FYI when spraying paint use a side to side sweeping motion instead of an up and down motion. It'll go quicker and get better coverage. Things are coming together well, you are one hard working lady 😊

Hi Jas, Great progress again this week, well done. An idea for getting the sheets up solo, If you have a long straight ladder strapped to the under side, you could use the ladder rungs to lift the sheets to the roof without them bending, once the ladder is at roof height, release the straps and slide the sheet up the ladder, could also use long flat plank of wood instead of ladder. I’m simple amazed by everything you can do by yourself as a female. kudos to you for sure.

If you have long enough ropes tie around the ends of the sheet(s) and possibly middle, then use car (as a winch or even better get a boat winch on the other side of the containers to pull a few sheets up to top most shed, then can drag them around on the rafters. The only issue is the wind can pick those things up so easily too, need some heavy bits of wood or some bricks to keep the sheets from flying off while you try and sort them out and screw them down.

Last week you said something about the timber posts you cut for your floors the timber is ok were it is just as long as there is no termites in them because the longer they sit there and dry the better it will be for you in the long run

Your dad is awesome. You're very blessed to have such a wonderful dad. When i saw the size of those roof sheets i put my head in my hands and thought wth!! HOW!! 😕😕😕How is she going to do this. 🤣🤣🤣 But knowing you as the trooper you are you will work it out Ms Independent!! Cant the roof sheet get a fresh coat of paint like everything else. You surely cant have everything painted except for the roof. That would do my OCD in. Looking for ward to next week. Im wishing you the biggest luck this week. I think youll need it.

Nice Progress! A couple of pulleys would have helped a lot with that process. And getting all of the parts up and ready and then welding instead of 1 at a time. Love to see your energy and enthusiasm. Nice use of the clamps... and nice dance moves! lol You could make a lift system for the roof panels out of some of the tubing and some pulleys and hinges...

I had one of those paint sprayers, and I had to clean the motor fan and internals. If you lose power when spraying overhead in mid-jet, the paint runs back into the motor fan. It's a bit of a puzzle to get the sprayer apart, but it is pretty easy to clean once you have it apart. After this happened a second time, I gave up and bought an airless sprayer.

you wore too much paint to finish :) jk. Dads are the best to help shave time, but not subvert ability. Thank you for documenting your adventure and self discovery

check the breather hole in the top of the paint jug there should be a small hole in the top to let air in or it will make a vacuum and stop it from spraying

Suggestion purchase an electric airless sprayer Avanti painter it is much bigger with a hose the can be 25 ft long Search paint sprayer s. The one you have is light duty.

I'm well aware it's too late now but for next time try using a board or branch to lift the ends of the pipe up. It works great for long heavy boards or drywall as well. If you use a long branch try to use one with a Y end and make a T if using a board.

Was wondering why you didn't bolt the upper roof parts together like you bolted the poles to the containers? So if you needed to repair something it could be unbolted instead of cut apart.

Set up scaffold tubes as rollers. You want to be pulling sheets up as it's a lot safer than it heading back down at you if it slips - that stuff is sharp!

If the paint is a tad thick that little motor will be having a hernia pushing it through the system… 😮

Love your hard work. Be careful with any ivy. They are very invasive once growing. And very hard to get rid of when they over grow.

Geeat vid Is there a reason you cant brish paint on the steal beams instead of spdaying - other than the obvious cleaner finish?

When you go to buy the roofing Summer by ropes in ratchet straps as well you will need it

Awww seeing the doggies jumping into the lake off that jetty you built that was just a few months ago only a vision you were explaining to us, now its real!! Your channel name couldnt be more perfect, you really are building your dream and we're all seeing it shaping up!! Garden is looking SO cute already!! I can totally visualise the fairy garden! You really sound like you're so R-U-R-A-L if a trip to Bunnings is a day gone (round trip obviously). I currently live just 5km from Brisbane and have the WORST (in fact non existant, often SOS Only) phone reception here and survive on my broadband to make wifi calls. Do you have Starlink as you're in the country? Also, I know you have your animals, but did you have any concerns about feeling lonely or isolated being so far from local community? Reason I ask is im looking for land and i'll likely be packing up heading to the middle of nowhere where I won't have a single soul I know near me and I lostt my furry soul mate a couple of years ago and I worry that once I've finished building i'll be feeling out on a limb and isolated (also wonder how much Airbnb business I would attract to some of the land thats in my budget, which looks like it's 3hrs back from the coast).

Great work Jas, when you are putting material up on the roof, use your clamps as a stop guide to stop it sliding downhill and off the roof. Getting the roofing on the top will be difficult unless you have access to a Telehandler or lift of some kind. Best of luck!

I can visualize the roof finished its going to be awesome well done and please keep being safe. When I bought my first hobby farm it backed onto a state forest and the roos where everywhere i loved it, but i did have to build a very high enclosed fence around my vege garden and fence wrap my fruit trees. Hope the heavy rain didn't do any damage.
