To be fair, the umbrella is a piercing type of weapon, and she got katana handle which is 90% slashing move set, not to mention lower range compared to katana blade. Pretty good combo still though, very fast and agile.

I haven't played for some time, and it looks like some bosses got buffed. It is cool, if it is that way. And some bosses seem to get a bit better timing on their attacks. It might be an illusion for me, but it seems like that at least

I'd honestly love to see a rerun of this. Hopefully the randomizers improve. Personally what I would do is randomize the handle and blade of everything, but keep the randomizing in clumps of weapon types, so dex blades get randomized with dex handles only, just bc the debuff sucks to deal with.

How to parry while already blocking with the weapon? She blocks e.g. for 5 secs straight and parrys multiple attacks, I think I didn´t catch the mechanik for that

She is just letting go and repressing block in time to parry. It's a good habit in this game as you will block stuff that you miss, and you need to hold parry to parry properly

So if it’s a multihit after the block animation starts you just have to tap L1 to parry p won’t lower his guard until you mis time it or dodge…

Not to be taking the piss, but this run primarily proves to me how ass their implementation of weapon permutations are. It technically exists, but 90%+ of the combinations make zero sense whatsoever. The fact that a player that spent as comically much time on the game like yourself doesn't even know a fourth of the weapons says a lot too. There's an indie game called Sands of Aura that does the same thing better in basically every way.

Aside from the fact she isn't upgrading, the main thing that makes a lot of these combinations bad is that using a Stab head with a Slash handle does horrible damage and vice versa. If you use the correct head and handle then most combinations work well. Not knowing the weapons is just a her thing, I picked up pretty much every weapon in one playthrough and tried most of them out.

@@TheMirksta Also the fact that some handle movesets are much faster than others. So putting light weapons on heavy handles makes no sense. As for knowing the weapons - perhaps you're right, she doesn't seem like the brightest bulb. The permutation system though... it could have been done way, way better. It feels very rudimentary to me.

@@ThefamousMrcroissant Moveset differences are mostly balanced by the damage the moves do as well as their blocking ability on imperfect parries / guard regain, the main thing that gimps a weapon in LoP in my opinion is the speed of it's charged attack; if that particular move is slow, regardless of the damage it does, getting ripostes becomes significantly harder which hurts you a lot. The permutation system could've been better, but I think it's a nice gimmick and makes the weapon upgrade system a little better, which I think is usually pretty annoying in souls games.
