Not wearing a watch side effects includes: Anxiety Boredom Depression Neglecting responsibilities Social isolation Questioning self identity Wrist shot (?) check Seeking attention from Hugo Failing the one week no watch challenge Overall, insanity. Do it at your own risk, Actually, just don't do it, wear a watch.

Don't forget catching-up on paying the bills- assuming you have enough funds and checks. If TGV starts fraternizing with Hugo, you can be sure something isn't right, and Hugo may even win at a video game, finally. Maybe Hugo is better at Chess?

Due to the lock down in London, I've been lounging around at home, with no need for urgent time keeping. I still go through my watch rotations like usual. Now I know for sure I love wearing watches for no particular reason. BTW my favorite version of mario kart is the N64 version.

Love the N64, my favorite console ever! My whole family is obsessed with MarioKart 64 and we’re all really good at it. I’d have to say Star Fox 64 is probably my favorite game though, one of my other favorites is Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire. Those are definitely my top three.

Loving my Oris Save the Reef III. My first Oris and it's an amazing watch. My wife still doesn't know I have it. That's got to be a sign that I have too many, right? Never! I haven't sold a single watch..ever. just can't part with them. I should thin the herd, but they all have too many memories for me. Today, I have a three watches dominating my wrist. Christopher Ward, Meccaniche Veneziane and my Oris. An occasional Seiko Samuria when doing yard work or walking the dogs.

Greetings TGV. Firstly I hope that you and your family are well in this crazy time we're in right now. Secondly, I only came across your channel about a week ago, but I love your work and it's because of you that I've started to become interested in watches and to start collecting. Unfortunately I'm on a limited budget and like your good self, am blessed with very skinny, T-Rex like wrists, so my choices are a bit more limited, but I have kickstarted my collection with the Casio F-91W and I do have a Seiko SKX013 on the way too. Excellent. The Hugo intro is always great. Fun little skit at the beginning, too. Very cool and creative. I love the Oris Aquis and bought one last year. It is very well made and is very unique. It’s one of the most original designs you can buy in a dive watch. Oris has become one of my favorites. They are priced nicely and give probably the most for your money out of any watch brand.

I bought the 43.5 mm black dial with a steel bracelet. I totally thought I'd get the 39.5 mm for my 6.5" wrist. But after seeing both at my AD and wearing both, I went with the larger dial because it is so beautiful. The 39.5mm was much smaller than I imagined, even after watching so many video reviews on it. What originally interested in the brand and watch was your channel. I'm so glad I discovered it.

After a couple of Divers Sixty-Fives, I purchased my first Aquis back in January. It's the 43.5 size and fits very well on my 7" wrist. Mine also has the polished case, polished dial, polished bezel in black. Yeah, not so much a tool but a very nice watch and is pretty much my every day watch. And I expect that I'll be selling more than a few from my collection. It's pretty much the watch I was looking for when I started the hobby about 3 yrs ago. It's a great watch - in fact, so much so, I that bought a Great Barrier Reef III soon after. Another winner from Oris. I'm mostly a bracelet guy but mine came w/both a bracelet and a black rubber strap. So I put it back on the rubber after watching the video.

Funny, the one watch I bought again was my Timex Fairfield Small Seconds. I got rid of my first one when I got this idea in my head that I would get rid of all my quartz pieces... which never panned out. I thought the Rodina (Chinese Nomos homage) made it redundant, but I found myself wanting it back. They don't make them anymore, so I ended up scouring eBay to find another one. I just recently sold off the Rodina. Lesson learned: sometimes original design and brand history are more important than what kind of movement it has.

Hello TGV, Great funny intro, very cool. I particularly like the clean housing of the Oris, very functional with no frills. In general, this is a very elegant diving watch that also goes very well as a dress watch. Oris is known for the very intense vanilla scent of its rubber straps. For some, that's already too much. By the way, what do you think of the Isofrane straps. I'm thinking about equipping my vintage Ploprof with an Isofrane for the summer. I currently have the old mesh bracelet with the seat belt clasp on it. The Isofranes are not cheap, plus 19% VAT when imported to Germany. Not an easy decision, because there are also alternatives. However, an Isofrane would of course be more original. Take care of yourself, think of your lungs. This virus is not to be trifled with. Be careful, stay healthy, but please don't panic if the situation gets worse. Panic is a killer. greetings René

Around 12-15 years ago I had a blue G-Shock. I don’t remember the particular model, just the wonderful blue color. I gave it away and recently found myself missing that watch. This month I purchased the DW9052-2 G-Shock that is blue all around, from the case to the bracelet. I added some silver bull bars to match the dial (is it still called a dial on a digital watch?). This model has the bars in the middle that count the seconds, which makes it fun to look at. The brilliant blue is not too bright so it doesn’t appear gaudy. I am super happy to have a blue Casio again!

