@Pokemon Trainer Amanda I have a few. An all-Smeargle run is always fun to watch and see all of their movesets develop over time. Anything along the lines of Dratini only, Larvitar only, Axew only, etc. has the appeal of being the weakest form of a pseudo-legendary. Finally, and I think this would be really cool, you could do a challenge where you can catch and use any Pokemon, but the only move you're allowed to use is Assist, which is basically Metronome, but it can only select from the moves of other Pokemon in your party. It was the signature move of Skitty back in Generation 3, but it can be learned as an Egg Move by some other Pokemon, and more Pokemon could learn it in later Generations as well.

Also, the reason why trainers are constantly using Agility on you is because they're thinking "Oh, Psychic type move is super effective hur due." Gen 1 AI is truly brilliant.

@@MahDryBread Challenge Idea: Gen II run with Tyrogue, first-form fighting.Terrible stats, only learns tackle! First gym is flying, then Scyther in second gym. And Lance's team are ALL part flying. You'd have to get TMs, and there are some that would help the run (headbutt, thief, mudslap, maybe swift--but he ONLY learns ONE STAB fighting-type move, rock smash). ***Alternatively, try Gen IV Soulsilver or Heartgold with Riolu. He's got pretty bad stats, not a great learn-set, but does have access to some nice TMs. Only ones that would help much with flying though are rock tomb and rock slide, which might be a life-saver. Oh, and unlike Mankey or Machop, Tyrogue can't learn ice punch or thunder punch in Gen II! (Or thunder... why on earth does mankey learn thunder?? Weird.) I legitimately doubt you could beat Gen II with Tyrogue. Gen IV with Riolu would be more doable, I think, but still pretty difficult. I'd love to see one or both of those. And, lol, my 30th birthday was literally a little over a month ago.

I was obsessed with Beedrill as a kid. I've actually done something pretty close to this challenge. While I did have other pokemon on my team, I never really used them, and my Beedrill got way overleveled. I'm guessing he succeeds.

Surprised you didn’t pick up hyper beam. The gen 1 programming means you can sweep with it, which is completely silly since it doesn’t need to recharge if you knock something out with it.

Arin from Game Grumps kind of did this in the Fire Red playthrough. Leveled all the way to to the 90's and barely got passed the champion due to a poison tick. He had other Pokémon, but the Beedrill was the carrier of the team xD

This should be interesting. Can’t wait to see what level Beedrill will have to be to be able to damage Onix. Anyway here’s some challenges. Here’s one for each main series game you play plus Sword and shield, a fan game and a spin-off: Gen 1 using only Venonet Gen 2 using only Chikorita Emerald using only magcargo Fire red or leaf green using only normal type moves (use foresight and odor sleuth for ghosts) Platinum using only geodude Heart gold or soul silver using only sunkern Black and white using only patrat Black and White 2 Challenge mode using only tynamo (a challenge I’m convinced is literally impossible) Sword and Shield using only a Wooloo Fire Red Rocket edition using only the starting rattata Pokemon ranger shadows of almia but you have to catch a Pokemon in 1 loop (Basically treat it like the first ranger game).
