Hi, we're currently in the process of lodging our EOI under 190 and 491 visa (which evert comes 1st). Is the family sponsorship still available to this date? I cant seem to find the portion of the EOI where you'll need to write down the details of the eligible family member who can sponsor us. hope to hear a feed back soon. TY

Hi on this visa stream do you need to wait for govt round of invitations (I live on regional Qld) or once that you submitted your eoi family sponsored 491 you could receive invitation anytime. Just not clear how it triggers the process and when

Estimated processing times were 13 months to 17 months last week but suddenly they changed it from 13-17 to "Unavailable due to low volume of applications." So are there any reasons behind it? Hi, my sister move from Sydney to Gold Coast 1 years ago, how long she needs to leave in Gold Coast or any regional area before she are able to sponsor me? (Could someone who moved to regional from city 6 months ago be able to sponsor) 2. Does the immigration department use different cutoff for different occupations? My husband has carpentry skills and work background but he might only have functional English, I gauge he might not meet the Band 6 requirement for Competent English. This is my concern as we are looking at making him primary applicant for subclass 491 as his sister who is a nurse, studied in Aussie as well and shes a citizen too already, can sponsor him. I can apply as well, or I can be the primary applicant and get my skills assessed. But in my understanding, either way, my husband must have a minimum Band 6 English proficiency, is that correct? If I got 491 visa and I went there. After one year for example I can get more points due to my experience inside australia and working there. Hence can I apply for 189 or 190?
Ok thank you very much. Please another question. After 3 years I can apply for PR visa which is 191and then I can apply for the citizenship. In this case, will they consider the 3 years period that I spent during the 491 visa, or the 4 years counter will start from the day that I received the 191 visa? During the 3 years period of 491 in order to be eligible to apply for 191, can I go outside the country and for how long time, or I should stay inside the country for full 3 years?

Your brother-in-law needs to be living in regional Australia permanently, and + you will need to demonstrate on EOI point system with at least 50 points.
