I like the rolling eyes when u hearing the result, it's not that super bad - I mean it's bad - but common now, 10 minutes, it takes me 20 to choose a decent kick only to realise it's shit and swap it after 10 hours of production time, hahaha - big up for also not faking it and being honest ! Also great talktrough on the end, on what's missing etc. That's good guidelines, useful for a lot of people 😊
That was intense 10 mins of viewing but totally worth it. I was able to get my last track out because of your 1hr video and thank you once again for that. Loved how you kept it real! My Production game has improved a lot, thanks to you. Would love to see a video on how you go about mastering your tracks. 🙏🏽❤️ 🇮🇳
Every time I got frustrated cos my lack of knowledge when it comes to music production techniques, your videos bring me up providing me some inspiration! Thanks
damn your 10 mins is better than my best work.. would be cool if you could show how you'd take this track in its current condition and turn it into a well mixed finished track irrespective of a time limit. My tracks sound muddy and lack enough variation.
This is the best tutorial ever!!! I love you man! All those other "Masterclasses" are like "20 hours from start to finish". And you teach so much stuff in just 10 minutes!!!!!!!! OMG
This is just showing all your experiences you’ve had producing to get this in 10 minutes. Still a well done job and I’ve learned a lot still on the quick decisions you made
Well done. I've noticed in your vids that the master fader often goes into red clipping. How do you deal with that when making a mixdown ? Do you just put a utility plug and lower the output or do you Stage every channel once more ?
Westend: "Wow, it's superhard to make a track in 10 minutes. I did not think it was gonna be that hard." Me: Has been struggeling with making a track for the past 6 months.
You make great videos, and this one is particularly one of the best, you are a great producer and you take risk to make this kind of video and explain at the end what you will change to a ten minutes track, thanks for your tutorial and your explanation.
I like how at the end of the track you went over your mistakes and went in depth on what you could have done to make it better. I appreciate you Westend❤️ -Gax
did you side chain any of this at all? any of the percussions side chanied to kick or snare? it sounds mad clean for how long you spent you're a beast holy shit!!
Gonna try doing this challenge on my own channel! Looks fun and i feel like i could get somewhere :) the key to this challenge is knowing your sample banks well so you can find stuff quickly, and also would really help to have a default project with all your usual suspects pulled up per track, or at least have a default set of plugins put in when you open a new channel (ableton does help you save a set or channel like this)
@@itsthewestend oh of course. I meant like... Having a default set where you have synths loaded up that you usually use, without a preset loaded, and a set of channel settings with an EQ, a Compressor, a limiter, and a utility pre loaded onto a track so you can use them right away, but don't have any settings loaded already. I'll show you
