I'm a 53-year old I love mountain biking I've been wanting to do that and you've made me want to step up but here's two things I would love to see doordash too I would like to see them make a section for doordashers that use bikes and this section would have no drinks on them . Hell if they ever do that I'm game !!!keep on keeping on my friend. Keep bringing us your good content brother
Hey Zach. Have fun with your new mode of transport/delivery. I ride and electric pedal assist bike to work 3 times a week for 16 miles each way. Love it as a way of getting around. Laugh all the time when I pass traffic during rush hours to go between Philly and the burbs where I live. I've missed your ride alongs, so this vid was super enjoyable on several levels. Keep up the good work.
Gas is about 3.20 to 3.40 in my area. It was 2.20 when I first started dashing 3 years ago. The ridiculous part is the lower base pay vs then and now. That's why I've been using EBT and only dashing during rush hour when I know the deliveries will take longer. I've been getting 6-10 dollar base pay depending on mileage and I still get tips on a good bit of orders but even when I don't I the higher base pay makes it worth it. When the traffic starts to lighten up I switch to EPO and cherry pick. EBT is just not worth it after that. If they start sending too many bad offers I just end my dash and go home. It's allowed me to get my AR from 47 to 60 without taking bad offers. I know some people hate EBT but it can work in your favor if you know when to use it.
What a novel idea Zach! Fuel prices are running around $3.25 for regular unleaded here in southern NM. I have seriously given it a thought. Would prefer a electric car or scooter truck delivery but the cost is way out of my price range.
im not going to lie i was laughing at you so hard for the 1st 4 minutes seeing you in a bike and helmet till i started typing and exited the video 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 bro really fucking hopped on a bike to fucking deliver 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 but aye bro get your money top dog 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 i never thought i would see the day 💯
I just started DD and UE. I originally started on my motorcycle until it got too hot. I invested in a nice delivery box and drink holder and I had a blast doing it. Riding is fun in general but with an actual purpose to give you some pep makes it a lot of fun. Lane filtering and being able to maneuver through traffic with ease and not having to worry about parking allows me to get probably 3 additional trips in 2ish hours. Only thing that sucks is getting stuck behind gated community gates that don't "see" the motorcycle to open automatically.
Hey Zach! Very cool segment. That bike is friggin impressive!!!! Hats off for taking a healthy approach to dashing, I'd actually love to try that. So does DD give u only closer orders cus ur on a bike or??? Great vid Zach. Keep em coming.
No freaking way!!! Weather hazards and traffic where I live! I saw a guy on a bike get hit by a car trying to cross the road when I was doing deliveries in my car. It wasn't pretty! Be careful!
Hey Zach! That’s a cool bike! Where I live, there’s too much distance between restaurants and customers to practically use a bike, plus people drive live idiots. We do however have a lot of mountains with scenic trails where an e-bike would be awesome! I need to check one out.
You could ask one of the workers in the restaurant but I'm here to help. The correct pronunciation is: poh-kay long O sound. Whenever you see an accent above a letter e it is pronounced like ay, like say or pay or kay. That is the extent of my entire knowledge.
Hey Zach, you never cease to amaze me. My friend knock yourself out on that bike. Have fun. Lose a little weight. I'm overweight too. I know the feeling. Enjoy! Gas in Orlando is $3.14 today!!
How fun and weight loss too. Can't beat that. My area is too touristy and no bike lanes. Missed ya, hope you had a nice vacation. I think you were in my home state if I remember correctly. 😊
1) At some point you will need to put money into the bike for maintenance. 2) Not every DoorDash zone is ebike friendly. 3) ebike is convenient, until you get a shop and deliver order
That’s how most delivery services work in Latin America. I was in Mexico and probably 85% of delivery drivers use a motorcycle to deliver. Traffic is bad so being fast is of the essence. Also wear and tear and expenses are low.
I would recommend getting some protective equipment for ebikes just in case. Road rash is not a fun thing to experience, and definitely get some well designed locks and chains/imbed some tracking equipment. But I've been looking to switch over myself as well.
