Tbh a shiny would probably be annoying because it adds like half a second to each encounter, and that will add up. A 1 hour grinding session could be a solid 3-4 minutes longer just because of the shiny animation

Imagine having all these godly powering Pokémon’s and see a kid with full non evolved bug Pokémon’s challenge you and you laugh until they faint all your Pokémon’s

That shiny starter is fake, you didn't yell "Let's GO!" 30 times, posted it on twitter, clipped it on Twitch and uploaded that clip on RU-vid extending it to just over 10 seconds for the ad revenue. In all seriousness, I really respect your dedication to these challenges. It's what makes your videos so damn good to watch.

You getting the shiny reminded me of my first genuine encounter with a shiny (I don't count the red gyrados) which was my turtwig in Platinum! It blew my mind and I was so excited

Gen V challenges are just something else. This was really cool. Having a full team just gives so many cool options, even when the Pokémon themselves aren’t necessarily good.

Here’s an idea for an AWESOME challenge that would be really hard but really rewarding: have a great day dude! You earned it!

Now every little Bug Trainer on the first routes can live in peace 😂

Challenge Ideas: No optional battles. So if you can skip a trainer on a route, in a gym, a rival battle, you have to. No level grinding on wild battles. You can only catch wild pokemon, and only those that you will use on your team. A different challenge would be adding level caps for your team so you're always underleveled and can't sweep through teams. Your choice if you want to make it single or multiple pokemon on your team. I'll add in no rare candy, exp share, lucky eggs, traded mons as well for more challenge.

You getting a shiny starter on your first try reminds me when I first got Pokemon Black. I was completely new to Pokemon and I got it as a used cartridge at Gamestop. I wanted to start a new save and everything, but I didn't know that you had to do the button combination to actually delete the save. So after around three times of getting my starter, a couple of other Pokemon, trying to save, and getting the message that I couldn't overwrite it, I finally looked up what to do. So, forth time's the charm and I got my Snivy, my Purrloin, and my Lillipup that I repeatedly kept losing. After a few months later and knowing more about Pokemon at this time, I was surfing through my dex because I was bored and had beaten the game. I noticed a little star mark next to the Lillipup in my dex and I was really upset because I figured I had run away from a shiny during the countless times I'd always run into that Pokemon. But then I realized that the same star mark was next to it's evolved form. So, I went into my box, checked my Herdier, and low and behold, it was a shiny. Tl;dr: I caught a shiny that was the first Pokemon I ran into and because I was a noob at the time, didn't realize it until a few months later.

I still come back every now and again to watch this one (as it was one I suggested 🤣). I really need to give this a go myself

Hey, I had an interesting Idea for another Challenge. Dunno, you might need to up the challange a bit but the basic idea is the following: Can you beat Pokemon Platinum while only using field moves? Those being: Cut, Fly, Surf, Strength, Defog, Rock Smash, Rock Climb, Flash, Dig, Teleport, Sweet Scent, Softboiled, Milk Drink and Chatter.

I'm half way into the video when I heard you say Joltik was one of your favorite gen 5 Pokémon. This makes me happy because it's my favorite bug type. I did a bug type only run of Ultra Moon and was lucky enough to hatch a shiny Joltik using the maseuda method after 15 tries. I named her Tes as sort of a pun ,Tes being short for Tesla, and her mother was named Jewlz. Edit: I finished the video and I'm honestly shocked hearing Hydreigon is weak to bug, it makes sense type wise but it's shocking to me to imagine a Weedle TECHNICALLY being able to defeat it.
