In this video I will try to make a geometry dash level without using the object that I use the most in my projects: Glow! Let's see how hard it is gonna be. Enjoy :)
@@Toxicated078 All it takes is practice, good knowledge of the editor, and a vision, which a lot of people lack. To be fair, there are a lot of levels that suffer heavily without glow and/or shades.
The biggest issue with glow levels is that they don't feel special at all anymoe. Like yeah cool, but can we, please, go back to when it was possible to tell two levels apart.
As I was watching this I thought "it would be cool to make a whole level of just building challenges, I should try that" then like 20 seconds later you said the exact same thing LMAO
A level with building challenges is actually a really creative idea. It'll feel really unique and it'll stand out from other levels set in your own style. I think the idea is perfect!
I have a challenge for you. Create a tiny level but you have limited clicks. So if you play test, it uses clicks and save and exit uses clicks. Placing blocks, increasing editor layer, creating guidelines, scroll through the level, typing numbers... Every input counts clicks and you have a limited amount of clicks to use. I don't know how to execute this but there is surely a way. Gl
You could just add some shadows made of black gradient pieces in the ground spikes or just lock to player on the ground Also you could use a black gradient orb behind all the air deco arrows (not the black "jump ring" but a gradient orb)
Did you even do: 1. Go to all layers (Not the 0 one) 2. Then Select All in the pause menu 3. Clicked on Edit object 4. Then turned the glow off even there? 🤔 Btw, really good vid and level man!
You could make ot a level which starts without glow and slowly adding it through the level and than end on your regulat styled part or on glow spam, I think it would be cool
That's easy, i use glow under necessary. Mostly due to visual bugs happening when you scale them. I use it tad bit for lighter of darker effect in the bloxk design. As a wise man said: Haters only want to see your downfall, if you do their needs, they'll become fans.
Vit i found a relation between level save time and the size of the whole levels file like all of the editor levels combined, so to fix it you should delete some of the high obj count levels in the edit tab
as a glow/design creator i actually dont hate this surprisingly it doesnt look like total trash try to finish this it would be a cool level to have rated
Couldn't you use the bottom part of the half cloud deco for glow? Like flip it around and put it behind an object and it kind of looks like glow. Im not a Creator so im not sure at all if that wouldve worked but if it did it would help with ground spike design