Okay to answer your question Zack, over here in Kentucky our gas is about $2.77 a gallon and I would consider riding an e-bike The only thing I have a problem with that is the extreme heat we've got going on over here it's been in the mid '90s to upper 90s I would try it but I'm not sure how it would end up working out for me
I bought a 200cc scooter last year and I am at the point where I hate when I have to switch to the car when an order is too big. I've gotten so use to zipping around and love how much faster on scooter as opposed to using a car really is. Only issue is, if I select "scooter" on DD app, I rarely get offers. So I just stay on car mode and all is well. No issue so far with app because my delivers are faster than when using a car. Bike safe and good video. Btw, I spend 4 dollars on gas and lasts for a week.
You could have 15 million subs and Honda would still not send you a Supercub... but if you had fun delivering on that E-bike, you owe it to yourself and your business to test ride one. 125cc. 125+mpg. This bike has been used in Australia and New Zealand as "posties"... mail delivery vehicles. There are thousands of them with over 500k miles down under. It's a Honda. Basic maintenance and she'll run forever. Single seat means she's got room for a back rack. This baby was purpose built to be a delivery bike... to take anything and last longer than it's rider. An oil change runs $5. A fuel tank fill runs sub $5 (my gas costs more than yours). One tank gets 125 miles plus. A back rack costs more than the metal should cost... $100 or so. It's just shaped metal; should cost $30 or so... but it's $100 and it fits fine and works well. And once you got it, you attach a quality delivery bag to it... And then you start earning... It is such easy money. It's 20% of the cost of driving the cheapest car, but it's more than that! If you deliver full-time on this bike, it will force you to start your own delivery business... I have to open my helmet at every red light and have a conversation about my business. "It's just DoorDash", or "I'm just DoorDashing" doesn't work on a Supercub. Get one. Find out. People ask me for my business card in intersections, so I had to get a business card. I didn't set up a business; I just paid $20 to buy 1,000 business cards, and an entire business just happened... all of a sudden, customers just started calling my number. I was mostly joking. I didn't advertise at all. I didn't go looking for them. My customers found me and told me that I should make a business out of them being my customers. Well... most of them already were my DoorDash and UberEATS customers. All I had to do was buy $20 worth of business cards... and all of a sudden, they were all MY customers. And I had a business...
Yep, and I can say amen to that. I don’t mind if I wait five hours to get a 23 dollar delivery. It’s better than nothing because half the time I get a big I got a $10 tip for three dollar delivery because this guy was drunk or high as hell, he just wanted a 1 pint of chocolate milk from Wawa and I made $13, that’s the craziest thing ever the time I get this guy every month so
Ive been using an Et.cycle t1000 for Uber/doordash, they are great but some deliveries can be a little tricky, a rack for the back or nice is helpful to keep the weight off our backs, or to have more space :D
Are you logged into DoorDash under e-bike or are you still logged in under car and just taking the orders that are reasonably close? I ask because I just bought my first e-bike, I want to use it for DoorDash but they won’t let me login in my market under bike or e-bike.
7:30 Yeah exercise helps to get in shape but if you really want to lose weight, I'd say to just do a paleo diet, just eat the things u love but eat natural things and avoid bread, carbs. But there are many many diets like keto etc... Or u could do protein shakes etc...
I suppose if you're getting this bike for free so you can advertise it for the company, then it's a good deal. Personally, I don't have a spare 1K lying about to splurge on something like this. Cool video though!
Google BPM Imports.. They have several great e-bikes for around $1,100 and they will finance them in house with no credit check, it comes out of your bank account monthly. About $110. I bought one with two batteries. That's very heavy duty, a great cargo bike. Perfect for doordash, check it out.
I would never do door dash in my car not worth the wear and tear on your car I do door dash on the side on bike 🚲 mode and would never use my brand new car to do door dash I make like 20$ an hour and lost over 60lbs sine ion delivers on my bike an of you put two lids on the drinks they won’t spill!
EBike deliveries are way better than these car people. Car people taking up all the deliveries for people on two wheels. Any Uber eats drivers should stay away or just stick to there five or 10 mile 20 mile radius. Let us bikers get the small orders. I get any order from two dollars and up to six or more, I’m happy, you can complain all you want for the two dollar delivery orders if I’m able to I’m happy and I live in a tourist area
I am planning to do this in Center City Philadelphia... Seems like an ideal market for it, is anybody doing doordash or similar in Philadelphia that could comment?
