@@amb5653 I could’ve stopped it but I didn’t want to I was doing a challenge that required me to get a bunch of women pregnant so my sim was woohooing Bella goth and then my other sim in the household froze to death at this cafe
"It's realistic that there is a chess table here, right?" I would like Kayla to reflect where in her ACTUAL LIFE has she seen a chess table outside of parks.
i love kayla fussing over the table/chair placement because in real life you just know that customers are coming in, moving all the chairs around, scooting tables together so their big group of friends can sit together, and absolutely ruining whatever design the cafe had in mind
Yeah that's partially why I hate that you can't move chairs to be like slightly turned and things like that when at a table. I wish Sims would behave this way at least.. like you place it all perfectly but then as sims use it the chairs end up just being left at odd angles, sometimes pushed in, sometimes not pushed in, etc. Then have workers that actually go around cleaning up tables and putting the chairs back.. Attention to small details like that is what would give the game a lot more personality which we all know Sims 4 is desperately lacking in.
As someone who was the dining room person for a year at my job before covid closed it, I hated that with a passion, especially when there are tables for big groups already free and clean to use.
@@cymbamcreynolds8838 some group of people pick seat with the best lighting or best background to take pic even though there's already other seat enough for them to seat. Even as fellow customer that is kinda annoying. They act like they own the place.
@@fifi7367 That last line is way too true even outside of this situation.. far too many people act like they own the place wherever they go.. or they have the "well they get paid for cleaning it up" mentality so they just do whatever they want.. yet meanwhile you know for a fact they're the same exact people that would be complaining that someone did that if they worked that job.. People are just so very selfish and entitled anymore.. which also makes it weird when you aren't that way and people are so shocked.. I've had people literally be shocked I offered to help with something as simple as holding a door..
@@fifi7367 I agree some people go too far and are very inconsiderate of the staff, but I don't consider moving a table 1 meter to the left to be in that category
If Sims ever added wheelchairs to the game, I would be so interested to see how people update the builds to make them more accessible. Like I was just thinking, how could a wheelchair user climb the stairs to use the bathroom? 😅 But I guess the game doesn't have those at this time.
I just redid this one yesterday with a lil stage (obvs redid the rest of it too) for my musician sim because playing the violin at 9 in the morning in any of the lounges was just a bit sad for me.
Just wanted to let you know, that my boyfriend does not give a damn about anything Sims related but every time I’m watching one of your videos and he walks in he says “I don’t care about anything Sims related, but I like her” so 👍🏻 keep up the good work!
You did an AMAZING job with the espresso bar and counters. As a barista I can confirm that the layout was on point as it usually is in real life. Also, chess tables are usually next to each other when there are a few of them! Loved the renovation, because you kept the vibe and feel of the original build 🖤
It's unfortunate that these rooms don't count as ones because of the half-wall! I've never had Sims experience bad weather in there (like rain) so I had no clue it would snow inside! Crazy how that works. But then again, it works the same way as the Honey Pop (?) bar in San Myshuno and it's just the worst thing!
I love this. It was screaming for help. You should try to build a cute, not modern café, with soft colors, cause all the ones you've built have a dark color scheme! Btw I love all of them, you make the best comunity lots
That little closet off to the side of the registers could be turned into a chemical room, where they keep their cleaners, brooms, mops, aprons, and all those little things! 😃
I work with people with developmental disabilities and one of my clients once put ketchup in her coffee so hey, you never know 🤷♀️ (I don't think she really enjoyed it tho, she just likes entertaining people by doing weird stuff)
I tried orange juice in coffee once just because (no one was around, it was for myself; I didn't have any milk at the time and I was curious.) I don't recommend it. 😂 That said, I've also since tried buttermilk (meh) and sour cream (better.) Honey in coffee is really good. Ketchup just makes me think of Dr. Venture; it's sweet but I wouldn't dare. 🤣
thank you for always being mindful of the packs you use! i hardly ever can download new community lots from the gallery because people use so many packs i don't have
The color scheme reminds me of the main coffee shop branch here in Minnesota called Caribou Coffee, lots of neutrals but they also have this signature aqua color. It’s a really nice combo for a coffee shop.
I don't think I've ever looked at that lot from that direction I've always looked at it from where they load in so I didn't even know this was this lie until she turned it around
Ohh my god this café was driving me up the wall, so THAT's where the snow was coming in. I love this lot but I keep ending up here in winter, less than a minute into this video and I've already had my life changed. Can't wait to see how this renovation turns out!
Man it would be nice if the sims team would do some updates with old lots to accommodate newer packs. Id rather them do a big overhaul than make a new pack right now. Maybe get some builders from RU-vid like they did for the snowy escape to just go in and fix some places up. University needs some updates with degrees as well because all the jobs that came after are not listed for being eligible for degrees but they are coded in ex:Salaryperson is coded in but does not show up so they only way to know which degree it goes with is look it up online!
The fact that Kayla put the toilet of the 3rd bathroom directly in front of the floor length window made me so uncomfortable 😂 glad sims don’t care about that 😂
A lot of coffee shops have hot chocolate or tea or smoothies. So if you wanted to go there are definitely options. Id say local coffee shops tend to be way cooler to hang out at than chains. We have one near here thats a cat cafe and they have cats hanging out that are up for adoption.
There be Kayla setting up these perfect two tile nooks and me at the edge of my seat 'pls be a woohoo closet, please', but no, not this time. 🤣 Did woohoo closets only come in City Living? Tragic.
Yep. This lot worked ok pre-seasons as long as you ignored the outside lighting but once seasons came out this lot has serious issues that at minimum require closing the wall if not a more extensive Reno to make it playable.
WHY DID I HOLLER when u said oh and we were in like a wall then caught off to another shot. also i have a crush on u and i found someone on tik tok that looks on u so i’m giving my heart to that person now 🥲
I know that you were only using get together for this (which makes sense btw), but this is where those open island living windows would have come in handy.
some of them have open mics and will have galleries for local artists and what not. some don't have open mics at all. lol all depends on the shop and the area they're in.
I think what the Sims team were trying to do when they did that was to make a drive-thru (a hint at cars maybe?). After all, what is a drive-thru, but an elaborate hole in the wall?
i put the window inside of a glass porch room, im trying to get the grill into a window as well currently i really like this building, im gna make it work! lol weather it wants to or not!
