I've been doing my own research and experimentation around movement. I started mimicking the movement patterns of cats, so i sprint or do some high jumps or lift something heavy for the duration of a single breath hold. (anaerobic) multiple times a day (once per hour or so i will do a high intensity quick single set) I also add a quick vocal burst in each set as i've discovered that my voice is more resonant if i project it throughout the day, What appears to blow the voice, muscles, organs and adrenals is intense use for an overextended amount time. What seems to strengthen them is intense use for a very short time followed by mostly yin/gentle patterns (as a base of being during the day). So I use it to not lose it, without going overboard. All in all i've been doing this practice for about a week and my energy and confidence levels are through the roof without the drawbacks of fatigue i used to get when i trained for 1-2 hours straight with high intensity. As always I would love to hear your thoughts. Much love, George, coming at you from sunny Rhodes Greece!
Movement done effectively is very powerful, which is exactly what you are experiencing. Just follow your heart and listen to your body and it will guide you; "Ideas" are dangerous when they become "beliefs or isms", so don't be afraid to go from cat to turtle, or horse, or dog, giraffe, or hibernating Bear as needed... good timing on this one for me. nice to hear this from someone I respect. my family doesn't understand that I'm currently going through this and need extended time of recovering. but all they think about is growth. when will I make more money? get back in the gym? etc. would you recommend any extra activities to help the process of healing along? already doing cold showers, plenty of sleep, and light muscle work and stretching. thanks
HI, If you follow the directions for using and applying what I share in my book "How To Eat, Move, and Be Healthy!", you will be well supported and accurately informed. Love and chi, Paul Chek
There's an anniversary edition that you can pre-order. It costs more but comes with a lot of extras. I believe it will be out in a month or two. I'm eagerly awaiting my copy!
It is available in the new 20th anniversary printing. You can probably find the order information on the Chek Institute website: chekinstitute.com or in the show notes for any of my recent "Spirit Gym with Paul Chek" podcasts. Love and chi, Paul Chek
@@PaulChekLive I’ll buy a used copy or when the new edition ends up on amazon. I’m trying to buy the hardcover and paperback but I don’t want to pay $15 sales tax and $14 shipping.
