This makes zero sense! Under Florida law, I can carry a concealed firearm on my person, without a permit, almost anywhere. But if I'm in my vehicle, It has to be securely encased and not readily accessible??

Yep. Yet another reason to get a CWFL.

When traveling through a SCHOOL ZONE in a vehicle on a PUBLIC STREET, within 1000 ft of school property, if you do NOT have a Conceal Carry PERMIT, One firearms attorney has said that FEDERAL LAW requires Your firearm must be UNLOADED, securely encased in a container with a lid, or a holster with a strap, or in a glove box or center console that closes is the understanding, But, under the FEDERAL SCHOOL ZONE LAWS, can a LOADED MAGAZINE be in that firearm, or stored in the same box as the firearm, or does the "firearm" and the "Loaded Mags" need to be stored in separate closed containers? Other sites have not been clear on this question that has been asked. It' always causes arguments that lead to different conclusions and massive confusion, so, I am hoping to get a clear and correct answer from an attorney who is knowledgeable enough on both State and Federal law to answer this question accurately.

This is great and all, but why didn't you explain what is "legally" considered inaccessible? Does it have to be in my trunk? my glove compartment? under my seat? Can it be loaded? Does the clip have to be separate from the weapon or can it be in the weapon ready to go? Quote-"...navigating the intricacies of storing firearms while traveling, Jack offers clear and concise guidance to help you stay informed and compliant with the law."....ammm this did not happen in this video. Period.

UNITED STATES MARINE: (From Boy to Man/Husband/Father, to Grandfather) 50 years ago was my (3rd) third Non-Violent/Victimless DUI ... (Simple pullover arrests!) All offenses were VOID OF VICTIM, INCIDENT, ACCIDENT, and DAMAGED PARTY. After serving (6) years as a front-line Marine during the Iranian crisis (1979), (Before having a wife, children, and grandchildren) returning to civilian life (Honorable Discharge) was difficult... Can the Bruen decision help this 67-year-old United States Marine regain his gun right for family and home protection after 50 defenseless prohibited years? When DUI arrests have NO victim, NO incident, NO accident, and NO damaged party, the 2nd Amendment "Right/Privilege" should never rightfully be "eternally abrogated", ever! - USMC (Semper Fidelis) SGT E-5 (5811)

This is not entirely correct. If you possess a CWFL, there is NO restriction on how you carry in your vehicle as long as the firearm is concealed. With a Concealed Weapon and Firearm License (CWFL) or recognized out of state equivalent, in a private car, there is no restriction on how you can carry your handgun, as long as it is concealed. This means that no part of the firearm is visible to the eye. Contrary to popular belief, there is NO three step law in the state of Florida to access your firearm in a vehicle. Without a CWFL or recognized out of state equivalent in a private vehicle, the handgun must be securely encased or not readily accessible. Securely encased includes carrying a loaded handgun in a holster which closes over the handgun (not a pressure holster and not on your person), glove compartment, gun case or a closed container. Not readily accessible means locked in the trunk or vehicle storage compartment. You'd think Florida lawyers would know this.
