigger to exist in the first place, doing from the bottom of the elevator is pointless because the death barrier show's up if you go through the prison, unless you can find a way not to activate it you'll have press that button
