I actually agree with Parky! Bb doesn’t really have a lot of good bosses but there are the few that definitely stand out!

Gascoigne, Ludwig, Maria, Orphan of Kos, and Logarius come to mind for me when I think of the bosses I like the best. The rest of them are just kinda okay except for a few that are real stinkers (Rom, Celestial Emissary, Micolash). Micolash is the best of the bad bosses imo, he's just too silly not to love even though the actual fight isn't that fun. Some bosses weren't that good to me. I don't mind Blood-Starved Beast until it starts causing poison buildup when you're near it, that was very annoying. I'm not even factoring in Chalice Dungeon bosses since I've barely done the Chalices since I don't feel like getting all the materials for each chalice lol. Worst boss imo is Rom, I just do not like that fight at all, the little spiders do so much damage and you have to monotonously kill them all.

yeah I was trying to find a way to defend it but she’s right. They have interesting designs in accordance to the lore but most of them look stupid, and even some of the ones that have cool designs like gascoigne, wet nurse, gehrman, moon presence, shadows, or the cleric beast bosses just have kind of underwhelming gameplay (at least when compared to sekiro ds3 and elden ring). And while it’s more polished than its predecessors it still feels janky, dodge windows for attacks are sometimes either too wide or unreasonably narrow/position dependent. And there isn’t much stock put into combos for most bosses. I think the game really stands out for its world building and lore as opposed to bosses, so i completely disagree with her about art direction.

Ds3 and old hunters dlc was when fromsoft started going crazy with the bosses but before that not so much bb is still a peak game tho even if some of the bosses aren’t that great

You probably only attacks after dodging so you aren't much better. It's like minecraft. Some like surviving. Some like art. Some like command block. Some like redstone. And some like creating automatic farms. You can tell which one I am based off how I differentiate subgroups. ---- Some play souls borne just for the bosses. Some just for the refular enemies. Some for the exploration. Some to for the cheese. Some for the lore.

Bloodborne has a string of like 4 bosses that are complete garbage and 3 of the 4 areas that those bosses belong to are also garbage. People saying the game is perfect are like actually stupid. I don't think the bosses are as bad as parky says though, it just that part of the game that is horrible.
