I would recommend learning how to find secret rooms and super secret rooms. They don't actually spawn randomly, but they have specific criteria to meet when spawning on each floor. Secret rooms will usually spawn in locations that are touching the most rooms on that specific floor (where they are the most surrounded by rooms). Super secret rooms are kind of the opposite. They spawn in locations that only touch 1 wall, and they most commonly spawn near the boss room, but not always. Keep in mind, any type of secret room can only spawn in an area where it is accessible from all sides. So, if one side of the potential location for the secret room has spikes there or doesn't have ground (pits, water, etc), it will not spawn there at all. I do take all the pills because bad pills you take only once while good pills you can take multiple of, on a long run its most of the times beneficial to do so. I did lose some runs to pills tho, specially horf and i'm excited, hematemesis got me a few times as well.
The Boss Rush has 15 waves (can't be more or less), each wave spawning 2 random bosses from Basement to Depths' boss pools (possible bosses to find), but bosses can be segmented (like Larry Jr. is); Each wave is defeated as soon as the bosses spawned are dead (eg. boss bar reaches zero) It's also counted as a star checkmark on the character checklist, BUT challenges don't allow to unlock other achievements, except for completing the said challenges themselves (achievement lock is indicated by a X cross on a trophy below they key counter)
Hey Soapy. Tech X is also one of the best items in the game. Each item has a quality assigned to them. When you see their description, there's usually a number from 0-4 attached to them. 0 means it's a horrible item. 4 means it's a wonderful item. When you glance at tech x, it has a "4" next to the item description
The runes you’ve unlocked recently are Hagalaz (destroys all rocks and poop in the room) and Jera (duplicates all pickups in the room, including chests). I would recommend doing XXXXXXXXXXXXXXL and Blue Bomber to unlock gold pickups, and Waka Waka for a new item.
I take every pill except on the rare occasion on which I’m at the end of the run and my pills have been basically all good so the probability of a new one to be bad is high
pls.... dude next to the item names their is like a little number... if you find one that says 4... PPLLLLLLLLLLLLS TAKE IT. Ik its not your fault but i might have to cheat tech x in and run it for a run to make up for that boss rush
poop spawned by enemies/bosses is scripted to NEVER drop any pickups so your plan would've failed. as for key pieces, dont bother. you didnt get the unlock that makes the door spawn anyway
Nope, the key pieces still are useful because they give a significantly increased angel deal, and poop spawned from enemies and bosses will drop pickups if you leave and re-enter the room
@@Alexander-l5h8y 1. the key pieces boost ANGEL room chance, not devil. 2. you're not seriously suggesting that using up most o your health JUST to slightly boost angel room chance is worth it.
@@depressedkermit3752yes it’s almost always worth it to use sacrifice room and poop dropped by enemies can give pick ups if you simply leave and enter the room again
@@depressedkermit3752 i meant angel, one, and two once you have spent enough and gotten the other more useful things, there’s no point in NOT getting them, and also 25% is a big increase
so, going into a devil room doesnt affect anything, but paying for an item with health (in the devil room and i think in black markets as well?) will lock you out of natural angel door spawns. the first floor will never naturally spawn a devil or angel door, and the second will only be a devil room. that said one of each room always generates so some teleport effects can take you to either room early
also secret rooms can be found neighboring 2 or more regular rooms, but never if that side of the room is blocked by a pit/obstacles. super secret rooms spawn where there would be exactly one adjacent room, and both tend to spawn close to the boss room bc its the last thing on the map that generates
I wouldn't have taken the converter at all it kinda sucks. As you get better you will also learn that red hearts suck so getting rid of 3 sould hearts for a single heart containers is absolutely not worth it at all. Guppys paw however that does the opposite and turns heart containers into soul hearts is absolutely amazing
