The name is a reference to a Halo reach speedrunner (even though he does whole franchise speedruns once a year) called Pedrogas, he is well-known in the hispanic side and his nickname is "El wey del logro"
@@llnnie idk maybe it's mocking people who think that experts at CE speedrunning are automatically experts at speedrunning every other halo shooter game?
The "I decided to take the Tank because the Reach Tank is alot of fun and if you have a problem with that you can go FU-" made me spit out me drink. Instant Sub.
(cue the eventual, infamous Reach-introduced "de-turretization" happening when one incurs too much AT damage, scorp then basically becomes a big, fat Warthog... XD lol)
On the first mission, once you get in a vehicle, you don't actually have to engage in the first 2 sections at all. You can run past them and go to the final section where you hold out to get picked up.
I think Halo Reach is my favorite game in terms of story. It also has really good scenery for its time. Normally, all the Halo games are very focused on Master Chief, but Reach puts you in the eyes of other spartans and the events that most spartans normally go through. Great video!
Frog, I always enjoy the videos especially when you're playing for different achievements. One of the things I enjoy the most is how casually or nonchalantly you set up what are really difficult challenges and how you downplay your own gaming skill. I'm a Halo nut but if I set up a challenge "Can I beat Halo Reach on legendary?" (take away any time constraint) and after a few days of edited footage we can all conclude the answer is no, not even close. Similar with your recent Lego Star Wars video. Can you 100% complete the game in 24 hours? I don't think I beat the story mode in 24 hours!?!? I know I suck at a lot of these games but still it's really fun to watch and how humble and often self deprecating you are while actually kicking a lot of butt. Keep it up my young amphibian friend.
Your Reach play through got me subbed way back. Your sarcasm and taste in comedy is what sets you apart from everything else halo. It’s a breath of fresh air. My only disappointment was not seeing cat get sniped. Your comedic timing with it was always perfect. 😂
@@shreggusit temporarily came back to earn some skin that's now available through the exchange for points. 343 really can't do anything right, can they?
This is one of the more easier 3 hour legendary achievements, because well idk how I( a 13 yr old) did it solo. Also in PoA you could've ran past the enemies in the section after the mongoose drive by going on the gate on the left and doing some jumps on the buildings and rock to skip the part. After your done there will be 3 jackal rangers and heavy grunts which are easy to take care of. You could also despawn the drones if you picked a concussion in the beginning of the level and doing some concussion jumps after the scarab cutscene on the rock to the right. You could use both strats for LASO, if you ever plan on doing it. Fun video!
The second space part of Long Night of Solace is horrible, but a strat that I found out was if you just go under the carrier before it releases the banshees you can take out quite a few then stay under the carrier during that part and basically do circles underneath it and don't go out and enter combat. I can't remember if you can take a few out from under there or not as they fly past though.
For those who don't know, Pedrogas is a popular mexican streamer who had the world record of the halo reach legendary campaign speedrun. You can see his channel on RU-vid!
Good runs man. Halo Reach is my favorite Halo and when it finally came to MCC on PC it’s the only one out of all of them I got the under 3 hour achievement for lol.
The AR really isn’t that bad on legendary if you use it in its optimal range, but at that point you’re so close that if you’re fighting an elite you better hope he’s alone lmao
I don’t know if your grandma still watches your videos. But if she does, I feel like she would like it. Also bro is not gonna leave Cody Miller alone.💀
Ever attempted a deathless run on any of the games? Like not die for the ENTIRE campaign and if you do, you restart to the very beginning? Without using speedrunning tricks mind you. I don't think there's an achievement or anything, but it's certainly fun to try. I'm currently trying on Heroic...not going well :(
Pedrogas, like all the speedrun achievements in MCC is named after the most famous speedrunner of each game during the time MCC was being developed (Goatrope, Monopoly, Joker, etc.)
There's two strats for Tip of the Spear that speed things up considerably (and are covered by Halo Completionist!) First, when you reach the mining facility, after you kill the two skirmishers around the corner, instead of heading up the ramp, you do some hopping along the support beams over the gap beneath the platforms. This will get you to the area where the Zealot and Spec Ops Grunts spawn but you despawned them! And everyone inside the facility! Meaning you can run to your Ghost or Revenant unopposed. Secondly, once you reach the second AA Gun after that, there's a Warthog up on the destroyed section of bridge. The chaingun MELTS the AA Gun for whatever reason and is far faster than the Revenant's pissy little mortars.
I knew the run would start going south when you got to Long Night of Solace 😂 Such a pain in the ass, and what's funny is that the original version of that level wasn't even that bad. It was the Master Chief Collection that made the enemies so damn aggressive
2:13 My dog aint even in the country im working in, and the sound made my heart jump thinking I'd just stepped on his tail. I'm laying in bed. I might be stupid.
I learned about this achievement when I got it on accident. I went to visit my squad, had a great time, and on the last day of the trip we had about 3 hours left before it was time for me to leave on my flight, so we booted up Halo Reach and started a co-op playthrough, knowing that 3 hours is plenty of time to beat that game. On the final level one of our teammates game crashed, and he was like "It's okay, I'll get the achievement for finishing the game on Legendary later." Then when the achievements started popping for beating the campaign/level/co-op he was fine, but then the 3 hour achievement popped and he screamed hahaha. Good times.
I did this with my buddies years ago... 4 times cause when we first got it, i didnt get the banner. Then the 2nd try we did it in about 2 1/2 hours and didnt get it again. 3rd time we did it in less than 2 cause we learned the spawns and were getting fed up. 4th try we just helped another buddy. For granted 4 of us makes it easier but it felt really rewarding
Woah lol Exodus was my favorite level back in the day too I always hated that it was followed by like the worst level in New Alexandria cuz I wasn’t a fan of the vehicle levels as a kid so like my favorite was smothered between 2 of the vehicle levels lol
