17:06 For those wondering, this Future Sight hurt a lot due to the way Future Sight used to work, prior to Gen 5. Essentially, the damage calculations for Future Sight used to be done back when the move was selected and not when the damage was dealt. This means that if Future Sight was used on a Pokemon with mediocre Special Defense and the opponent switches to a different Pokemon with a high Special Defense, the new Pokemon would take the damage that the original target would have taken. Even a well built high level Blissey can be one-shot due to the way Future Sight used to work.

Genuine question about this run: why COULDN'T you use the pokemon you caught in the safari zone? They dont use moves and they dont get hurt, there's technically no free healing going on because theres nothing to heal.

The safari zone seems like a great place in this run. As far as I remember, there is nothing that really hurts the pokemon there, since it isn't a real fight. So they can go to the box without remorse.

I think it would be an interesting challenge to do a playthrough with only smeargle as it can't learn tms with the only ones by level up being sketch. It'll make it so you have to be very selective of the moves you get to use. Though I'm not crazy enough to try this, send right up your alley

Seems to me that this *should* be near-impossible because of how rare Ethers are, especially considering PP wasted either against Protect or moves missing ... but if you play smart I’m sure it’s doable! Great content! I recently discovered this channel and i really enjoy your stuff, especially the battle commentary which i realized is so well done you can keep up without looking the screen. It would be fun in the end of the video to display the stats of the run like how much time, pokemons, or even in this one healing items bought used etc. Would really give a perspective of what you go through.

Hey MDB i love your vids so i thought of a challange you might be able to do In pokemon SoulSilver smeargle starts out with the move sketch which allows him to copy and learn any move once and then the moves will be replaced by the copied move. This means you can have six smeargles with one move each which could be an interesting challange. Good luck

Looking forward to the Shadinja Emerald run! :) Small tips for Shadinja: 1. Try and teach it Protect, Double team, or Dig from TMs when you can. (will help evade super-effective moves) 2. EV train for speed and attack. (Shedinja is the literal definition of glass-cannon) 3. When possible, equip Pecha or Persim berries to prevent knockouts from confusion and poison. 4. Find and equip the Focus Band, it gives a 10% chance of surviving a killing blow! It can be found late in shoal cave near Mossdeep city.

Im not sure how to do this, but I think it sounds interesting: You are only allowed to use charging attacks ( attacks that need to be charged for one round and hit in the second). You can use multiple pokemon but no items in battle. I think its doable but it will take pretty long because even leveling takes twice the time. I dont know with which pokemon to start though

SPPILERS FOR THIS RUN Damn well done!! I used to go back to pokecenters if one of my pokemon got hurt just a little.. I cant imagine playing without one lmao. Again this was really cool to watch! Good job.