Hey there, I’ve recently bought my first watch in 22 years. My last watch was a Seiko that I bought at a Navy PX in Naples when I was in the Marines and summarily destroyed by wearing it on a 2 week field exercise in the Egyptian desert. It did not care for sandstorms. 😂. I have two friends that are into watches that have led to me developing an interest in the past 2 weeks. One of them owns some higher end pieces like a Rolex Explorer and a omega Moonwatch, the other has some more affordable watches, the most recent being a Steinhart. I decided to dip my toes into the watch world and bought an Ocean One Black Ceramic. It’s great! After purchasing I found your channel and have watched probably 20 of your videos over the past two weeks. I’m learning a lot and appreciate your incite and passion that you put in producing the videos. I’ll eventually buy a more expensive watch and am not rushing to a decision. Today I just learned of Oris and it seems a likely candidate for the next step, whenever that may be. Or...and hear me out...I could just jump to a Date Just 41 and call it finished. My wife is concerned when she hears your voice now because this is what happened when I got into knives. I started with gun show specials and ended up with 26 Microtechs. Thanks for all the videos and education! Cheers!

My re-buy story. In March 2017 I bought my first Rolex, an explorer 114270. I then stupidly traded it for a sub in April 2018. I have regretted that decision and pinned for that watch ever since. Just this week I was fortunate enough to reacquire the exact watch, I am so stoked and will never let it go!

@RobertU167
@RobertU167 4 года назад
@@animusolus The Horowitz version seems rushed, to me. To my ear Brendel takes his time with the piece. I don't think he drags but he maintains a slightly slower pace, which was probably influenced by Kempff's performance and transcription but slowed down to suit Brendel's taste. Gendron's cello with piano accompaniment is also very good but the feeling I get from it is more morose than haunting. The emotional difference to me is akin to watching a tragedy play out immediately in front of you (Brendel), versus wandering the abandoned and empty hallways of your childhood home (Gendron). Cheers

I bought the Movado Valor 3 times ...I don't even like Movado anymore or hardly can tolerate a quartz movement ( Super Snobby lol ) , but the Movado Valor is a classic among classic's . This watch is made of Tungsten and sported a mirror dial in my first version . This watch could blind someone from 100's of yards a way it shined so nice . Literally light's up the room like a planetarium . How ever it was a small dial by today's standards and very thin ....I think 34 or 36 mm wide . This did not stop me from enjoying this watch 3 times . But I sold it all 3 times too ....

I'm a 21years old collector from Madrid, Spain, and I have been watching all your videos for around 2 years now. The Corona virus quarantine is making me hate you : All I do is buy straps, poly watch, re-watch your old videos, service my own watches again and again and test them in the time Grapher. If I go broke in this quarantine is because of you, keep that in mind 😂. Love from MADRID 🖤🖤🇪🇦🇪🇦

The watch I miss most is without a doubt the first watch I ever bought at the age of 7. On my way to Kindergarten and Primary School I used to pass this little watch shop. Every morning and evening I use spend a long time gazing at all the watches. They had this all Black Octagonal Heno Quartz with Roman Numerals. It took me 2 years to save enough pocket money. Unfortunately, I lost it 10 years later when the steel strap broke. Although I own $12000 watches it breaks my heart thinking about it… I wish I could find a photo of this model

I cold go completely without a watch! My bedroom has 8 clocks of various types (bedside atomic alarm clock, mantle clock, DVD player clock display, TV screen clock, cell phone & tablet, and a couple quartz clocks on the bookshelf. The rest of the house has a clock in virtually every room, but the Loo and patio. Then you have a two clocks in the car, and one on every computer screen in my lab and office.

Said this in the last video, but my re-buy was the Citizen NY0040. I never thought I'd miss it as much as I did when I sold it. I had this nagging feeling the entire time I was apart from it.

Thanks a lot Tristano! I am from Brescia, one of the two town here in Italy with the most cases. We are trying our best but the quarantine is gonna show its effect in a few days, now our cases are still rising and hope that we'll get to a peak soon because our ICU are full. I remember your lung disease in your anamnesis, so be careful and please stay safe too! Thanks for your video, they keep us entartained here at home. Un grosso abbraccio, speriamo di uscirne presto più forti di prima! Andrà tutto bene, col tempo.

Northern Italy checking in: thank you for keeping me company. Please stay safe there and hope your family and friends here are well. Back to the watch: buy for passion that's what make your collection great. Have fun with your new Oris. Would you mind considering reviewing the new Lange Sohne Odysseus from Watchbox? I have read the Hodinkee article and it seems suitable for your tastes. Take care TGV

Had TT1 Oris years ago and really missed that kettle shape design and tank like build quality and have recently purchased used Aquis Hammerhead which looks really dressy on bracelet whilst looking equallly tooly on that fantatically comfortable and fragrant rubber strap - each watch collector should have an Oris & Seiko in my opinion!

I think oris is kinda underrated, may be its not the best value, but the range of the collection is very impressive. And watches are solid.

I prefer the vintage look of watches. Sleek and elegant. Recently bought a heuer 1991 pro 1000, for a daily beater. Love it, got at a steal. It's one of my cheaper watches, but for some reason I adore it the most. Just gorgeous blue submarinar look.

Just bought my first Oris, I got the Carlos Coste Ltd. titanium, and yes its different from my James Cameron deep blue and my Omega watches.... but hell yes, in a great way. I agree, highly recommendable. 👍👍👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I also own an Oris Aquis Date 43,5mm with black dial and rubber strap and I have just bought an additional steel bracelet for this. A phantastic watch from an awesome brand which I really love. Which watch did I rebuy? The black Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm which is a little bit more dressy compared to the Oris and which is hence a perfect addition to this. By the way - I really love your channel since it is really unique. Please proceed in this way! Greetings from Germany!
